Hua is an "artist" who expresses his artistic perceptions through musical performance. He is serious about themes, and his themes change as he ages and experiences life and matures and learns his craft. His songs and performances at 25 are different from age 30 because he changes. His themes and messages are serious, but it is important to know that he is both a musical artist and an actor. He is very theatrical and a brilliant performance artist.

I think it is a bit perplexing to anyone that has only watched him performing on stage. But it is widely known, and he is imencely loved for being both this massively, self confident crowd gasping persona ande at the same time being this shy, goofy, playfull And childlike man. And seriously, him being exacly lkke this is one of the reasons I adore him so incredibly much. He is like no one else. The person on stage is one of his true selves, when he is his element, music, he shines like the brightes star, almost the center of the universe, in a good way. But this can also be seen like this when he talks about music or being a judge on music programs, at that time he is straight forward, confident and full of authority. At his own concerts, Mars concerts, he is like that. But talking about other stuff, being in the center for his own part, and not his music, well thats anothet story. But at the same time, he is extraordinarely good at using that goofiness as it suts. He is so facinating it hurts. You should watch and intetview of him, it would be great og you reacted to one. Ut is very informative and facinating This one is 14min long, the disapproved idol m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4VYiRDYNLmA.html

I love Ace vs Ace! Yes, the real Hua Hua is such a contrast. However, that's rather typical for performers/actors/singers. It's on stage where they really shine. As themselves, I've seen top actors unable to carry a conversation. To me, Hua Hua is so introspective. I call him his own monk of a very deep, on point philosophy...the Philosophy of Hua Chenyu.

Hello again! That was fun! Yes it’s dumbfounding how HuaHua is so comfortable and at home on stage, a stage beast actually with very clear ideas of the aesthetics he wants to show for each song, very courageous and uncompromising too and the shy, awkward, fun and very cute person he is in life. The manager of Ace really was adamant he wanted HuaHua in his show whereas he was very hesitant to accept but the manager and team went out of their ways to make him feel at ease and open up, above all to make him talk because he didn’t talk much in the beginning. This show did him a lot of good, Hua has been rejected a lot for his innovative music, and in this show, he realized that all the professional artists invited actually like him. He himself admitted at the end of S5 that he felt more open and comfortable talking with the guests. About Great Sage, HuaHua was challenged to actually make a song out of a meme of a few seconds from an anime of the 90’s, that’s why there’s this tududu at the beginning for instance. Then the producers of an anime movie asked him to compose the theme song, so he completely re-wrote a song to fit the movie, that’s Qi Tian. There are 6 Ace episodes from S4 2019 with subs on huachenyu.news You’ll see how even shyer he was then. What’s your favorite game? Mine is the rotten umbrella game, cracks me up...

I rarely comment on a reaction video; but I wanted to say how much I appreciate your sincere and honest reactions. In one of your reaction videos, you had asked for interviews or articles regarding Hua Hua’s bout of depression. Funny that you just watched Ace Vs Ace (which is a hilarious show). It is on this show that it was revealed how the song “I Really Want to Love This World” came about. In the midst of Hua’s depression, he was on his balcony, and he wanted to jump. Hua Hua did not tell the story; but it was told by his good friend, whom he considers “family”. When Hua Hua first started in Ace vs Ace in 2019, the Ace Team and its crew became a family for him. This show gave him a safe, loving environment to help him grow and overcome what he had been going through. He has since been in the 2020 series and has already started filming for 2021. The following is the link to the Full Episode 11, S5, 2020. But if you just want to hear the story, the segment on Hua Hua starts around 1:20:51, and a duet sung by Hua Hua and friend at 1:36:12. Thankful that 2020 has been a good year for him and that he is in a really good place in his life, happy and healthy. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LLBkDs2QBGY.html

When he was on The Next (this show), he was in his musical element with other established artists, plus he had formed a bond with Fei Yu-Ching, another artist on the show with him, and he was pretty comfortable. When he first started on Ace vs Ace he wasn't quite as secure with his role, but as time went on and he got closer to his fellow stars on the show, he really grew into it. If you watch the most recent season, you can see the change.

Laughing long and hard at you watching ACE and Hua Chenyus 148 personalities 🤣😂😂🤣. Been there done that. It is so fascinating. But dont forget he is silly and playful and a brilliant actor at the same time. Theres also a script involved here 😊 not to mention rehearsals. If you watch earlier variety shows theres nothing of the the extreme shyness on stage he suddenly portrays in Ace vs Ace. On the other hand he does NOT like talking in any context, but has become so much more confident over the years. The show is really fun though.

