Let's check out the Vive Pro. This VR Headset is basically a Vive 2.0 with enhanced optics, hand tracking, a higher resolution, optimized ergonomics, SteamVR tracking 2.0, an improved linkbox and better sound. You get a 3K resolution, which gives you 78 percent pixel increase over the vanilla Vive and instead of having to buy an deluxe audio strap you now get one that is attached to the hmd.
The fresh stereoscopic camera on the front of the Vive Pro is definitely an upgrade over the old chaperone system. It should be able to spot objects that are in your way and also notify you to not move any further. This scamera pretty much captures depth data from about one to two meters away. It’s also able to track your hands.
So the Vive Pro at this very moment is an upgrade targeted towards VR arcades, development studios and other Virtual Reality companies out there who create or share content. Later this year we will see the release of the Intel Wigig, the new lighthouse sensors and Vive controllers.

Nathie I haven't seen any announcements, I was just checking to see if they had a warranty for the Vive Pro up on their website yet. I knew they had changed the consumer version warranty, but thought the business edition was still covering it. Checked the business edition, on the chance that the Vive Pro was going to inherit it's warranty. :0/

Look at the warranty papers see what it says there about liquid damage, see if the sweat line is still removed.

Does the ability to connect to USB type c and a display port make any difference when using this headset? My second does the vive Pro have a secondary guarding system and can it take into account if somebody is in a wheelchair moving around in a VR space? Some one correct me if i'm wrong, don't you at least have to have the thing powered up to be able to know how the noise cancelling technology works or not, he's praising the noise cancelling but it's not hooked up, lol, maybe he's just commenting on just the native headphones covering his ears, or maybe i'm missing something. Additionally, i'm wondering how much pressure is there to give a positive, favorable and yet objective analysis of devices when it's given to you for free, seems like that might be a bit of a challenge.

Yeah I was talking about the headphones itself here. Maybe that part turned out to be a bit confusing. I'm sure some channels out there feel the pressure to be positive about the stuff they get send by a company. On my channel we don't care about that. My opinion is not for sale and we make no distinction between a free or paid product. So what you see is what you get.

I'm disappointed that HTC didn't send SweViver a unit to review as well. He's pretty much done mostly VIVE content for his viewers and it's like they forgot him. What a shame as a fan of yours and his.

I will have to try this myself, I was about to get a vive until I went to a Microsoft store and they had vive and oculus there and I tried oculus first then was going to put vive on and after all the hype it was getting and everyone was saying it was way better than oculus I was excited but when I put it on it was not as good everyone said it was the resolution and pixels seen where very bad I felt like I was using the ps4 vr or the dk2 and the field of view wasn't as good either I guess since the brand names and for most people it was the only one they have had or tried it was getting good things about it, I'm hoping when I try this that it will be better than oculus than I would get one. Also Vive Really needs to lower there price on there headset really what your buying it for is for the name its not better in graphics or resolution, I would say there tracking is better by far but if this vive pro is the same or even better than oculus then I wouldn't mind it being $600 - 800.

I feel you. Most of the VR game and product reviews on RU-vid and also websites are partly based on experiences and opinions. Some RU-vidrs and journalists have been active within the VR industry for months while others are doing it for years. I would always recommend you trying a headset first before considering to buy it. HTC is pretty slow in terms of dropping prices. They did lower the classic Vive's price but I'm afraid it will take a long time before the Pro goes down.

The field of view of a Vive is greater than an Oculus Rift. If it was less than they must have had the screen pushed all of the way out. To pull the screen in you pop out the side knobs and rotate them. The resolution is the same but if they didn't have supersampling enabled then the resolution will look like crap. That's the problem with demoing. The people doing it might not know all the ins and outs of the system they are demoing.

Yeah they showed me how to bring the screen closer but even when it was all the way in it seemed the lenses where too far away ive never had that happen on another vr idk maybe its just my head lol but that's why its better to go and try them yourselves.

Look up Vive face cushion 6mm. I think they sell them because some people want the lenses as close to their eyes as possible. I have also found that a newer cushion keeps your eyes farther out than a cushion that's worn-in.

no nathie... dont follow what other says. its not aim at "work people". its simple because of the quality its priced so high. not because its aimed at "pro working business" people. im going to order it because i want that higher res and will give you a better vr experience. its the number 1 factor and reason to upgrade. This is absolutely NOT for enterprises or business. Buying this HMD nulls the warranty on your "business" version of your Vive set up...you know the one they sell for way more for the better warranty and extra support. This also comes with Viveport which is for consumers...so that BS excuse for the price needs to go away. This is HTC gouging the desperate customers.

For professionals who can believe that? The only professional of this Vibe is the price. The same resolution as the Odyssey, 6 months subscription to games and little improvements at all. I hope I can scuba dive with this, sweat is a weak point and a flaw in the Vibe . It can be Vibe 1.5. They say professional just to justify the ridiculous price and the white box just emulating Apple and their prices. I can do a good review if they give me a Vibe for free to. I would be very enthusiastic too. Enjoy my friend.

Not for consumers? Where are you getting this? Is that just your assumption because of the absurd price? HTC is clearly targeting gamers with this product. You also directly stated that the higher resolution display is not going to improve your gameplay experience? That's obviously false.

What if my PC don't have a USB-C port? Should I use a PCI-E to USB-C card with addition powersupply? Or a normal USB 3.0 to USB-C converter is enough? Would really appreciate if you can test this. I ordered a Pro and want to use it as soon as it arrive.

Best unboxing i have seen so far. Ive watched maybe four of them... youre the first to actually put it on in the video -_- how annoying it is that no one else did. All saved it for their "in depth review" which wont be out for a bit. I want to know if its worth preordering or not but havent really had any real information on it yet.

I actually decided to do that myself. I don't want gamers to spend their money a Pro right now because I think it's unnecessary. Instead focus on the content. All these features are not going to make your experience any better atm.

Nathie you made one mistake, The Vive classic can also be adjusted forward and backward, you just use a rotary dial instead of a push button, and the FOV is bigger when the screen is closer to your eyes, so always have it as close as you can

Weird, I posted a reply here with an image of how to do it, but I think youtube removed it for some reason. There are these round grey things where the strap attaches on the sides, you can pull those rings out and turn them simultaneously to move it in and out
