I just wanna throw this out there: Agents of SHIELD became one of the best things in the MCU after season 1 and season 4 is likely the best season of any live action comic show ever. Definitely suggest it.
I cant explain to you how much I would adore a podcast were Kyle just talks about his personal philosophy, and views on life, and everything he cares about. Been watching this guy for like almost 5 years now and he never fails to say things that i strongly agree with, or make me think about something in a different way.
I can't speak for everyone but I don't have a problem with any/all of you guys taking a day off for the holidays. Heck take a week off. I get the holidays off and so should you guys. You shouldn't feel bad for taking a break and spending time with friends and family. I can live with not watching the Easy Allies for a week, and if it meant all of you beautiful boyz came back refreshed and happy then it's more than worth it.
On the other hand, many people only get Christmas off, and many don't even get that. Factories, hospitals, police stations, retail, etc... I'm all for them taking the week for themselves, but they should at least put in the work to have content prepared for that week they won't be there.
Several unorganized thoughts: - Kyle, I enjoyed your thoughts on taste and thought about how this can be extrapolated to other sense. Sticking with apples, we evolved to see color so we could pick out the red apple from the other green plants, so the phenomenon of color which is pretty important to our reality isn't "real" to the universe, or however you put it. I guess I would propose that once an organism's conglomerate of senses evolves to the point where life is self aware, can consider the future, and can contimplate the meaning of life, that itself defines what being is. The sum (being itself) is greater than all parts (individual senses) or something. - On micro and macro, maybe you've considered this but the "micro" content you guys make very quickly permeates and becomes macro (if you can at least define humans and earth as macro). I know my day will be better because of this video which intern will color my interactions with people. If 10k people watch this video and feel similarly to myself, then go on and interact with 100 people this week, all of a sudden the world is a tiny bit better for 1 million people then it was if this video didn't exist. You guys truly make the world better. -Huber, I'm sorry for your family member. Life is unfair and rough sometimes, but you are a strong and infectiously positive person and I believe that your strength and positivity certainly makes things easier for your family member and the rest of your family who are probably scared and struggling. Be brave for them.
Saw this a few days ago, started it, and went to do something else and life got in the way. Last night, I lost my cat who I’ve had for 8 years (long story). I saved her as a kitten and she’s legitimately thought i was her mom for years. She suckles on folds in my shirt like they’re nipples. Needless to say, I’ve been torn up for the past 12 hours. Went back to this video, and you guys succeeded in making me smile and took my mind off of it as much as possible. L&R
I absolutely love this look into Bosman's mind, especially the more philosophical or existential parts. Probably a long shot, but would love to see a philosophy book club with some of the allies. Edit: can someone please clip "Jazzzzz, dude?" for future use?
Kyle, you're having the best job in the world not because of video games, but because you have a voice and people that listen. You don't even realise how many souls you've touched with your words, funny or otherwise. I never realized I wanted the allies to get serious about life and in general till this episode, but it's amazing. It's the best way to connect with your audience ;)
This is my favourite kind of EZA stuff, the Allies just talking about life stuff. Makes me miss the Gundam streams, very similar vibe. An absoulte TREAT, thanks guys. Also can we have a show with Kyle talking about how weird life is? Feels like no one talks about that in general, life is so weird dude.
It's kinda weird but the way Huber feels about The Office is how I feel about Wrestling. I can't put aside my sense of disbelief and I only see actors pretending to hit people.
I could listen to Kyle and Huber talk about life, cosmos and why hands look so weird for hours. This episode really reached me. I enjoy all the Huber Syndrome episodes, but man, these are questions I ask myself all the time. I'm in the middle of my life unless I live long enough to be uploaded as data, and it really makes me reflect on life, family health, purpose and the things that really matter more and more every day. The whole taste, micro/macro, and passion sections blew my mind. You all are amazing people, keep up the great work EasyAllies!!
that whole existentialist discussion in the middle is what i think about basically constantly haha. it really struck a chord with me when huber brought up ‘bonds’ as life’s real purpose. i think we all need to live with that sort of purposeful tenderness
Huber and Bosman are such a good duo dude, love stuff like this. The old GT First Fifteen's with both of them are some of my favorite stuff they've done still.
haha, loved Kyle's rant on the existence. Please more of that. For me, in all of the beatiful and infinitely complicated universe we live in, along with all of the insane stuff that must happen in our body in order for us to live another second, there is always only one constant i can always get back to. Its being grateful for how things are, no matter how they are. That always helps to center me and in a way also gives a meaning.
