apple is soo bad older huawei beat the newer apple/ i have seen more real test and huawei destroy apple ez and apple watcg broke in water my teacher had one hahaha apple.
Rob, I had initially been waiting for your thorough review of the Band 9. But, like you I assumed that it would be at least as good as the Band 8. So yesterday, knowing that your detailed review would take at least a couple of weeks to come out, I placed my order. Thank you for rushing a preliminary review out. You have saved countless others from making the same mistake that I did! I can only hope that Huawei make some firmware changes and improve the heart rate tracking. It'll be interesting to see if Huawei's claim of improvements to sleep tracking performance checks out. Keep up the good work, your reviews are nothing short of spectacular.
I saw your video about the Huawei band 8 and was ready to order the band 9 this week because the price is stunning €49 with promo code. Thank god that i waited...but really what's happening, i thought that at least performance/accuracy should be equivalent. I bet this is software related but either way, gonna wait a couple of months now to see the improvements and hope you further test it. Good work!
they are abusing dumb customers. who always buy the never model regardless if it is better or not becouse they dont realy care about the accuracy. Just look at the Reviews from so called "tech" youtubers who never not even closely talk about the technical sides of the devises and just talk about the outside stuff and software features.
@@fluffypuffyboy586 That's true. This is the only RU-vid channel I know of that deals technically with these devices. Which is absurd, after all, all these smart bands have the primary function of being a good health monitor, not a computer or smartphone.
It's a shame. I bought it on launch with an early bird discount. I haven't tested its heart rate tracking during sports but for daily use, it does serve its' purpose. Hopefully Huawei sees your video and updates its firmware to become more accurate... goodness gracious me. Edit: Having it for about 10 days now as of this reply. This is my first health tracker band and first Huawei band. Battery life is very good, and I hardly ever feel it on my wrist. I'm actually more motivated and strive to exercise more. I don't miss my Garmin Fenix 6s pro at all! I have to say, despite its' inaccuracy in heart rate monitoring, the band functions as it should, which is to motivate me to exercise. I consider it a win, although I do hope that firmware can still be sorted out to get the best value for money regardless.
Huawei needs to explain it's self as I bought this one because of its improvement as stated but eventually not, I did compare it with the Huawei Band 8 and also wore both devices and compare them to a pulse oximeter and Huawei Band 9 had struggles on detecting my heart rate compared to the Huawei Band 8... but I hope updates will fix this issue..
apple is soo bad older huawei beat the newer apple/ i have seen more real test and huawei destroy apple ez and apple watch broke in water my teacher had one hahaha apple/ and i never had a issue with my huawei watch.
It would also be great if you will add The Pulse Wave Arythmia Analysis feature on your review. Also Huawei needs to see this video so they can addressed this issues. 😊
Just wanted to ask, when can we expect the complete review of the Huawei Band 9? Waiting for your input to decide if i buy it or not. Thank you for your work, it is much apreciated! 😁😁
I'm also looking forward to this. He said in another post que he is having trouble accessing the data... for me, this is starting to get a bit suspicious... would this first review be wrong? It's been THREE weeks since the first review, and so far, nothing! In case the first review is wrong, this is in fact a bit irresponsible to let us not know the truth... in any case, the more delay, the more conspiracy theories comes up to our minds...
I had Huawei watch fit 2 and i find out it's really good in measures hart rate. Then i find your channel and i was happy that you confirmed it's quality. So now i order watch fit 3 because i thought it can't be worth than fit 2. But now i see i might be wrong 😔 i hope software update may improve it
I want to buy fit 2 when I have heard the fit 3 is coming out and now I am sure maybe fit 2 is better than fit 3. I hope Rob will help to make a right choice. Thanks
@@mahamoudtraore2339 i was really impressed with fit 2. I know how all this bands, especially Xiaomi complete crap but ppl don't knowing for what they need all that sensors watch all that crap reviews about how it looks and no single word about how precise it measures heart rate. I had fit 1 and it's piece of shit. It worth noting. But i bought fit 2 for my wife and decided to try it. I was like wow! It's the same as built in measurements on cycling machine and ticker x. And from my perspective if it drops in price it's must have. It's really good. It's smaller, so for tracker it's +. And it last longer. Fit 3 looks better as watch. But it's bigger and who knows... It may be worse like band 9 to band 8
Rob, imagine it's a firmware issue, and that Huawei also make the Band 8 worse with last updates like someone else said ?! It could be interesting to test the Band 8 again...
Thank you for saving me from buying this band, i was about to buy it when i read it has the same Trueseen 5.5 optical heart rate sensor as the GT4. Keep up the great work.
Can you post the firmware version you made those tests? The Band 9 I got as gift arrived, and first thing it did was update the firmware. Maybe it got better, or they are still working on it to be on the same level as the Band 8?
Hi! Would you like to test the new Huawei Watch Fit 3? I am about to get a new smartwatch for sports, espacially for HR monitoring and compatibility with apps like Strava, Adidas, Nike Run etc. Waiting for your scientific review. Thanks!
