I really do enjoy my Viva pro Gen 2. Plenty of power for driving and serving. Ive been awaiting to see if Hudef came out with their version of the Kevlar and carbon paddle. I tried a lot of paddles and have not seen any reason to upgrade the Viva pro Gen 2. ...until this Gen 3 has come out of course...More Spin and Control? where do I sign? Great review.
Definitely has more spin and power. To me gen 2 has a bit more control but gen 3 still has plenty of control. I decided to go ahead and move from gen 2 to gen 3
perfect timing! checking out Hudef upgrades. I have the Viva pro 14 and 16 mm and the Mage. Would like to add more pop to the game. Maybe Kevlar is the answer! Thanks for the review and the discount code.
Im interested how this compares to the Engage Pro MX 6 (i have) or maybe the CRBNx/B&B Filth. Engage has a higher swing weight, stiffer face, hits hard and has great pop (still controllable though but a diff feel than say a softer DbD.) Maybe difference with thermo kev/carbon is sweet spot(?) or you get a hair more control(?) With hudef joining the kinetic in price, the azul faces stiff (faced) competition.
There are so many good paddles coming out. it's making my decision harder! To get this or Spartan Apollo?... warranty hmm? The additional power is also appealing
Been using the Hued Viva Pro Gen 2 and had a lot of great experiences with it. Happy to try the new Gen 3 with the mix of kevlar and carbon fiber! Thank you for your reviews, the music is great with the quality of the review. I think Hudef is ahead of so many companies with their innovative approach while keeping the pro lineup under $200.