Huber one word about the Office from me, Characters. Growing to know and understand the characters in that show is what makes me appreciate the scenarios, comedy and eventually even with what's going on in their lives. Their are episodes that genuinely moved me because I was able to just zone that stuff out and tune in. What Kyle talked about is also a big part of it where even tho the characters and premise are usually over the top and unrealistic theirs still sincerity about aspects of real life that the office deals with and makes funny underneath. The episode of Seinfeld where they are looking for the car is very similar to the office to me, it's just a caricature of real life and how people interact with each other without a lot invested in it. It's a great show to just have on to zone out to and not pay that much attention, play a game or take a nap. I wouldnt give it any awards or anything but I really like it, it's swimming in 7s.
32:27 I think that can be extended to explain why Seinfeld is so funny and successful. Yes, there are plenty of fantastically written and delivered "jokes" but a lot of the humor comes from the main characters just being petty, and yet the viewer often sympathizes with them on some level because humans are petty creatures. We get upset when we don't get thanked for a gift we purchased for someone, simply because someone else we were with was the one to hand them the gift, but we don't take it to the lengths of George Costanza essentially ending a relationship over it when he lets out his frustration, only to be gut punched with the sudden realization for his pettiness when he gets the scene exiting response, "George, all I did was hand someone a bag."
The booze cruise episode from the office is number 1. Also helped that it takes place on lake wallenpaupack where I used to skip rocks as a kid. Also these episodes are the best, and allies feel free to take a month off, we will still be here
I would love a Final Bosman like show but all about existentialism and cool observations on the world instead of video games. Love hearing those rants!
I love love love love this episode of Huber Syndrome! Aside from muting spoilers for God of War, I loved every second of this. It was real, raw, and sincere. Sincerity makes comedy better, but I also think that's the case for any medium. I really felt I got to know both Huber and Bosman mindset more and I know it'll give me further appreciation for future projects, streams, etc... Love and Respect!
@@JakeMoody_ the ultimate dream would be Huber and kyle smoke a joint and then film a conversation just like this one and then on another occasion for it to be kyle and Ian and see what kind of beautiful and insane ideas they could come up with
I just realized something, Kyle and Huber are both great conversationists. I think at least. I'm thinking about reacting and pacing. That has to be why I like listening to Syndromes with Kyle so much. It's just a comfortable conversation.
that was a good old ManUps Nights episode and i love it. there should be more of those where we talk less about games and more about Stuff :) kyle recently in a tetris stream said the Its All Connected Song in Tetris Effect got him to cry, i thought it was a bit but i believe him now.
I think we can all do for some intro classes into biology and chemistry (and maybe geology) to ease these existential quandaries. For instance, analogous structures and convergent evolution are concepts that will help you understand the world and what life on other planets would be like.
I enjoyed your taste rant, Kyle. My belief is that when you like Digimon or the Beatles or even the taste of an apple, you're actually pulling on a thread which leads, in the end, to the ultimate source of all 'taste'. In other words, the brief enjoyment we get from art etc. on Earth is a shadow of something perfect that does exist, which we long for without even really knowing why. Now, I believe that's God, and of course I believe in God for other reasons than "I like the Beatles therefore God must be real" - but that's how I make sense of art, taste, nostalgia etc. I was recently struck by a couple of lines near the end of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', when the main characters are watching a truly awful play put on by this group of earnest bumpkins: "Hippolyta: This is the silliest stuffe that ere I heard. Theseus: The best in this kind are but shadowes, and the worst are no worse, if imagination amend them." To me that's such a perfect response to people who spend a lot of time worrying about whether something is 'high art' or 'low art'. All art is aiming at the same thing: whether it knows what it's aiming at or not, whether it fits our 'objective' criteria or not, and whether it happens to pull on the thread of our desires or not. Anyway, you might never read this, but thanks for making me think!
Kyle Dragon Quest 11 is a full adventure. The full experience. Not soft I platinumed it and can't wait to one day play it again with the bonus dragovian trails weighing me down.
On Lightning Return's time limit - you have WAY more than enough time to do most everything. I get that the game initially makes a big deal out of it, but if you actually play super aware of the time, you wind up with a ton of time with nothing to do, just play it normally as if the clock isn't there, it's fine.
I relate to Kyle so much. I constantly think about how irrelevant everything is in the scheme of things and I can't stop thinking about where it all started, how did 'anything' get there. Its easy to imagine how life on earth started but not ever knowing what the point of the universe is will forever depress me. I don't think all these thoughts are particularly healthy tbh.
When Huber said Agents of SHIELD makes the MCU lived in, that convinced me. I watched episode 1 when it came out on disc and did not particularly like it. I'm giving it a second chance. Also, should not have watched this so late at night because I'm dealing with that Micro/Macro stuff right now so sleeping is gonna be near impossible. Otherwise, beautiful episode. Really hit me. L&R
I have actually bought FF13 Lightning Returns on sale for the xbox one because I have never had the chance to. So far I am really liking it and it is a great game until I can start to play MHGU.
I don't disagree that it's lazy, but they can still be amusing if the delivery is on point. Monster of the week formulas in TV shows are lazy, but they can be fun regardless.
