I Tried THE Ready Player One VR Treadmill! 

Don't ever stop doing what your doing guys, even Disney see's the merit in this technology and are trying recreate it in their own way. I've always seen InfinaDeck as the pioneer in this space and I'm still patiently waiting for news of a consumer product from you guys!

I hope we get to see you guys collaborate with big giants like Apple and Microsoft, take VR to next level.

I hope I can work for you guys one day ;)... PUSHING THE ENVELOPE OF WHAT'S POSSIBLE! Definitely buying me one when the price drops ;)... OR when I make a game that makes me a millionaire. I have a dream of owning like 6 of these and having game nights with the family and friends... then project all their screens onto a theater screen where everyone else can chill and cheer on their favorite player. Keep up the great work. ALSO... Idea... Get rid of the ring and replace it with a bungie cable/rope system attached to a waist and back/shoulder harness and be able to allow a user to jump, and through the pullies control how long they're in the air, as well as soften the landing, as well as make it so players won't fall on their face ever ;). OHHH MAN THAT'D BE SOOO COOL!!! Then make a game like Assassin's Creed, or The Matrix... Dragon Ball Z... be flyin around... maybe have it come with a circular wall you could run on... do flips hahaha! One day ;)

@@Gaze73 Stuff that's produced in very low numbers for very specific markets tend to be 10x the price you hope for. Cost only becomes "reasonable" once you can sell tens of thousands of something. It's brutal. The first full motion racing rigs were also unbelievably expensive, now you can get a full motion rig for far less than 4 grand. Back in early 2000s they were never below 20k.

Part of the point of this is that it doesn’t need any kind of foot tracker. Otherwise, that would work very well, which is why most other companies using a similar idea have done just that.

Given they're now doing hand tracking with cameras, I assume they could do something similar with sensors around the treadmill... of course that doesn't help bring the price down.

i totally agree. foot tracker are way better then image based tracker. for image based tracking you would need high speed cameras that work well in low light environments and a pc strong enough to process all that data plus the games

Freeaim would be another nice concept, provided the battery life will be as promised and not only a few minutes. I'd love to be an early adopter for them.

@@daisyh8805 The demand would have to be there. And it's not there yet. VR still remains a niche and cost-prohibitive hobby for most.

@shojo8708 I had mixed feelings about the tethered method. It was what worked at the time, but I wanted to look into different tracking methods personally. Wasn't really my responsibility, though.

While I'm very interested in the omnidirectional treadmill, I'm skeptical that the oasis will ever be made. Its sheer scale and the sheer number of possibilities make it an absolutely enormous undertaking. That said, there may be something similar available now in stuff such as VRChat and Resonite. I'm sure there are others, but those are the only two I know... I've only been in VR twice, so take my words with a grain of salt.

@Wilfoe I've only experienced VR once to be fair. Although I do like to believe that the use of NFT and blockchain technology could vastly improve the possibility of an oasis like platform. Even more so, with the "upcoming" advancements in quantum computing. It would certainly be interesting to see where it all leads.

@@TheOriginalJi Out of curiosity, how do you think NFTs and blockchains would help? Quantum computing is certainly an interesting subject, though as I understand it, the main benefit of quantum computers is that they can do more at once, not necessarily that they are faster.

@@Wilfoe So lets say gaming moves from having "in game characters" that the player chooses, to players having one avatar that could be used in any game that they play. so instead of cross platform games, it's a cross platform avatar. Let's also say that companies/brands/artists create digital assets of items that you can buy in real life.. say you bought a new outfit, you also get an NFT of each item you purchased and those digital assets could then be loaded into your avatars item storage. The avatar would then be able to wear that outfit/ those items. Blockchain would just make it extremely secure. Quantum computing would more than likely enable us to run the necessary software/programs simultaneously enabling these systems to work alongside each other seamlessly. Imagine an advanced version of No mans sky's' procedural generation using quantum computing, secured by blockchain and players having a cross platform/ inter-platform avatar that would have access to digital assets of skins, clothes, cars, guns, knives.. literally anything, all because you own an NFT of that product. which could be used in any game. There might need to be a json file created when the NFT has been purchased to enable the items to be used cross/inter platform. again, I am no expert. Just thinking outside the box/hoping this could happen someday!

@@TheOriginalJi I think that would be possible without NFTs or blockchains. It would require that all of the games be compatible though. That may prove difficult with everyone wanting to make their own games their own way. That said, it is certainly the ideal for them to all be interconnected. Again, games like VRChat seem to do that. It may be worth it to look it up on RU-vid. I don't know much about NFTs or blockchains, but as I understand them, they're both records of purchases, rather than the purchased items themselves. They take up a lot of resources, so I wonder if there's a more optimized way to accomplish the same thing...

If you're interested in SAO full dive you should look into the Glaea headset, using some sort of open software that the Neuralink is using. Very cool concept. I'd say we are halfway there, or almost at least. We can now read the info the brain send our body but not send info into the brain yet.

I totally feel you. I'm having the same problem. That's why I'm always looking for the next thing that could immerse us more.

Yeah sitting is way more comfortable. My solution is to play games like population one, where sitting will only hold back your reaction time. Standing feels a lot better then.

I've never had that problem because I forced myself to always use my treadmill for every single foot movement I perform. I'm at a point now where moving with the analog stick would feel like a very foreign experience for me, and therefore, I have no desire to do so.

If you have a BCI you don't need VR hardware. You play Skyrim BCI version while your body goes to work, does the chores, exercises, etc.
