Had the absolute joy of sitting with about 200 people watching the boys do just this. One grand piano, one voice, no band! And One hell of a night that lives bright in memory.
It's a good shout, but it depends on what you preference is. He a definitely up there though. I don't know enough about the technical side of singing to be able to nude if someone is good or not so I can only go on what they make me feel. So on that criteria ; my two are Paul Buchanan and Liz Fraser. Pat Kane is probably a better singer though. A strong #2 for me
I just found this clip, I didn't think anyone could cover a Kate Bush song and do it justice, but Pat Kane has done it here. This is just sublime, absolutely gorgeous.
These boys were a masterclass in songwriting, vocals and a powerfull powerfull ability to perform. I grew up listening to these boys. Nearly 50 now and their lyrics and performances still give me a feeling of euphoria. When music and lyrics meant something........
@@adelemcg69 Thankyou for correcting me Adele, i thought i was commenting on "Looking out for Linda". Thankyou nevertheless. Was just listening to Kates "Cloudbusting".
So underrated - Greg is such a terrific musician and Pat has one of the "BEST" voices in this entire country. A great band with music so deep in their souls - they must get more exposure. You are fantastic Hue & Cry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
loved these guys back in the nineties ..this is one of the best ever covers coz kate bush is amazing & this does more than doing it justice ..sweet voice..
... still a thrill!!! Bless the day round 1987 when I came across the Kane Bros. for the first time and never stopped having a very soft spot for Pat's vocal chords and his very cute looks :*
Not is this just the most breathtaking versions of this song, you have to listen how he changed the words. So now it has a twist in it and surprisingly this song found and catched me in the exact same situation he paints with his words. A-fu-cking-ma-zing!
Pat has the audience in his hands and Greg's playing, its heavenly.... What awesome talent these two guys always had... Pure, gifted... I will always love this version of this ballad
I just love the cut of Pat's suit. I remember having a similar suit bought from Slaters in Glasgow around the same time as this performance . Wore it to Sixth form college every day and thought I was cool asf
Just beautiful. This is a brave & totally awesome co 3:09 ver of Kate Bush's follow up single to the classic 'Wuthering Heights'. She blew our minds back then & this is a gorgeous tribute to it.
