Thank you for doing these, Sam! I hit my one year HRT anniversary in May but I watched so many of your timeline videos when I was still at the beginning.
I’m about to start HRT! Question for you-are you on a dosage that is considered normal, low, or high? I know that it varies person to person though and I’m not in any way asking for medical advice lol
So sad to see you went from fun videos playing guitar to talking publicly about body changes. You are such a talented musician and the videos you made a couple years ago are so awesome! As a neurologist, I can tell you that doctors aren’t telling the truth about the damage that these hormones do to your body. If you want to like men or women do you but please don’t harm your body with artificial hormones. Your body is designed to function a certain way, personality or interests that are “girly” are fine to have as a guy or girl. But don’t risk your health over it. I know you aren’t a doctor, but just look into the science side and you will see that you are damaging your body. No one can control anyone, but I just say this because I care and as a health professional I refuse to lie for credit or money like these doctors are to you. Work to love yourself as who you are, you shouldn’t have to put your body at risk for it. You are worth more than this social trend.
This "social trend" that's existed for thousands of years. Alright, clownass. If you have a legitimate, evidence-based critique of the decades-long practice of HRT in both trans and cisgender patients, by all means present your receipts. But calling trans identity itself a "social trend" is showing your bias. Look up the graph for prevalence of left-handedness in the US, and you'll find a sharp increase when we stopped beating kids for being lefty. The only thing happening right now is more people have the information to understand why they don't feel right or ok in their body.

ANY MEDICATION in the world has risks and side effects but people that take medication is for the benefits they provide. would u tell someone who is severely depressed to stop taking their antidepressant meds? no. would you tell someone who has very horrible acne to stop taking accutane? no AND no. what u wrote isnt caring about trans people, it just bothers u that people can change something they dont like in their body/mind and the process bothers u. natural body? ofc our dna and brains all have a blueprint of what they need to provide to keep us going or make us healthy but when u, as a conscious human being, realize that youre NOT happy with the blueprint that was given to u at birth, why not change it? how about u WORRY AND FUND TRANS medical facilities? or correct cis hetero doctors who treat trans people like shit? or defend trans people from the hatred the receive? but u know what YOU DID? all u did was tell a trans person on the internet that they “arent natural” and that they need to “save themselves”. u need to get ur medical title revoked honestly. u never cared about trans people. have a good day.
