Even when the focus is on accuracy It's difficult to recommend fitbit sense and apple watch as alternatives when the former is 5x the price and the latter is 7x to 14x the price depending on the model.
My Fitbit Versa 2 counts about double the steps of my Huawei Band 6 - even set to dominant and worn on my non-dominant wrist, it counts so many are movements!
I'm still mesmerized by the fact that you reviewed wearables sooooo thoroughly especially the accuracy tests, and all done scientifically so as a viewer, I see the review objectively. Keep it up and I'd love to see this type of review for more wearables available massively on market now like Amazfit maybe😅
Well. You can't expect a 59bucks gadget that you wear on your wrist to be as accurate at measuring your body conditions as medical and scientific devices but consider that the Band 6 has an overall accuracy of 90 to 95% seems rather impressive to me.
I know these devices aren't perfect, but I think they're definitely provide enough information to be useful. I mean, you don't need to know _exactly_ how much light and deep sleep you get every night, and the overall picture you get of your sleep patterns over time is probably more useful. It's a bit like the weather forecast, you know it's not always going to be right, but that doesn't mean it's not beneficial. With my GT 2e, for example, most of the time it tells me that my deep sleep continuity is low, and even if the device wasn't the most accurate it's unlikely to be wrong about the same thing every single night.
@The Quantified Scientist ,Firstly kudos on this excellent review ,you really bring a lot of sense to the decision making process for any consumer in this growing wearables market. Your review of band 6 is an year old now and mostly probably based on old sw versions , can you check its HR abilities with the latest sw , would really appreciate it. I think even in your consolidated review of all watches which by the way was amazing , also uses old stats. I know its time consuming and probably too cumbersome to revisit the same watch but I guess if you dont find much variance within a small sample of old watches(take the older ones ofcourse and include band6) then probably it wont make any sense to revisit all old watches.
Your review me convinced to order this smart band, seems accurate enough to monitor oxygen, heart rate and step count for elderly to keep a watch on their health and keep them active.
These kinda things should be provided to viewers, not just reading the specs from boxes. Great Review Bro .Keep working subscribers is just a no u will definitely get that that's for sure.❤
Awesome review bro.nowadays other youtube channels only review device's outlook & spec, not testing it at all like you.pls review the new just release garmin venu 2/2S. Many thanks!
Nice video but it could have been interesting to compare the results you got with the ones from the Honor Band 6 that you reviewed lately since these share almost identical hardware and software.
I've had a problem with it while tracking sleep, it would have never detected awaken times, but after a reset and app reinstall, it worked better. I can't tell if the sleep cycles tracking has improved, but the awake time improved a lot
Hi Rob! First of all, I'd like to thank you for taking the smartwatches amd fitness bands review to tje next level on RU-vid. You truly reinvented the game and sat the bar too high! As am engineer myself, I totally appreciate the data analysis you're doing and I love the attention to detail you have. Secondly, I am on the verge of buying a fitness band and I'm torn between the Huawei and Honor band 6. I watched your 2 videos but still can't decide lol. Do you think the Huawei worth the extra cash or basically they are the same and use the same sensors and algorithm specially when it comes to heart rate and sleep monitoring (these are my main usage)
Pls do a comparasion between huawei band 6, huawei watch fit, honor band 6 and galaxy watch 3 or other mainstreem "flagship" device. All of this 3 "buget watches" look similar in therms of results and have a very good price-value. Keep it up. Your videos are amazing
Looking at the range of data you have collected, I can tell ur doing your best to make the video to the best quality as possible. You deserve more subscribers ♥️
Thanks to your review and a good bargain (30€) I bought this band a month ago (end March 2022) only for heart rate, SPO2 and steps. For now I am happy with it. Forgot to mention that unfortunately the messages don't come from my iPhone Xs. UPDATE : I bought my Band 6 in March 2022 and it was okay and working well until until July 2024 when it started to have the screen frozen that came back operational after a reboot of the band but then when completely frozen a week later fortunately the sensors were still doing their job. But then the battery started to die after a day and sometimes even needed 2 charges a day. I don't know if all these problems came after not taking off the band except for the charge every 2 weeks or so since I have it, meaning showering every day, swimming at the beach during summer maybe pushing the button under water, but there is a weird white bezel around the screen, not visible when on. So I guess this is the end for this band. 😞 I guess I will have to upgrade to the Band 8 as you cannot find former generations or twice the price as the new generation.
Congratulations on your amazing tests, they were very informative. If I can give a tip, in my opinion I would like to split the scatter plot based on weightlifting/non-weightlifting. As we can't realistically expect the heartrate to be tracked accurately from the wrist (yet) and this is making it hard to differentiate between what products are bad at tracking and which one's do a relatively okay job.
For me it detected twice that I woke up, perfectly. One time I was watching a film and for some reason it detected it as a nap. Deep sleep I'm assuming it detects well since I don't have it, But I also don't have any device to see if that's correct. It does detects well when I fall asleep and wen I wake up. Youfirmly I mainly bought it for the heart rate detection.
Maybe the reason for the sharp accuracy difference in heart rate between sessions is the slight differences that the band is on the wrist. If it is a bit lose the bend shakes more on the wrist. If it is a bit too tight the blood gets restricted in that area.
Thank you for doing such an in-depth review on the Band6. I have Long Covid and am interested in getting a low-cost band primarily to track my oxygen saturation and heart rate (also will be keeping an eye on steps (although I can’t do many of those!) and sleep). This looks like a pretty good tracker for my needs. Thank you!
