Sometimes things just work out and today they did. I wasn't expecting to pour concrete in Kansas but I was in the right spot at the right time. Have I ever told you how much I loved concrete? 😂

That was literally a once in a lifetime situation for Craig’s concrete. What random professional stranger comes up to your job site and asks to work for free and to essentially advertise your business? This was beyond awesome

Ryan, I’m sure you know this, but those guys will appreciate you more when their phone starts blowing up. They don’t understand social media. You essentially gave them an ad that caters to people interested in concrete work. Also gave the ready mix an advertisement. You did that for free. That’s why your channel will continue to grow as you help other small businesses grow.

This was awesome, can’t blame the guys for being cautious on letting you finish since they don’t know your work but nonetheless it seems like they do great work in their area and it was cool of them to allow you to come help last minute.

Honestly. No offense to Ryan but I can't imagine any concrete crew I've worked with in PA (though I'm mostly state work) that would let a random guy come and join in the pour. Let alone finish at all if they don't know ya. Really cool group of guys here, or Ryan is just super likable like we already knew

The owner reminds me of my dad, my dad has so much knowledge in the field of carpentry but man he’s getting older that’s for sure. But dad will still work with us everyday. He’s very respectful to anyone and every customer. I’m learning so much working for the business. I’ve been a welder for almost 10 years, and about 2 years ago he needed help bad so I left my welding gig and I’ve been learning the carpentry trade ever since. Love ya dad, I know you won’t see this but I appreciate you

Love what you're doing Ryan! I've been watching since the first month of your channel. It's been a fascinating journey to watch you travel and see concrete jobs in different states. I'm 32 and a 3rd generation concrete worker from the smallest state, Rhode Island. Safe to say concrete is in my blood. I'm in business with my 58 yr old dad who is almost deaf, which makes things challenging but we stay super busy and he is one of the hardest workers you'll ever meet in your life. If you're ever in the New England area and want to check Rhode Island off the list, I'd be more than happy to share our story with you!

@benjaminsagau
@benjaminsagau 2 года назад
@@nothanx3867 I think in a hurricane ,the area of destruction is way wider, so much more people are affected,hence not enough lodging.But The tornado is less wider ,so not so many get affected,but those who do...they are wiped out completely.I don’t know the details tough, so I might be off,even regarding the tornado but helping someone there would be a God send ..Helping a random crew,it’s great,but the outcome is different,compared to say,helping a family in need to clear the debris from their yard or helping pour a foundation to a new building for someone who got wiped out.

The older fella that owns the company is right about the skid steers, Caterpillar being superior. I have been in heavy commercial marine industry for over 25 years specializing in electrical and hydraulic systems. My brother has a landscaping company and has multiple pieces of equipment including 5 skid steers, and calls big brother when they stop moving. He has had a Case, not very powerful and would recommend it for spreading topsoil ,stone definitely not for heavy digging. The 4 Bobcats he has range from mid size to the largest one made, 2 with wheels and two with tracks. Overall they are a sturdy machine with good power, but when stuff breaks Lookout as the parts are super expensive. On the newer units (within the past 5 years) I feel the electrical system that runs the hydraulics is way overcomplicated and extremely delicate. On numerous occasions I have repaired/replaced endless relays, solenoids, computers and one repair I did not feel comfortable diagnosing ended up at the local Bobcat dealer, 5 MONTHS later it was ready to be picked up needed new electrical harness and other parts costing almost 7 thousand. Lastly he has one Cat with tracks, has amazing power, the hydraulics are sooooo smooth, can really do some fine work in tight spots, the hydraulic system is service friendly. The system does have a main computer but the way its designed and laid out makes it more service friendly and less temperamental then bobcat. The initial expense of a Cat is definitely more but in the end it is worth it, the longest the Cat machine was down was about 10 days compared to 5 months with bobcat. The service bills over the last 10 years, bobcats were about 85% of total repairs, that includes 2 backhoes, one loader, one small dozer and 2 Georgia buggies.
