I couldn't bring myself to feel sadness during this. Only joy at the forever growing friendships and bonds, laughter at the mishaps and funny moments, love at the way the characters were so firmly placed in my heart, their spot there only brightening throughout the franchise. And the feeling of content at the fact that I got to be here to watch their story...and wish I could have been there.
That's an impactful, warming, and long-lasting cinematic experience for you. Only the best stories get carved into our memories; luckily for us, HTTYD is one of them.
If you need therapy from that, I'd recommend Audrie Greywind. She breaks down the seasons so that you know the general plot line, while absolutely obliterating the writers of the show for the poor writing and desecration of our childhood love.
Thank you! And honestly, having the "eureka" moments in piecing together the edit, like making this transition, is among the best in an editing experience.
OH MY THOR. This looks like it took AGES to make! 🤯 Golly I admire the amount of editing and clip hunting in from the shows that went into this lengthy vid, lol! What can I say? This is absolutely on FIRE and seriously one of THE BEST edits for the HTTYD franchise as a whole!! (And of course FatRat music! Its been stuck in my head since the first day I watched it.) I will note: the reverse effect in the beginning was super cool, and the transitions at 0:42, 4:22, & 6:17 were all strokes a geniuses, and my personal favs. Bravo!
It sure was a sprint before the year's end :') It honestly took months for me to plan the entire sequence out, and some of the transitions were still determined on the fly (like 4:22). But it's all worthwhile in the end! Very glad you enjoyed it.
HTTYD I think will always be my favorite Movies and TV shows, and watching your edits always brings me such joy ❤✨ The crystal clear visuals, and the way the story matches the lyrics. I enjoyed the few where you used the audio from some of hiccup's speeches and I liked the slight zoom-in on a few of the clips around the 5min mark, it was subtle but worked well.
This made me feel so many things. Happiness, pride, nostalgia... your AMVs are the ones I keep coming back to when I want to remember what I love about HTTYD. Happy New Year and keep soaring!
Oh my gods, EVERYTHING about this made me nostalgic! What a ride this edit - this FRANCHISE! - was! It was such a huge part of the entirety of my teen years. Loved watching this.
My man... You did it again👏👏👏 What an amazing editing you did up here... it's really incredible. All the memories I see up here, really made me smile and tho I feel a bit sadness up here for this being over, I also am pleased that I could be part of this amazing francise. The joy, power and above all the bond they have for each other, is really amazing. Whenever I see these scenes, I wish I could have been there. Yeah, they absolutley made me smile. Thx for all of this amazing years.
Absolutly epic... Im speachles, had chills all the way through... You remind me why I absolutly LOVE this franchise ♥♥♥👍 Happy new year to you and everyone out there, its nice to see that there are people out there which still love Dragons and the whole franchise, KEEP IT ALIVE
Love You and the fact that you do this, I look forward to another amazing year of your videos! Happy New Year! Tysm for existing you make life a little more bearable 😁
I just noticed you did an anamophing widescreen Aspect Ratio effect thingy going on during 2:10 and back out at 2:35, and I LOVE IT!!! I did not notice it the first dozen times I've seen this, it happens so smooth. I think its awesome. Really adds a feel to that part of the video, like everything is a little darker and closed in. It matches the music. They used effects like this in several movies, Ben Hur (1959 - chariot race), The Mandalorian (Chapter 9), Top Gun Maverick (Flying scenes), and Guardians of the Galaxy 3 (when its from Rocket's Perspective)!
Legit the best edit ever, Can we seriously all just appreciate the effort he puts into these videos. I mean like seriously, summing up the over 50+ hours of HTTYD franchise made is just absolutely ridiculous. Congratulations, honestly
There are some scenes in there that are pure nostalgica and i haven`t seen in so long. The on Beat Transitions are so noce and work really great with the music. I dont wanna know how much time went into it, but its really good. Keep up ur work ;) Every video from u is so nice to watch and makes my da more awesome.
I watched one of your earlier videos today, it is so amazingly crazy how far you’ve come in your editing skills!!! Thank you for sharing you gift! We are eternally grateful!!🥹❤ Edit:Just finished, and Now you’ve got me crying.😂 Thank you Chris, to the Hidden World and back.
Thank you! I've always been inspired by a lot of the HTTYD editor greats to try to advance in the techniques. Great to hear the progress shows through!
This is such a jam and made me feel different emotions at various points remembering all the fun I had throughout the franchise's development Amazing video
@@ChrisEdward ty! it was made by some amazing people in 'The Dragon Prince' community, I highly recommend it if you haven't seen it yet (this is not an ad I promise 😂)
You're videos are always so comforting to me whenever I'm feeling down. Thank you for making such wonderful edits/videos. I would love of you could do a video using the song Loch Lomond by Peter Hollens. It is a Scotish song that has always meant alot to me and I would love to see a HTTYD edit with the song.
hello! You’re such an amazing editor and literally all your masterpieces are breathtaking! I can’t stop rewatching them over and over! Can I ask a question, if you don’t mind? As an editor-beginner I can’t seem to find a way where do people like you take all these scenes from. Do you download all the movies and series and keep them somewhere? Could you please be kind to share this information?
Hey, quick question where do you get video clips for free,I want to make edits of different shows, movies and cartoons that's why I was asking, also love your videos there just amazing
Hey Chris, I've got a request. I sort of grew up watching some of your edits, and there's an HTTYD game that's been up nearly a decade that's ending this month. School of Dragons. I grew up playing that game. It was central to my childhood. I was wondering if you could make a tribute video to the game?
Someone should tag TheFatRat so he sees this, I'm sure he would like it. P.S.: Also you should absolutely do an AMV with his new song - Back One Day. It's nostalgia refined and distilled, plus it fits with the HTTYD3 theme pretty nicely.
@@ChrisEdward Precisely why an AMV with this, especially an RTTE one, would be so great. P.S.: Or a full one like this video XD. I know it takes a lot of effort to do these, and to no extent want to force you, it's just you are one of the few people on Yt who keep the HTTYD fandom provided with quality content.
