A big thank you for that tutorial. It wasn't really hard. I had difficulties to get the battery out because it's really stuck in there but just take your time. If your screen is really out of work you can use a plectrum as a lever underneath the battery. To soften the glue i used a hairdryer and went to 47⁰ C. Worked perfectly :) Apply some tape on the broken glass so it doesn't explode in tiny pieces everywhere. Thank you again and keep up the good work :)
Replaced mine with help of this video. Was fairly easy honestly. The battery is difficult but if you are gentle but firm you can get it eventually. I used a clothes iron and a digital food thermometer with a dish towel in between to get approximately 80-90c and heat the glass to remove from the chassis worked great. Also remember to get glue I used a clear silicon all purpose and it is holding up well... So far haha. Also don't forget the speaker grille just above the camera! Good luck!
Nice Video, I was able to replace the touch screen by following the steps in this video, the hardest part was removing the battery, everything went well and my phone was working. Thanks for sharing this video. God bless you.
hello. my phone fell down and the pixels and glass is broken. will this method by replacing the screen fix the broken pixels? or will it fix only the cracked glass?
Hi! I broke the glass from my phone but the touchscreen is steel working an I want to change the LCD in the future (when the touchscreen won't work). From where do you buy the LCD ?
@@gavingriffiths6932 @Gavin Griffiths ok. its £40 on amazon for the screen only to do myself or £55 to fix at my local shop. guess I'll go with last option lol. thanks man
What glue or adhesive to use when fixing lcd screen. I can never find a good adhesive glue thats thin and strong for the lcd screen. Please somebody help me :D
On the video you have broken the battery which is very dangerous because over time the battery will expand in size and damage your phone! If anyone will want to repair the phone them self always change the battery or your phone in couple of months will die!
At least, he shared his knowledge, so the video was useful to those who could follow. whereas your comment cannot help anyone else if you don't actually say what to do instead. Unless that's your point- to gloat?
Comment is just misinformed, as long as you don't damage the battery there is no logical explanation for a reaction, you can remove and reuse as long as it's not bent.
On a different phone I tried to replace just the glass. I'm a pretty handy guy but it nearly impossible without destroying the digitizer. When you try to remove the broken shards the glass forms pressure points that break the digitizer. I'm super hard headed and figured if "others" could do it "so could I"... If you had the proper heating pads and everything you would probably take like 10 fails till you could do it right. I just bought the digitizer and I'm gonna try again looks much easier.
@@taoisttiger4702 hi can i ask something? my phone fell down and the glass with pixels are broken (the screen does react but i cant see anything because of the broken pixels) will this method by replacing the screen fix my problem?
