Gahanna suffered their first loss in heartbreaking fashion, losing to visiting Elder, 27-23. In the first half the Lions were cruising, but the Panthers roared back and won on one heckuva dagger; QB Danny Nieman connected with Danny Faillace on a 38-yard touchdown pass with just 27 seconds left in the game. This loss stings for Gahanna, but the Lions showed they have the fortitude and resilience to do something special this year.
