What? A gear review channel that actually reviews stuff? I watched Tactical considerations video on the LBAC and thought, "thanks for a 10 min vid where you tell me exactly what's on the website"
GOD! this carrier is amazing. One thing I hate about this plate carrier is that it doesn't come in Navy Blue for me to use it for duty use without being out of uniform policy.
Still happy with the Agility K19 v3 you did such a good job demonstrating. That's what I recently purchased. I have been looking for a new plate carrier for a couple of years. I'm so happy that I waited for and saw your review 😁. Thanks as always for your great gear reviews 👍
first spear is pretty dated with the same price and design from 10 years ago. Shaw Concepts stuff is actually made by first spear also and is basically the "not made in 1990" version. I've showed a little bit of that but...yea made by first spear.
Solid review. I really like HRT and your the reason I picked up the Maximus Placard. I'll be over here patiently waiting for a Velocity Systems Scarab LT carrier review!
I do think that flexible load carrying design has pretty innovative. Definitely a cool concept. I would ask if you find it very easy to ditch the carrier with your quick disconnects on opposite sides? I would think that would get rid of the advantage of the quick disconnects. Lastly, with all the great sales over the holiday, I really wanted to get a dangler pouch. Unfortunately, you’ve only done one video of the series.
Thanks to you my go to is the Agilite K19, I had setup the Crye JPC prior to but now I use the JPC for workouts. Thanks again for your videos, keeping it 💯, informative and humorous is a plus because some videos are too serious about themselves. 👍👍
Glad I could help out and haha Why do it unless it's fun right? thanks for the kind words and keep and eye out for some magic from Agilite soon! -Walsh
Great review 👏... but this at 450 mrsp is a little steep rather go with the Agilitegear k19 3.0....if only Agilite can incorporate a better cummerbund system it will be an easy pick for alot of people.
Walsh teased a prototype adapter from Grim Hunter Tactical Gear that lets you use any Velcro cummerbund on the K19. AND still let's you connect in the AMAP. - Not Jason
Obviously but if your buying the AVS out of your own pocket good for you that thing is 4 times as much . Although I have seen teens at milsim games wearing all crye gear with NODs must be nice too never buy ammo and spend it all on Gucci gear I spend too much on ammo too buy that shit
I just bought the agilite k3 3.0 but it seems like this one has more options and might be a better plate carrier but I guess you'd have to wear both to compare
Thank you for the video been looking at this carrier. Had a question you said the 6 row sleeve also had the inner pocket for a mag or a radio the like the 4row one does? Cause ever picture I see doesn't show it does.
Happy 4th! Still waiting on an lbe series. Plates are cool when patrolling the neighborhood, but I want lbe if i am walking away from it. Holding out for that attackpak review, esp wearing their belt on hips and then ditching the pack and running the belt like lbe. Would be great to figure out a system like what the britts use, plate carrier over the lbe, pack over the plates.
wish I could. Every version is basically vapor ware and the new version is available for preorder when the last year's is finally available. Even if it was good, it would be silly to recommend a carrier that you can't even buy. -Walsh
Ever since i got the amap 3 for my k19, my sling rides horribly and kills my strong side shoulder/neck. Any advice? I really wanna make the amap 3 work
yea I don't usually do price. I'll mention it when it's absolutely ridiculous but prices fluctuate so I generally don't mention it. We try to load out top list with options for every budget too. -Walsh
I like the flexibility but The rear plate bag seems to set off the back ( thick rear suspension?)and bounce a lot up and down when you are ball jumping? Doesn't look like you can use a core ice plate in back? Price is steep but flexible. Hmmm
for the ball jumping I had actually had the rear plate off and didn't notice I left two clips disconnected. It doesn't usually do that when properly secured. -Walsh
You can use the Ice Plate in the hydromax back panel, or the actual plate bag if you want. The Hydromax is quite large when fully expanded, can hold 10x12 plates, or even a helmet..
Thanx for clearing that up ! So you could place the ice plate against your back with the plate on top? In 100+ desert the ice plate against my back is great! Cooling plus water.
