HUGE Aldi food haul & July Degusta box | what I got for £87 in Aldi for a family of 4

Hope you feel better soon 💕sending lots of cwtches 🥰 When I cook my gammon joint, I roast it in oven then last 25 to 30 mins I make a marinade of runny honey and grain mustard then pour it over and roast it for remainder of the time,absolutely 😋yummy with chive butter Jersey royals, minted garden peas and mini corn on cob.

With the gammon joint.. put it in the slow cooker with a bit of veg or chicken stock til it falls apart, then fork it all and mix in bbq sauce. Put the meat mix in burger buns and have with fries and corn cobs ✌ Your food shop hauls are the best xx

Hiya Faye. You can not be on top form every day sweetheart. Life ain't like that as you know by now. I love how you try to hold back your laughter.. it kills me. You know Faye,,, you work nights, you look after a family. You painted the bathroom and clean and do laundry and you say garden needs doing. Go sit in the sun and sod it all. That little rattan set is great. Mine was £130 from B and q five blooming years ago. It's nowt special but it makes a big difference in the garden now. If the wedges and spuds are soft enough then they do not need boiling. I par boil spuds for five mins before roasting because they cook quicker and softer. I am blooming hopeless with gammon. I think you can add carrot and a bit of onion. Pour coke in but not diet. I just stick pineapple on. lol. Lamb and pie baking I excel but Gammon? nope.

You could try your gammon joint in the slow cooker with a couple of carrots, onions and peppers chopped. 2 tins of chopped toms, a good squirt of Tom purée, 2 tins of baked beans, paprika and chilli to taste. You could even put a few potatoes in. All in one pot! X

Have u got plants in the window ? Check them to see if tiny flies are coming from the plant soil

I get the fresh pasta and I agree there is not enough for 2. We always have a side salad and a nice oven baked cheesy flatbread with it. I like the fresh sauces you can get for the pasta too, they definitely bulk it out x

Gammon faye mix mustard and honey and just smother it and then cover over the dish tray and baste every 20 mins xx

I don’t boil my spuds for wedges, BUT if I have some potatoes on the edge... I cut into wedges, boil them for a min or two, cool then freeze them. When we want them I just defrost & cook. Ohh that jalapeño chilli jam would be lush with that ham...

I microwave my potato wedges for about 5-10 minutes instead of boiling. Makes then super crispy when fried or baked in the oven.

Hi faye I part boil chips then put them in air fryer the nice with abit of oil in for 15 mins.

I use citronella Incence sticks for the flys and midgets inside the house and the garden. It works

Aye went to Sainsbury's yesterday, £82,00 down, only £4,00 on food, rest on clothing 🤗, all sales. Plus Bathroom towels, get in Fate, have a look. Aye don't do my food shopping in Sainsbury's, it's to expensive I think. But love the clothing & bathroom towels.

Had to pause video to say.. I am a fat b*stard ( 🤣 ) & I’m so glad someone else has said those stuffed pasta packets doesn’t equate to two portions!! Definitely not to two adult portions any way! I did find a way to bulk it out though if you’re interested? I make a pasta bake out of them! Throw in some leftover gammon, leftover cooked chicken from a roast, cook some bacon or sausages up from the fridge - chop it up, cook stuffed pasta as normal, & then I throw in some frozen peas (tinned will do too), tinned sweetcorn, & Chuck in a proper chopped up (& I often have some frozen diced onion floating about in my freezer, that gets added too!), throw in a jar of pasta sauce (I like the creamy Aldi one), I put some foil over it for 20-25 mins (to cook veggies, if you pre cook the peppers etc I’d just put in for 10 mins to heat it all through) then top with cheese & wallah! Serve with salad / garlic bread or have on its on. It’s more filling & stretches the pasta out 😁 With a gammon joint I have mash potatoes, veg, Yorkshire pud & some gravy! Flys are this time of year sadly. We get inundated with them. We buy fly papers but be careful where you hang them (not where doors open or where you can get tangled up in them lol) but they work for us. Not the most attractive thing but it keeps them at bay. I also only feed my cats half a pouch at a time & wait until they come to me for food! Hope you had fun at the bouncy house with the boys Hun. And I hope you’re feeling just a little better xxx
