HUGE ABANDONED Mystery House - You Won't Belive What's Inside

My stupid relatives did this shit. They left everything in a garage after one of their mothers died. Literally just left hundreds of dollars of items to sit in the sun and rain. Even baby pictures, pots pans, CDs, games, dishes, lotion, anything stupid you can think of was there. The cats and the rats started messing with the boxes. Took me two months but I went through it all throwing away hundreds of dollars of stuff which could have been donated. Then they bitched at me because I threw away their cat pissed on items, WTF. Some people just have no respect for how much stuff cost these days. Half the stuff that got thrown away were games for an Xbox which had melted in the sun. I never grew up with half that stuff that was sitting in the sun and rain being wasted. It's sad to think how some people never stop and think how lucky they are to even have these items at all.

I have been in this situation, not once, but twice. I've had to leave behind everything, because in severe hardships all you care about is your children and yourself. Nothing else matters when you have no place to go. You have a suitcase or bag full of clothes (or whatever will fit in your car) and just go. These people are hopefully okay. Maybe they left the state to go with family for a little while. You cant take everything you own because you cant afford a moving truck or storage unit, you just have to let it go and be happy to be alive to see the sun shine another day.

Update 2/17/17 After making contact with someone who knows one of the families who lived in the house i was able to get some info. This house sits on a busy stretch of road. One side of the house is a busy gas station, the other side lies two more abandoned homes (3 total including this one). The other two have been abandoned for many years. From what i was told, someone purchased all three properties. As to why they left so much behind? We still aren't sure but it seems like they weren't given much time to leave. As for the houses? They will be torn down to make room for businesses. JPVideos

You should do some more digging on what happened here, this is so strange. With still food left in the fridge, in which some was still fresh? They just packed up and left, still leaving personal effects. I always wonder what happens in these situations of how they leave so quickly and leave behind so much!

I have lost a couple homes and I have no family or friends so when I had to leave I had no money or means to move all my stuff so I had to leave everything I had to my name. three times I have had to start all over like this. so I'm guessing it was a similar situation. I know everyone wants to think it's like amityville where they left everything but I think it is simpler than that

I used to clean out foreclosed and abandoned houses after a week I wasn't shocked at what people left behind. .seen hundred of houses like this sadly...any out dated or heavy stuff usually gets left ...you name it I have found it...we got paid to clean the stuff out and could keep anything we wanted I used to save everything I could

Wow...so much stuff. Makes me sad and angry at the same time. Because they obviously didn't have time to take everything but so much good stuff just left behind. For someone who struggles to afford to buy much for me and my kids it just boggles me how people can leave stuff worth money behind plus the sentimental things like photos etc

this is wat landlords have to clead up when tenits leve in a hurry with out paying rent..

I would like to note that this isn't just one random house. This is on a busy section of street with a business on one side and two more abandoned homes next to it.

Looks to me like whoever lived there, lived there a very long time. When I sold my house in Jan, I had thirty days to poo adj up a 4 bedroom house of 40 years of living by myself. It took two days to move. There was so much junk left behind. The guys who bought it, told me to leave it because they were gutting the house anyway. It sounds to me like t h at new the house was going to be demolished. They too probably had to be out within a small time frame. It doesn't mean they didn't pay their bills. Maybe the owner sold it to a contracted who wanted to put in a big business. It's not easy packing up after years and years of living.

I used to see this all the time when my dad was in the marines. We stayed on the barracks and people would come and go and leave all behind. The ones that were leaving would ask the neighborhood if they wanted anything.

Something about that house didnt feel right. To many personal items left....so sad

I rented a house one time and the landlord told me if I would clean it I could have first months rent and deposit waived. I went in and it pretty much looked like this. food, clothes, toys, even a fish tank with a goldfish in it! Found out later the mom was a drug addict she went to jail and child services took the kids. We filled two roll off dumpsters.

I've seen a few abandoned house/mansion videos on RU-vid videos. It's very strange how so many are similar to this: all their items, including clothing etc. left behind, and the homes totally ransacked as if someone is looking for something specific. Explanations given don't really make sense, especially if a duplex or similar is concerned. For example, there was a huge mansion in England that had been turned into 3 separate apartments - every single apartment was left in this "ransacked" condition. Very Strange.

With some of these abandoned houses and buildings and the constant question, 'What happened to make people leave without taking anything?' Can't help to wonder, personal tragedy, financial reasons, et cetera. Am sure anyone could speculate while watching. Just find it amazing but also disheartening. What befell the former residents of the homes viewed, could happen to anyone. Enjoyed this vid.

I figured it had to be something like what you found out.I could see one side being evicted for non payment but not both at the same time.

