Huawei's new Pura 70 series of smartphones is increasing competition for Apple in China, the largest smartphone market.
The Pura 70 series is expected to ship 10.4 million units globally in 2024, a big increase from previous models.
Analysts believe the Pura 70 will be a major competitor for Apple's iPhone 15 and 16 series launching in 2024.
Huawei is expected to sell over 50 million smartphones in China in 2024 and regain the top brand spot with 19% market share.
The Pura 70 Pro and Pura 7 Ultra launched with strong initial demand and pre-orders selling out quickly.
The phones use Huawei's own Kirin chips, including possibly the Kirin 910 in flagship models.
After being blacklisted by the US, Huawei is working to address production constraints to meet demand for the Pura 70 series.