Amazing review! This is the best channel on RU-vid for smartwatches/fitness trackers` in-depth reviews! I have seen your review on more expensive watches like Apple watch / Samsung watches it was very interesting. I'm an Android user, and I see that the Apple Watch is superior to everything you reviewed so far. Would be interesting to see how a watch with Google Wear OS would handle your tests, as an example "TicWatch Pro 3 GPS"/"TicWatch E3" The new hope for an android user )))
Everybody complains about the stepcounter from the Huawei Health App. De wearable counts the steps properly but the Huawei Health App count above also steps when driving a bike. On some days the differences is huge. Pay attention to this problem. Many consumers are disappointed.
This video is the best. Thank you! Very knowledgable and its very interesting to see how u actually collected all thE data. Very satisfying. Now i know what to expect on my huawei band 6!
Would be interesting to see a comparison between all the Huawei/Honor watches of this generation. I have an Honor Band 5, which uses the older "TruSeen 3.0" sensor/algorithm combo vs. the new "TruSeen 4.0" on the Watch FIT, and both the Band 6s from Honor/Huawei. My band 5 really struggles when doing push ups or any arm exercises where flexing is prominent as you've mentioned.
Just a thought, I am using the Honor Band 5 with great success. When trying to take my Spo2 + heart rate I got a message saying that the band was not tight enough for an accurate measurement, even tightening it was ineffective, then I saw that I had a lot of hair on my left wrist. After shaving it off, never saw this message again, even when I was wearing it at regular tightness, to me a factor that affects the measurement.
Please test the amazfit gts 2 mini. IT'S VERY POPULAR AND CHEAP. other channels say it's pretty accurate. So it's interesting to see how it does in your amazing testing style. Thnx
Wow! Amazing video.. Hats off to your patience to test things again and again. Please make a video on most accurate fitness tracker and smart watch. Thank you!
I'm currently infected with Covid-19 and I'm i really need to track my spo2. There's a lot of cheap oximeter, 10-15 bucks and then i bought this instead. The all-day spo2 tracking is definitely helping me to track if maybe my spo2 are decreasing. What a confusing and awesome content!
For sleep: Charge 4, Inspire 2, For heart rate: Huawei watch FIT, Charge 4, Inspire 2, Band 6. SpO2 all are pretty accurate, to be honest it's not that important, believe me, there's always deviation from oximeter. For step counting, all of them do well. For best accuracy of everything, go for Fitbit Charge 4. For budget - if you want bigger and always-on display, then watch fit, if you want band which is even cheaper, then band 6.
@@fuadmonsoon Missed it somehow. Looking at the tests it is actually similar, huawei watch just has less measurements and thus different style of dots cloud. Hard to compare is is.
@@fuadmonsoon im about to buy a fitness watch on a cheap budget that have long battery life and good accuracy. I narrow it down to galaxy fit 2, huawei band 6, honor band 6 and xiaomi band 6. Can you recommend me which one should I choose?
Wow! Thanks so much that you print my message on video. Great test! I also noticed poor sleep monitoring on Huawei Band 6. Maybe a software fix will be done. Steps, cardiac monitoring and Sp02 are good.
Wonderful that's the revie I was waiting for, I do need to keep track of my SPO2 because I'm suffering of a Pleural Cancer which fills my affected lung with liquid and giving me problems with the blood oxigen saturation, so I'm asking you if to keep an average track (I know I better use the professional one but also I'd like to keep track on the go with a band) I better use This Huawei band 6 or the Xiaomi mi band 6.... I wait for your reply, THANK YOU SO MUCH AND CONGRATULATIONS FOR YOUR AMAZING CHANNEL
Hi Rob, can you please suggest me which one I should buy MI band 6 or honor band 6 or huwaie band 6? Which is best one. Please advise me. Awaiting your prompt response please
Have you ever thought about testing the Huawei Band 6 pro? they do more marketing on the temperature sensor, as well as the more advanced sleep monitoring that even measures sleep apnea.
Awesome review thanks for the hard work, what's the best watch you've tested for heart rate monitoring and heart rate zones *OTHER THAN THE APPLE WATCH* ???
Really nice content! Like the scientific approach of testing devices. BTW are HUAWEI band 6 have similar results as honor band 6? In principle they should give the same results. Just for you to think about: what do you think of testing 2 same devices simultaneously? To see if the devices are consistent with each other. P.s. thanks for the content! Wish you chanel to grow
Thanks for the analysis. For the price of Huawei 6 it's really good buy for spO2 and heart rate and step count. Not too concern for sleep test as long as it detects sleep time well enough. I've decide too buy
Hi thanks for the smart watch review which very much helpful to me for a long year ive suffering hbp and i found out if my postassium is low and cause of my early moneopusal but now a days for few weeks my HP keep attacking me with a little bit heart ache ..i starter walking and i want to have smart watch for me to check my condition im glad theres a video review like you have a scientific way. keep it up doing.
Thank you for the wonderful video. Very useful for me to decide on this model with easily priced product. I have been using Fitbit charge 2 For last 4+ years. Served very well. Can you please add more details about HRV, sleeping HR, Breathing HR and VO2 max in cardio fitness reports please? Thank you so much once again for your awesome efforts and beautiful so many test reports.. 👌👏
hello friend,I really can't find anyone do such analysis as simple and clear as you.. but i was wondering if you take in consideration the chance of being faulty the device you are testing.. may using another device can give a different or more accurate result???
Not looking for any smart watch because your videos made me decide on getting Apple Watch. But hopping on to watch your videos and support you and appreciate your amazing videos as always! ❤️
