When do you plant a cover crop of rye and crimson clover? Im planning to plant soybeans in June and over seed with brassics in August. I have other plots Im planning to plant in August with fall annuals and was considering planting a cover crop on them now just not sure if its worth it for a few weeks of cover and I don't see a window of time for a cover crop in the soybeans sense they go in early and stay all season.
I just got access to property that appears to be trees set up for logging, I have a ton of old trails that I am not sure where these deer are going. There are a few small fields on the outskirts of the property that I am guessing that these deer are feeding in. Is it worth to cut a trail straight with the old logging or should I combine 3 of them into a pinch point with the 2 on the outside leading to the middle. I can also group 5 into 1 and have that run into the other side near the field which has decent trails going to it. Any advice is great. thank you
Thanks Travis, it can be a bit picky. Im a big supporter of the seclusion blend and use alfalfa as a diversity forage here on my farm with good success.
