Welcome to my camera comparison of the Huawei P60 Pro and the Sony Xperia 1V.
I had to adjust the audio levels of most recordings with the Xperia 1V to match the Huawei P60 Pro. The levels were fine on the Huawei, so just for the sake of being able to understand the content, I leveled them.

Those who want saturated vibrant contracy photos out of the box, should go for easy to use Huawi phone. Sony isn't for people who doesn't understand actual camera. If you know how to use camera pro app Sony will give you much more better dslr like quality photos.

Xperia is more on Entry level before going full camera setup so yeah they want user use manual mode and their Pro apps

Huawei for cleaner and better at night mode but sony focuses on what human vision see,in short much accurate of colors

Feels like something is wrong with your Xperia 1 V, I have the same phone and I am pretty sure it would've taken way better pictures. Maybe you have smudge etc on your lenses.

Regarding video, I found S-Cinetone video option really great in Sony Xperia. For night photos, I personally prefer Sony shots as I dont like algorithms which are making aggressively day from night.