My son Derek wrestled for hazleton since he was 5 he's now 20 at bloomsburg. He took alll of his metals he won at matches with him. Doing a sport any sport is not just great memories but of great accomplishments. Seeing all those metals broke my heart knowing who's ever kid had these not only were good at what they did but must be incredibly sad for leaving them behind. Hopefully these families are safe. This was excellent. I'm glad you told us what happened. The government took the houses I guess, or rezoned them. This is actually being determined in a court if the governments can continue to do this I am told.

JP, I know this video was 4 years old. But I totally wish we could've taken those medals and trophies with you and found the owner. But then again, its hard beca you were in the house so, its a catch 22. Its just so sad to me that that kid that worked and trained SO hard for those had to up and leave those, and most likely due to his parents lack of responsibility to pay rent/mortgage. Good find though!

what is sad is that I have been forced to leave quickly do to life events in the past...leaving only with what we could fit in a rented SUV...and that was a blessing to even leave with that much stuff because we were originally only packing like six suit cases and taking the train...but we had to leave so many things and memory's behind to escape a bad family situation... but I can tell ya that I can bet that a lot of that stuff was left behind unwillingly...

Our home of 21 years nearly foreclosed a year ago in October. We were separated and I was living elsewhere. Our home was listed the end of August and sold Sept 1st and we agreed on a Sept 28 closing. Sept 6th my husband (51 w/no know health issues) unexpectedly passed away and then I had to plan and have his funeral. Had I not had droves of help from family, friends and friends of friends - I don't know what I would have done. I couldn't take most of it to my apartment and we set stuff outside and posted free items on marketplace (strangers going through our things was awful but I didn't want to throw usable items away) we made trips to the recycle center and dump. I was in shock all of September last year as were our kids. If I hadn't had all the help - I would've had to walk away. Before going through all that, I wondered how it could happen too.

It is sad that no one of authority took the items that were salvageable and gave them to charity. Houses like this with so many personal contents makes me wonder if they were in some type of trouble and left in a hurry to avoid what was going to happen to them.

What a shame families can be forced out without much notice, especially when there's children involved.

I have seen properties like this before. It's usually a story like this; some girl has a few kids and then the parents break up. She goes on welfare, gets HUD to pay her rent. Then comes the meth head boyfriend that weasels his way into moving in. Before you know it he is either cooking meth in the home or dealing some other kind of drugs. The whole situation gets real bad. The mother and boyfriend pay no attention to the kids. Sleeze bag freeloaders are in and out of the place day and night. Eventually either drug dealers come and trash the place because the boyfriend has not been paying up or the police get involved....or both. You should be careful in places that look like that. If meth has been cooked in there the place is toxic. The toxic fumes cannot be gotten out of the premise. Usually the place has to be either gutted or torn down. People have died who moved into building like that. You can't smell it so it's difficult to tell if it's there. Sometimes the landlord tries to clean the place up but the place still has toxins in the walls, ceilings, and floors and the new renter gets sick but doesn't know why. It's difficult to diagnose. Look it up. Between mold in old homes and meth you probably should wear some kind of respiratory protection.

Wow!!!! To leave that much of your belongings behind, especially those metals that someone had to work hard for is just sad!!!! It does seem like they didn't have time to even think of what to do, where they were going to live.... but normally I don't see anyone leaving that much of their "prized" possessions behind. As a Mom and Grandma, I would sure as heck make sure my daughter and grandbabies take such items.

This reminds me of a friend of mine. Her family bought a house when she was a kid. Her mom began to hear things from the upstairs when everyone else was gone. They lived there for three years. One Saturday, they just moved out. They left everything. She told my mom that the woman watched them sleep. We still friends but,she sleeps with the light on. This happen 25yrs ago

I noticed a lot of the furniture was gone even some of the bedroom furniture. If these people are offered enough money for there house, why take anything with them ? Although why would they leave family photos, trophy's and other personal things? Strange ! Too bad you couldn't find out more. Nice video !

I have always asked myself the same question leave everything behind without taking anything? It will be that they are not land people and they are here for a while. while their world is arranged and they come looking for them? there must be a reason but as we do not know the answer it will always remain a mystery O_o do not go alone to those abandoned places, always go with someone else you do not know what you can find there although the house is abandoned... just saying O_o

The previous owners did not pay their bills. as in the mortgage, the bank sold the property and then the previous owners were given a notice on a friday that they had to be out by monday because the property had been sold and they no longer owned the house. Happened to a neighbor of mine after they did not pay the mortgage for 6 or 8 months.

I'm curious about the student of the (couldn't tell if it was week or month) poster on the wall. Also there were multiple port-a-cribs right outside the room. Could be there was a family daycare there or kids were home schooled. There seemed to be multiple cribs upstairs. The instructions on the wall were strange, It also seems they were working on repairs at one point and there are the new fence posts. Any chance you found mail or school papers with names? This video left me with many questions. If you happen to know any DPW workers, ask them.

You have to wonder if some of these people we're half way hoarders. There is just too much stuff to even be put up neatly
