It's not that they're useless, but for most people (at least for me) who don't really play games on the phone, they don't really see the difference. The reason the Huawei is snappier is because it's UI is more optimized for that. In game performance the S10 would pull ahead because it straight up has better specs for that.

In that case the benchmark is useless cause the 2 phone are very close in the benchmark score, and ultimately a benchmark like antutu is a app like a other one running one app faster than a other phone doesn't mean that your phone will run the other app faster....

Speed tests matter on budget/mid range phones. Sometimes they give bad chipset just to cover the costs for other flashy features

S10+ has 4K60fps camera, Huawei don't 3040x1440 resolution, Huawei is only in 1080p Pixel density at 525ppi vs 398 Ultra sonic fingerprint and more features Jack port 8 to 12gb of ram, p30 pro stop at 8 128-256-512gb of extendable to 512gb microsd storage, p30 pro 128-256-512 non extendable Way better OS, that make you more efficient and productive I have a P20 Pro, a Samsung Galaxy S9 & S10+, my S9 satisfied me way more than my P20 Pro so I chose the S10+ I'd rather have something better in some many ways, that takes an extra eye blink to load things but in better than have slightly faster loadings, with my Samsung than going back with Huawei, both are great but I choose Samsung all the way.

@@AlexyTousignant 90% of the people wont use 2K and will record in FULLHD, go and watch some tests, scratch a little that pretty ultrasonic reader of yours, it wont work, while optical will, you can easly buy adapter for 15E and anyway, earphones through C port are better quality, it is verry much extandable by huaweis memory cards, i thinks its called micro memory card, next, how come that you didnt mention pretty 2x zoom of yours huh? 5x optical eats it, and 40mp RYYB sensor, try taking some pictures in the dark with yours :D and to me, emui is better so, and on a phone, you cannot possibly made use of evven 8gigs of ram...

Hamza. H Don't be salty just because the flagship from your favourite brand lost to the other phone in one area. Animation is a bit faster on EMUI but still noticeably smoother and faster than on One UI. Samsung never focused on UI performance whereas Huawei consistently put most of their efforts on it, and it clearly shows in this test. Give credit where it is due.

One UI looks for children and old people, people who are blind since Samsung stock icons are big out of the box, icons designed by children, people with small hands who want big phones. This is just stupid haha.

Animations won't fix the S10's sluggishness. The S10 responds very slow to the touch. You can tell by the big delays when opening apps or multi tasking. With the Huawei, it responds instantly just like the OnePlus 6T or the iPhone Xs.

@@haoranyu6810 A test is a test, he is testing performance, so they should be running the resolution to purely test performance, I bet you could smoke Usain Bolt in a 100m sprint if Usain had to also pull a car along. Also note that Samsung s10 has slower animations, if animations were disabled on both, it would also provide a lot more accurate test.

Waiting for something to open because it has a longer animation does not correlate to the actual performance of the device, which is what a speed test should TEST. The Samsung s10 can physically load many things faster than the p30, but because S10 has longer animations, it seems slower. Your argument needs to be more thought out, like I said in a previous example, if you were to race against Usain Bolt, you'd lose, but if you made him drag a car then you would win obviously, cause Usain bolt is physically restrained (In this case, the Samsung s10 is restraining by a heavier load such as the resolution), while the animation speed can be thought as you having to sprint 100m but Usain has to sprint 1km, obviously you would finish before Usain given the shorter distance you have to run.

I just point it out to show that s10 has animations which makes the app delay to open becuase of its animation. Both phones are fast, but s10 wins and overall s10 wins. P30pro is only superior in capturing images at night and thats it.

DO you even have both? After days daily use on my p30Pro i must say for daily use my S10+ 1tb is hard to beat. Battery is little better on P30Pro, but less pixels to push..Camera is better if you into Zoom and night shots. But Video like 99% huawei fails, and slow motion it do a poor job. SPeakers for sure s10+ UI for me OneUI is one of the better ones this days, but matter of taste tho so.. Screen most know samsung is the king, but the p30Pro is less good that i had hope for. Both great phones, and have their pros/cons..just have to pick the one with most pros you like. :)

I just tested the demo unit at the retailer...and it's awesome! Totally made my mind,plus I get 256GB,a Huawei watch and a flap cover( which I intend not to use!)so I I will just change the keyboard for the Gboard and I'll be all set!

It's a shame really. The only reason I'm struggling to decide on which phone to get is because the S10 has quite the better screen AND it has an 3.5mm jack. If the P30 had that, I don't think there would be that much of a competition because the phone otherwise is pretty damn good.

@@asakurtariq1331 I kind of doubt the 7 will have a camera on par with the P30 pro. It is an amazing camera and I use my phones camera very often. Tbh if the P30 pro had an audio jack I wouldn't care about the screen. It's not like it matters all that much, it's still an AMOLED display.

@@GamerGuy1O1 The only good part of the camera on the P30 is the optical zoom. With the S10, using Google camera software + Samsung cameras, low light pictures are even better than the own pixel phone lol. The knly drawback for Samsung Cameras is the software.
