Captivating moments on the Hudson River in Upstate NY!! Lots of effort and dedication in landing the elusive 7 Striped fish.. From early April to mid June we landed some beaultiful Stripers. Enjoy our adventures and Get Em Hooked!!
Great video. The bench was my spot back in the day. We would write our name, date and size of each striper we caught on it (back before it was painted tie dye) My name covered that bench. Suggestion... make yourself or buy a bump board if you're serious about it. The tape measure method you're using is actually adding size to your fish. Personally, when I hit 40 or 50 I want to know that I really hit 40 or 50. Tight lines🤙
Really appreciate you checking out the video and leaving feedback!! That bench is one of our absolute favorite spots, glad to hear from one of its pioneers!! Lol We'll definitely be getting a bump board this season and use it for our upcoming videos! 👌
@getemhooked good luck! I'm sure I'll pass ya'll out there. If you see a small center console called "Mukduk" going to and from the ckill creek give a shout
Some say a good way to tell is when the forsythia bushes bloom (they are the plants with the yellow flowers). We like to keep an eye on the water temp. We caught them in water from the mid to high 40's°F. They spawn when water temperatures hit between 50-60°F. When they start spawning they will starting chasing each other to the shore lines and splash like crazy! Hope this helps!
@@getemhooked Thank you very much I'll keep an eye on that, this is my second year trying to catch a big cow, last season I had a 42 inch one I hope to surpass that mark this year 😬
Lucky guy! Wish you the best this season tightlines! Stay tuned for some more striper action this season, if you have any other questions we will do our best to answer them!