Maybe you should watch his 2013 audition, or 2011 singing. And interviews, or really get into his personality. Watch Cancer in his concerts. Listen to the interview before Fake Monk. He is someone who has been through the dark night of his soul. That gives a person a fluid, chameleon ability to fit the moment, but still have a childlike truth flowing around them. He's not so attached to expectations. Why are you so attached to him being a certain way?
@margheritahooi1266

Yes, I think she now realizes not to attach herself to one version/idea of a person. The initial shock and surprise are understandable, but then the joy takes over. Importantly, Hua Hua models living life fully, accepting challenges, choosing to grow, not putting himself into a definable box. His rivetting stage personae constantly intrigue and delight us; no less, his "real self" charms and trusts us as we share his journey. Regarding Ace Vs Ace, it always relieves me to see how happy he is, and how the show's "family" looks after him.

@erinorganic2597 3 года назад
Hello! I love your reactions 💗 *(Note: various links to things I mention at end of post)* But please let me first clear up some confusion about the songs. This song was written on the show “The Next” before he wrote Qi Tien, but Qi Tien is not a rewrite of this song. For this song you are reacting to, He was given the beginning theme of a show called “Journey into the West” about the story of WuKong, the Monkey King. It has no lyrics, just some ‘90s sounding synthesizer notes with “pew pew pew” sounds. (You hear the orig theme before he starts rapping) So in under 24 hours he wrote this whole song, worked out the rap, composed the new melodies, etc. All of it. He usually doesn’t write all of his lyrics, but he has them written to his specifications, and gives feedback on every section and every draft until a song communicates exactly what he wants it to. So, in effect, he writes the lyrics too, just mostly by proxy. The rap lyrics to this song ( and to Qi Tien) are DENSE. So besides writing an entire song based on a simple, like, 8-note melody in one night, he had to remember his newly written (and dense with info) lyrics well enough to give a good performance. He was wrecked when he was given the original theme to re-write. He was sure that he couldn’t make it into anything. He made them bring him a stuffed animal monkey and wandered around for hours trying to figure out what he was going to do, then he locked himself in a room and created what you just watched. He was smiling after his performance because he was happy and relieved that it all worked. His later song “Qi Tien/Equal to Heaven” isn’t a remake of this song, but it is related. Both because it is about the same story and also because sometime after this episode of “The Next” aired, he was approached to write the theme song for the (then upcoming)WuKong movie. After he watched the movie footage they sent him, he said the WuKong of the movie was much different than how he was played in the show. He’s a much more tragic figure in the movie, so Hua Hua wrote the achingly beautiful verses as the movie WuKong when he is trapped away from all he knows, lonely and unable to understand why he is made to suffer. The rap part in Qi Tien has very similar passages to the one in this song because the rap parts in both songs are when a very pissed off WuKong basically lays waste to heaven. So again, related, but “Equal to Heaven” isn’t a remake of this song “The Great Sage Equal to Heaven” He is completely adorable in Ace vs Ace, isn’t he? That is def part of who he is. Watch some of The Next episodes. All of season one has full episodes that are eng subtitled, and episode...8, of season 2 has a full ep subtitled because that is the episode that Hua Hua does “ Dad, I’m home”, and that performance is so profound, someone saw fit to subtitle it, despite being distracted away from the rest of season 2. (Which sucks, cuz it’s a great show) In The Next, You will see him both a little goofy and adorable, plus you’ll be seeing him speaking to the contestants after performances ( as well as eventually working with a few). He so often says very smart and practical things to the contestants that the other mentors very quickly start to watch and listen to what he’s saying when he addresses the contestants. There is also an interview I will find and include the link to here. It will help you get your head around the different sides of Hua Hua’s personality. He addresses the different parts of his personality, as well as the labeling people do to try to explain him. The interview also shows that his stage magnetism doesn’t disappear when he’s off stage, it mellows into a different sort of personal magnetism that still captures you. It’s fairly short, about 8 mins, and interestingly early. From 2014, just a year after his debut on “Super Boy” (The competition that first put him in the public eye) Plus, if you want to react to this interview (or others) rather than just watch it, Reactions to interviews never seem to get copyright struck, and very few reactors post reactions to interviews. I’m remembering you mentioned you’d rather react to more obscure things. ) The interview is posted on the Hua Chenyu English Subs channel. You should go check them out. They have a lot of interviews organized by year, his concerts by year, They have the first season of the Next, full episodes subtitled there, nearly all of the performance cuts from Super Boy 2013, and a bunch of other shows he was on including a very interesting