I love this. I'm a reader first and everything else second . (art, gardening, cooking) so my personal definition is that I'm officially interested in something when I've purchased at least 5 books on the subject. Plus, of course, the things I just like to read. 📚

My art book collection is nowhere near as big, but it is starting to take over our book case. Regarding Alien, did you see the pre-order for the 40th anniversary release in October? It's called Alien: 40 Years 40 Artists.

If you’re interested in portraits you might want to check this book out: how to paint portraits in pastels by joe singer. It’s a very old book but it has loads of great info on portraits

Gosh, you've reminded me to look into getting at least one book by Alphonse Mucha. It's easy to see why so many artists today are influenced and inspired by his style. Your DK books are quite nostalgic for me, I loved their one-subject science and history books of the 90s. Taschen is kind of like the DK of the now, and even their little pocket book sized books are lovely.

I think its pronounced soomee-eh Cause the I in japanese い is pronounce ee and the E letter え is pronounced eh

When going through the "Journey" book you were saying that you don't know if there are other books with augmented reality. It just happens that you have another book with augmented reality in your collection, it's the one by Scott Robertson, "How to draw".

Sadly the "the Art of Journey by Matthew Nava" so nowhere to be found :(