@@johns9888 No Problem! Due to the harness system, you can't get the plate against your back with the LBAC, you could do that with the RAC though. Shoot an email over to sales@hrttacticalgear.com, I might have a solution for you.
I'm skeptical on it fitting large plates as on duty I am between a small and medium and I still got wiggle room with the issued iotv gen IV and I run and gun alot. I'm 5'5 160lbs. Would this fit me with a battle belt?
@@ThinLineDefenseCo I was rocking medium sapis but after a few months my sgts finally noticed I belong in small sapis and issued them to me. Could I handle medium plates and a iotv? Yes but is the small the best fit? Also yes. Would this carrier be a good fit?
I'd definitely love to check em out. Just gotta get unburied from the other stuff. HSP was talking to us but then just went radio silent. I'll have to order them both soon! -Walsh
@@ThinLineDefenseCo I also agree the sizing thing should go. It's your first line defense and should fit correctly to different size people S, M L etc... If you have a VIP or PUC they go in whatever size you bring most likely a Large.
I have the thorax, it's a great carrier. Has a couple things about it that you will either love or hate, but fairly modular as well. My biggest gripe is that I wish the top 2 rows were 6 columns to allow for back panel adapters. However the flatpack piggy back straps allow the user to actually have an integrated bag that can be accessed by the user. The side access is also Velcro. I don't mind it cuz it leaves MOLLE right where I need it, but would be cool to see them do tubes with something like the reine bridger. But you can use any Velcro cummerbund system. It also has tons of space for cable management. Pretty comfortable too. Not the cheapest system, but it does everything you could want it to do
@@collinjones311 I already have the Thorax I upgraded from my Agilite K-19 GEN 1. I thought I would love that one but after months of me using it the only thing I could say about it was that it’s comfortable and that’s all. I love the thorax and I definitely like the cumberbund options along with it being pretty streamline. If I could improve anything with the Thorax it would be where the QASM clips hang. I'm personally not a fan of that attachment method and would prefer the LBAC and Crye front panels. I think the clips and hooks are a waste of space.
I'm assuming you haven't used a plate carrier from the past decade? The larger front placards are normal. I'm sure you're smart enough to work around it... right? -Walsh
I see way too much excess fabric on this model. You should take a look at split front chest rigs. You can carry just as much as a placard system (if not more) without losing the ability to go prone.
It's not 1973....split front chest rigs are about as exciting as a SAAB.... edit: I joke but our mission set is to make holes and plug holes. Having a chest rig is only having half of what you need. For evading and running away, that's fine. But we teach tactics with the likelyhood of return fire.....which a chest rig would be incredibly bad for. Hiding in the woods with your binoculars? sure...chest rig it up.
@@ThinLineDefenseCoWhat you say is "we teach tactics with the likelihood of return fire." What I hear is "we only care about how cool we look on Instagram." Joke with hint of realism aside. If you divorce the plate carrier from the LBE, you can get better LBE and better plate carriers. This system you are looking at is a Thirty Minuteman setup. With a separate carrier/LBE, you can wear concealable armor with the same ballistic protection underneath your everyday clothing. If you go to the mall and someone starts shooting, you have it on you with with your concealed carry. If something bigger happens when you are out, it only takes five seconds to clip on the chest rig. Oh, and Happy 4th of July! America!
I won't disagree and why some of the Agilite systems offer such a bang for the buck. But the LBAC is nothing in terms of price compared to S&S, Shaw, LBT, Crye or a billion others. Hell I think the Core Exo starts at 700. But yes, expensive. -Walsh
They cover their faces in videos because they where in previous operations where their identity could cause issues because of their former service. When my father in-law came back from Iraq/Afghanistan he had a 500,000 dollar bounty on his head from groups like ISIS. He received multiple threats once he was stateside and even went to the extent of changing his real name legally and rarely ever talks about his service. I know you where probably joking because yes a lot of guys do it for no reason or are extreme with it, but some guys do it for a reason.