travel show. They don’t have Ace vs Ace, but You can find on RU-vid all of the eps of Season 5 english subtitled...Hua Hua started as a host in season 4. ( I can’t find 4 subtitled though, dammit) I don’t know how many eps you have seen, but in most episodes they have more serious moments even if he is adorable and goofy earlier in the show. Season 5 (2020) Ep 11, the last part of the show has them hanging out in pajamas. The theme of the show is “Friendship” and they all have a friend there. Hua Hua’s friend starts talking about a time, fairly recently, where he admitted to her that he had considered ending his life by jumping off of his balcony. The cast is shocked into silence, and horrified, because they were used to seeing the sweet, adorable Hua Hua, the professional Hua Hua, the rockstar Hua Hua, and as close as they had all gotten, not one of them had imagined he could suffer such depression and sadness, especially secretly. There is an immediate urgency and concern in their expressions and they are pretty quick to both let him know that he never needs to suffer alone, that any of them are there for him, but also to lighten the atmosphere, because Hua Hua was silent and emotional throughout the story and they wanted him to become comfortable again. Episode 7 of Ace vs Ace, season 5... the music related episode, (which is a great ep btw,) at one point they bring his old friends from his college rock band into a video conference and they do a song together. At one point, one of the guys in the band asks Hua Hua if Hua Hua remembers telling him that he didn’t eat for long periods of time ( like days for Chrissakes) to “keep fit” and tells him straight out. “Listen to me. Don’t do that anymore...” and continues by telling him he will always be there for him. The expressions on Hua Hua’s face during all this are telling. They do some serious shit on that little variety show, man. And Hua Hua, he has the side of him that is childlike and playful which is part of his charm, but underlying all of the facets of his personality: dark, light, and “adorable anime character” there is an incredibly deep well of strength. Sometimes he uses that strength against himself, like when he decides he needs to lose weight and with sheer power of his Will doesn’t eat for days at a time. ( That is made even more horrible by knowing he has never actually been overweight. Ever.) And sometimes he uses that strength to summon the courage to let someone know that he is suffering. Or he uses that strength to convey to the world in every way that he can, that if everyone just decided to do things with, first and foremost, the intention of kindness, that humanity might just be saved from itself. Watch more of Hua Hua interacting on The Next and Ace vs Ace and in interviews, and yer brain will resolve its continuity-with-HuaHua issues. Oh! And watch his subtitled concerts. He is completely comfortable with his fans and has long conversations with them. And both sides also tease each other and give each other shit. You see him being goofy, but also very much a grown-up, because these thousands of people all jacked up on concert energy? They give him shit, but Jesus Christ they MIND HIM. Like immediately. He is always in charge of the entire stadium. Even when he laughing. Even when he is crying. We are grown-ass adults watching from home and WE want to mind him. Srsly. His magnetism and force of Will are impossible to resist. Watching all these different ways of getting to know who Hua Hua is as a person, really will integrate him into a whole, balanced being in yer brain. Promise. Oh and look for the eps of Ace vs Ace that have physical challenges. Some are in season 4, some are in 5. He is naturally athletic, strong, and graceful and learns physical things incredibly quickly so he totally dominates physical challenges. Even when he is feeling awkward and being adorable or shy because of it, he’s still as agile and physically confident as a cat. Seeing that will help integrate his “adorable anime creature” aspect with his “rockstar” aspect. *Interview 2014 “An elderly Child in the Entertainment Industry* ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-N3WXCegxxGc.html *Ace vs Ace Season 5, ep 7 (music ep)* ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tKoEGaBvFU0.html *Ace vs Ace S. 5, ep 11 (Friendship ep)* ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LLBkDs2QBGY.html *Here is a GREAT 9 minute interview about the show “The Next” and composing* ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TsjjEPwBTLE.html

This song “qi tian da sheng “ was based on the BGM from a Chinese tv show In the 80s about the monkey king, this BGM has no lyrics only music, huahua had to re write in 24 hours and become his own song.

This is not another version of the song u reacted "Qi Tian- equal to heaven". This is the first song he did(rearranged) for the Wukong topic(Great sage-equal to heaven) if i am not wrong, after that he was invited to compose 'Qi tian- equal to heaven' for a movie about Wukong(Monkey King)!

Nice reaction! Since you're learning more about Hua Hua and you like surprises... how about checking out "Big Surprise"??? The video title kinda spoils it a tad, but this is a fun watch. Link and info below. "Big Surprise" - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fz7SsQeRrJ4.html I think it tends to be blocked, but you should definitely find a workaround (clever editing/posting your vid elsewhere) or watch it on your own. lol keep it up! Enjoying your reactions!
