It's my first spring living in central Florida and man do your videos have me ready to party! So far just nerodia, anoles, and some squirrel frogs here. Thank you for showing us how to find these critters and for always being so respectful to animals.
Depending on your actual location you may see a huge amount of corn snakes, even more black racers and as you already saw banded water snakes some ring necks and you always run the risk of a pygmy rattler and more commonly water moccasins...I have a sidewalk the goes all the way around the perimeter of my house and they like to get underneath to make dens I guess ... hope you see a bunch 🤘 (Go Gators)
@@mattgonzalez4457 There was an awesome huge black racer living under my friend's house last summer, I hope he comes back! According to neighbors we have coral snakes on occasion here too, so I'm on the lookout lol Gators
@@bellamichelle777 there are definitely coral snakes... be careful in leaf litter and your flower beds etc... I had a friend get bit while doing yardwork (he's fine)
@@mattgonzalez4457 yes we've got tons of that in our yard, especially after that big freeze we had. Im in Lake County, backing up to a nature preserve so it should be poppin!
You young men scare me grabbing water snakes off of rock walls. This old woman will just sit here on her computer and watch you fearless ones, thank you!
"Darkness is falling, Peepers are calling, And I have a long drive home." Now if that's not a great refrain for a song, I don't know what is. Write it, Noah!
I have pickerel frogs all over my backyard (live in Atlanta area) and I can't wait for them to start coming out again! I hope they like the wildlife pond I'm making :)
Awesome video Noah! You may have had a few bad days, but this one made up for it! I just loved the king snake and the racer! I love black/black and white animals! The other snakes were cool too, as well as the salamanders! I am always happy when I get the notification that you have a video out! Thanks for the entertainment as usual. You never disappoint! 😄💙🐬🐊🐍
Just curious. I've only been bit a couple of times. Mad black rat snakes. But I only see them when I come across them here at home. I'm not out looking for them. That being said, have you ever had any bad reactions to a non-venomous snakebite? Infections or anything like that from the bacteria, etc.?
I think it’s a hoot that you don’t mind in the least when they bite you? Do they draw blood? Oh boy, those water snakes will be happy to take a piece of you. I’d think you would have bloody digits by the end of the day.
Hey man just wanna say loveeee your helping content, and your actually close to where I am! So if you are ever in Tennessee let me know, I’d love to go helping! 😂
Very beautiful finds. Especially the dark king snake, the water snakes and the lizards. Why is it called Queen snake? It isn’t impressive at the level of the King snake. The name would suit better the water snakes. Also where are the garter snakes? Supposedly they rat one of the most common snakes in North America
This is weird but what do you do as a job? You seem to be able to just go wherever you want and Herp every day, do you work in herpetology and work by herping? Cause that would be awesome.
I think he does; in a couple of videos, he has shown us a chart where he marks down coordinates for where he has found certain snakes, and notice he always talks about taking photos 'in situ' (latin for "as found"), which is how I think he's required to do it when he submits the photos, so the impression I have is that he's employed by the county or state to record all the herps he finds, so they can keep track of them. Amphibians especially are indicator species, giving biologist important information about ecosystems.
Some guy in a frog and toad Facebook group that I'm a member of has a large female albino pickerel frog as a pet. He found her a couple of years ago by a pond on his property when she was really small. He collected her because she probably wouldn't have lived very long in the wild because of her albinism. She is really cool looking with her pink eyes.
Well, everything is going to go back in the ground this weekend - NW SC lows will be in the high teens tomorrow (Saturday) night. Good for killing unwanted insects that have already hatched out - and hopefully it will greatly diminish our annual yellow dust storm of pollen that was beginning to crank up.
Meeting with you is a must I love that you make sure you go out and get good videos. When I start taking my trips your the first person im going to met up with!!!
