I believe we all have a purpose and only God knows that purpose. Maybe Trump's purpose is to help try to turn this country around. Only God knows why Corey Comperatore was killed. But I'm thankful that he was a good Christian and all-around good person. Doesn't help those he left behind. But only God knows His reasons. Trump is not God, but God does use imperfect people all the time to fulfill his purpose. I believe that is Trump. He is a true friend to Israel, God's promised land. I pray for our nation.

God protects everyone. So one could argue why He did not protect the poor father who sacrificed his life saving his family. We don't know and don't have the answers. What is ironic is the rhetoric that Trump's life is more important than his, that Trump is a martyr, and that he is not. Did anyone have a moment of silence for those killed and injured at the rally or at the convention? Our President Joseph Biden contacted this family and shared his condolences and prayers with them. What did Trump do? Cashed on the tragic moments 😢😢😢

He gives freedom to pick the evil life from Satan or the eternal life with god. He gives us instructions and the ability to contact him for our needs. Eternal life is with Jesus or with burning in hell with Satan. Satan means no acceptance of the creator. God don’t force his self on you but helps you live this life for his benefit to be with him when you die. Better think even driving a car. ?

If anything this confirms to me, as an Athiest, that God does not exist. I was raised to believe that God is good and God is all powerful; so then how was God’s hand able to save the life of Trump and let a man who had dedicated his career to serving and helping the public, running into burning buildings and reacted to gun fire by shielding his family, die in his cause? I agree with Bill on this.

You left out an important part of Maher's critique. If the grace of God prevented the bullet from killing Trump, then what about Corey Comperatore and his family? Were they not worthy of God's grace? You may answer with, "That's all God's plan and we cannot know it," but then don't pretend to know it was God's grace that moved Trump's head at the right time.
