The arrest of a well-known Irish immigrant by ICE officers has raised anxiety among locals who fear a crackdown on those who have overstayed their visas. An immigration attorney who knows the arrested man spoke with the Herald. (Herald video by Meghan Ottolini).

Don't know why this story keeps coming up after 3 years but from what I heard in Boston, this guy (John Cunningham) was not one of the good ones, not only did he have warrants out on him for fraud, he had claims against him in the small claims court for taking deposits and not completing electrical work, he also took money from other people but they never reported it to officials. He was extremely arrogant with a enormous sense of entitlement that he deserved citizenship. Rumour has it that his girlfriend (an Irish pre school teacher who is a lot older than him) was supporting him in his lifestyle. Not a nice guy.

*PlayStation Plus* - If the Mexican person is here illegally and is not a citizen, yes, they will be deported. A person doesn't face deportation simply because he or she is of Mexican origin.

If a person overstays their tourist visa, they must go before an immigration judge. Those that enter under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) can be deported WITHOUT going to immigration court, unless the immigrant is claiming asylum. Therefore, those that enter under the VWP go from the federal detention facility straight to the airport. Since only First World countries are in the VWP, the majority of citizens from those countries, including Ireland, enter the U.S. under the VWP because its easier and less hassle than going to the U.S. embassy or consulates to get a visa. So the deportation of someone from Ireland, UK, Australia, or Japan would go much faster than someone from say, Mexico.

they need to do it right . I am Irish full blooded but an American always have been. they are smart enough to know they did it the illegal way . and when caught they will have to pay Thank you Trump...
