He was a genius of design, keeping things beautiful , in his home the use of the bold green, makes a clever and dramatic statement. Wonderful clothes, and Audrey did them justice. Beautiful , just beautiful.

Mr. Givenchy had the most exquisite refined style and taste. No matter on the runway or a hallway, Givenchy’s creations are timeless. The mark of a true genius!

I love that he filled his homes with what he loved . Also the symmetry in his design, which is very comfortable to my eye. My aunts motto which I now use is buy the best you can afford, don’t purchase junk to fill your home.

On a study tour of Europe, (1969) when in Paris our tour guide invited me to a Givenchy fashion show. I politely declined. I am still kicking myself for that decision!☺️

His modern rooms are interesting. As for Baroque-style rooms, I was not prepared to see too much symmetry in the interior of this world-class couturier.

He was encouraged and partially financed by Cristobal Balenciaga who supported and adviced him despite being his competition. Balenciaga gave most of his earning away to the poor and when I see the horror that has been done to hic iconic label today it is beyond belief. I started in fashion in the early 70's thanks to Balenciaga but it's the last house I would work for today.
