Your video makes me appreciate a lot more how good we have it in Thailand, the smiling faces, how easy going everything is, its just the best, both for riding and living and the people and society in general, i am visiting family in Europe now, just a few weeks is more than enough😂
Good video with lots of helpful information, get up to Chang Mai and ride the Mai Hong Son loop great fun 1864 S bends and curves, ride it over six days then you have loads of time for stopping and seeing the sights.
Nice video bud, excellent and helpfull info there, well explained, i live in Hua Hin too and we're planning to make the same trip, very helpfull video👍👍
It was surprisingly easy overall and a really nice ride. I went ott on getting copies of everything just in case but didn't need that much. The border officials were pretty helpful too. Thanks for watching 👍🏽
Do you have any experience or have heard of anyone else going through Khlong yai border ? We are going to cambodia and then onto Laos in a few weeks on our own bikes (250cc). Watching your vid has pit our minds at ease a fair bit. Cheers
@@kevinholden2067 I haven't been to Klong Yai myself but I read a post on a Thai motorcycle facebook group of someone doing a road trip through there and there was no mention of any issues. The only thing that you need is the green book, copies of the page which shows your name and the page which shows that the taxes have been paid then copies of your passport, visa page etc and I got my greenbook translated to English at the DLT office a week before leaving too (Wasn't asked for this but some people say that they have been asked for it). I think if you have copies of everything and you are patient, you'll be fine. Do the customs forms before going too.... I can only find them if I view the Khmer Customs website on my phone, scroll down to "Temporary vehicle" click that and you'll find what is needed. Good luck and thanks for watching!
Great video, great info! Driving my 300 Kawasaki from Chiang Mai to Siem Reap in about 7 days. Could u please give me info on finding the Cambodian website where I register my motorcycle please. The one you said would have been so much easier if u had done it before you left. Thanx!
@@NinjaToddAdventures Good luck with it, that should be an awesome journey! The website is customs.gov.kh/en then scroll down and on the right, it says e services and "Temporary vehicle", that's the bit that you want. You create a profile then get all of the forms that you need on there. If that link doesn't work, search Google for Cambodia customs but look for that actual website URL because there are others similar that aren't the official one.. Thanks for watching 👍🏽
@@pg.travels Thank u PG! Have you traveled from Chiang Mai to Chong Chom? I ask because Google maps shows three ways to go. I've done from Bangkok the Hy. 1 to Lampoon. Hy 21/11 looks to be the fastest.......but......Hy.11 out of Chiang Mai through Lampang then splits to Hy. 1143 to Hy. 12 to Hy. 201 and then down to Chong Cham looks like more fun, less traveled.....but less places to stay. I'm 62 and in good shape. I'm taking my time and probably gonna 5-6 hours a day. My only concern are places to stay as I will not have camping equipment. Any thoughts? Thanx, Todd
@@NinjaToddAdventures I haven't done that journey on a bike so wouldn't know. For me, I don't really plan ahead in Thailand for accommodation etc in case I feel that I want to stop or maybe want to go further. I just search Google maps for a hotel nearby whenever I am ready to stop and other than seriously rural areas, there is always something. I wouldn't risk that in other countries but you should be fine along most of that route on any of the roads really. Good luck!!
