*Best review channel for artists, bar none* 😌👍🏾 After watching your videos, I never have questions about use cases and you even answer questions I never thought to ask (e.g. size of the port hole on the keyboard case for 3rd party accessories)! Thank you so much for all the hard work put into your reviews☺️
Thanks for doing all these drawing tablet reviews. It is really helpful for us considering which one to buy. Looking forward for you to review Huawei MatePad 11.5 that has a less powerful processor. The 3:2 aspect ratio is really appealing to me.
I like the 3:2 aspect ratio which is more usable in both landscape and portrait orientation. The overall performance and feel is gonna be quite similar to this tablet. If you like 3:2 aspect ratio, the other tablet to consider is OnePlus Pad which has official Google Play Store so there will be no issues with payment for apps and restoring purchases. Downside is OxygenOS. I have reviewed that too www.parkablogs.com/content/artist-review-oneplus-pad-stylo
Thank you for your great review. I buy in these days the 2021 version that i consider more complete. The 2023 version lost a lot of things: -Sd card slot -wifi 6 - usb support 2.0 (previous 3.0) -2 microphone (previous 4) I waited the review of mi pad 6 and its pen , but with sale and promotion i got the 2021 version with a great price and with pen 2nd gen
Thanks so much for the informative review! At around 19:58, you demonstrated how an app may not have full functionality (i.e. beyond the free features) on HarmonyOS. May I know if the Concepts app works unimpeded? I am considering to get a MatePad as gift for someone who uses a Huawei phone. On the other hand, I see that the MatePad Air is now available in Malaysia but not yet in Singapore. Hope to see a review on that product soon! :D
The basic version of Concepts will work but you probably cannot buy tools inside the app. I recommend you go with Xiaomi Pad 5 or Pad 6 instead with Xiaomi Smart Pen
I discovered the channel today, the best tablet and pencil reviews so far. I want to buy this tablet for study “Kanji” and note taking. I didn’t like the Samsung Tab S7 Fe’s pencil response and I don’t have that much money to spend for iPad, do you recommend this tablet
I actually prefer the Samsung pen. Note that pen response will vary depending on the app you use. Some apps will have faster response, some slower. But S7 FE tablet is 60Hz so there's a limit there. You should go with maybe 90-120Hz display if you have the budget. Matepad 11 has the same pen and tablet response with Samsung S7 FE if I remember correctly.
hi i'm using huawei mate pro 2020 version, i was able to install concepts app but i can't purchase any tools or update to pro.. do you have any technique on how should i do that?
good nonbias review. most reviewers dont really emphasize on the inconvenience not having GMS. been using my matepad pro 11 2021 versio for about 6 months. i regret buying it. should have bought non huawei android like xiaomi.
I no longer use matte screen protectors. But if you do use matte screen protector, you will get more tactile drawing experience. You can get the metal tip with matte screen protector and those will not wear out.
Download Gspace app from Huawei AppGallery first. Then use Gspace app to download Concepts. OR you can search for "concepts app apk" to download the APK file. Both methods will not let you buy brushes and stuff from the app
Good review) But i have a question for the experienced users. I have Xiaomi Pad 6 and i have options to buy Xiaomi Smart Pen 2 or graphic tablet Wacom Intuos S (to use with mi pad 6). In my country they are practically sold by the same price. I want to start my digital art journey, so i am a beginner, what would you recommend?
Go with the Xiaomi Smart Pen 2. There's no need to connect anything which is very convenient. Wacom Intuos S does not work with Android tablets anyway.
@@teohontech7141 thankyou. But i dont mind at all about gms stuff at all. Probably. Since it not my main device. some artis I know said harmony os 3 greater for drawing and overal stuff But you said otherwise. Then matepad 11 2021 its not half bad.
@@TheSimSimy The hardware is good. Drawing performance is good. But I feel HarmonyOS lacks features that Samsung has. If you're just drawing and don't use much of the features I mentioned in the video, then you should have no problem. There's Google Play Store too via Gspace so you will have access to all apps.
