This awesome crew knocked out a huge 86 yard Georgia driveway in one shot. It was my pleasure to pour with this group of hard working guys. I love meeting new people and experiencing new places. Georgia was a great first stop on the easy money tour with plenty more to go!

This was really cool to see you work with a different company. To see how things are done in different parts of the country. For example if you go to Florida the actually use crushed shells in the asphalt. The shells are very hard and really wear tires out a whole lot faster. As always thanks for bringing us along and promoting other businesses Ryan. I'll see you in the next adventure for sure.

@joshcryer
@joshcryer 2 года назад
Thomas Concrete doesn't do the finishing, they are a Swedish company that bought out Costal Concrete and are taking over concrete delivery in the south east. They only hire drivers and mechanics / operators. I did, however, find the company that did this. I won't name them but they hire out laborers and the reason they are there is just to see if they are doing an OK job. You can see they leave as soon as the finishing is started. It's doubtful the sellers and managers know much if anything about concrete. This is all the laborers doing the best with what the upper management sends out (crappy back unloading trucks, no wire retention, excess aggregate, guys putting in 100 hour work weeks).

Most of that stuff looked as if it was for pumping with the gravel and as wet as it was. Screeding that way is probably why there were bumps in it and why they do it twice. Lots of crete and definitely hard workers. Keep up the great videos Ryan.

You should keep two quick trip cup samples from each pour. Then at the end of the tour, pressure test one sample from each. To see who makes the strongest crete!

Ryan you are the man! Yes concrete in the southern states have way more rock. You have to cut your control joints way earlier and tap your form edges. Jitter bugs and tamps. Keep it up man huge respect coming from Phoenix az concrete guy!

It’s possible they tried to get a higher psi without paying for steel and that’s why it was so gritty. Just a guess. Those guys had to strike off so hard they should’ve been exhausted. Great video Ryan.

I live 20 minutes outside of atlanta. Down here it's all Hispanics in the concrete industry and really construction all together down here. It's so nice to see Ryan hiring English speaking concrete guys in Wisconsin. Nothing against Spanish speaking construction workers but this is america which is an English speaking country so English should be spoken on the job sites. It makes it impossible to work on sites when you have Spanish speaking employees and English speaking supervisors and English written on all the drawings and plans. I know someone is gonna take this as racist but it could not be farther from the truth. Its just my opinion, because I've been on so many work sites where it's impossible to relay any information directly to alot of workers because of the lack of spoken English. So I appreciate the fact that Ryan hires English speaking employees.