I was planning on buying this to update/upgrade my band 6 and I’m so shocked. Hopefully HUAWEI will or maybe has already updated the device to improve performance. Looking forward to any update on testing that you might have!
Please do a review of the new Huawei Watch Fit 3. I discovered the Huawei Watch Fit 2 through your channel in 2022, and this week Huawei released version 3.
It is clearly visible that they have moved their bracelet into the middle, budget segment. Therefore, they will not improve anything, and they will also make Band 8 worse
@sferaefdeer3465 maybe you're rigth. The band 8 lately is not performing good on me. Sometime it remains in a static hearth rate when I'm clearly in another.
I bought it yesterday after 3 years of using honor band 5 and chose Huawei band 9 rather than 8. I am just using it for daily driver and have no complaints at all. Great review tho!
I bought it just for sleep and steps So for other activity, I dont bother at all I am satisfied with it. Would be great if we can check other stats other than activities like spinning cycling etc
@@Gugle-vl2wr It gives you more informations, for example how often you breathe during sleep, your blood oxygen, your sleep latency and so on. Band 8 doesn't do that.
@@ralfrufus6573 Thanks for the reply. Those sound like software features that could theoretically be added to band 8 too via an update, but who knows. Huawei would probably choose to keep the band 8 gimped to upsell 9/
@@marifbudiman3564 I've only ever seen Apple watch 9 do it, though admittedly I haven't used that many watches till date. Besides, if the sleep stage tracking of a watch is poor, it wouldn't be able to reliably wake you up fresh anyway.
Hi Rob , by the time you publish this video I already bought 2 of them. Too bad that band 9 is not better than band 8. I assumed band 9 would be better as band 8 is better than band 7. So when all the RU-vid influencers made preview about band 9 before it was launched, I was quite convinced and immediately made order online the launching day. Appreciate your review though, a lot. Keep making these videos.
Cannot wait a video on the just released Watch Fit 3. Curious about the health tracking capabilities. Currently using a band 8 and i was not that surprised that band 9 is not adding something new, let alone performing poorly. Hopefully its not the same case for the Watch Fit 3
bought this thinking it would be better than band 8. i have high hopes with its new sensors, yikes. might as well wait for an update for Huawei to fix this with a firmware update, hopefully. thank u so much for your effort in making this video!
Could you make a video about blood pressure measurements? Methods, algorithms and so on. Lots of brands claim, that they have this function onboard, but in practice it is absent, or it works inproperly etc.
Dude I literally just bought it because I ASSUMED it will be at least as good as the 8. Well, lesson learned. Hopefully they can improve it by updating the software.
Thank you very much ! I was waiting for your review to buy this Smartband (or not). Now I am thinking about buying a Band 8 , I am just wondering if the one of Huawei or Xiaomi. As a matter of fact, I am interested on the SpO2 measurements.
На видео только вовремя упражнения на брусьях у него на руке было двое часов/браслетов. Если бы они пережимали сосуды до такой степени что пульсации бы не было, у него рука бы онемела
I'm just getting into your channel. I love the style! I've seen several of your videos. Do you have a website that has all the graphs you show? Heartrate for each of the exercises, sleep tracking, GPS, sleep, etc? It would be awesome to be able to see those all in one place
Well this is bad. I was ready to order the band "Nein". But it doesn’t look like it’s worth it. Hopefully it’s just a software glitch and they fix it by the full review and it can redeem its title.
Thank you so much for posting! I am literally trying to find an affordable watch and was about to buy this Huawei. I looked through your page for a Band 9 review just last week. 😂 I am going for the 8 now!
I got two Band 9 - one is a gift - a day or two before you released the video. I'm almost cancelling my order and get a Galaxy Watch6 instead. But I think I'm gonna give it a go. Hopefully they'll update and improve the firmware by the end of June - when my Band9 gets delivered. And I might wait for a sale to get the Galaxy Watch6, specially with the 7 about to be release, so the price will get lower. Anyway, amazing testing, you got a new subscriber, and waiting for the full review: still curious about the sleep tracking results.
Veen waiting a month for the full review😅 Hopefully it's in the works, Was gonna go woth the 8 but I kinda feel the performance on this should become better, this just doesn't make sense And now I'm also waiting for the watch fit 3 review😅
Thanks for the great review, as usual! Could you test the OnePlus Watch 2? Seems like a great smartwatch with its hybrid OS but I would like to know about its tracking capabilities. 😊 If you reading also would like him to test the watch, gives this comment a like so maybe he will see it :)
@@c43go yeah, maybe there is not a proper calibration in factory. This results are interesting and shall be done with at least 3 different item of the same version I suppose. If not more
everyone's result may vary, you shouldn't take his own experiences and results as absolute benchmark, more like as reference. Always take other's opinion with a grain of salt. I wouldn't say his review is bad but people are overly obsess with his numbers so yeah...
