I have to admit, I saw the picture of the Bear, then read chocolate milkshakes. I really have to go to my optometrist. Great video nonetheless.

It took me until reading this comment to figure out that “chocolate milkshakes” wasn’t what was said.

Awesome to see all those milks! Cool to see some differences on those ringnecks, just caught a few "southern looking" ringnecks in the mountains of MD which doesn't make sense.

I'm bummed 😔 we had an accident with a shovel and a dekays brown snake today while running irrigation line to or raised beds. Poor thing.

@NKFherping Gotta love milks, That's one of my main targets for the next couple weeks, but I'm having trouble finding good places to flip rocks :( Congrats on the 200k subs!!!! Its great to see a herping channel get so much attention.

Nice finds, but why everything is in shed? This corn would look brighter after its shed. Nice large milk snake too, imagine how it would be like after the shed. The bear was unexpected though.

Just a quick note! In Georgia "flipping" stones in the wild MIGHT be a violation of Georgia code 27-1-30. I would HIGHLY recommend making sure you are NOT violating the law in these videos. I have no plans to make any more such comments, but just want to make sure you have checked out 27-1-30.

I went to highschool with a guy named Joe Gallo. I'm from Long island, ny. a few months ago I messaged him, sent a picture of crazy joe and asked if he knew who it was. He responded saying "Crazy Joe gallo is my great grandfather." pretty cool! I didn't expect him to actually say that. I thought he might be lying at first, but he knew the name "crazy joe gallo" just from looking at a picture of him. Also, he seems to know absolutely nothing about the mafia, but he knows that crazy joe was shot and killed in umberto's clam house. He had no idea why he was killed either, just knew the name of the restaurant. I can't think of any other scenario where someone knew that but didn't know about the colombo thing. other than hearing it through your family members because it's your great grandfather.

I’m in a suburb north of metro Atlanta and have 3 acres of property that backs up to army corp property and a water fall. My 10 year old loves to go helping but really doesn’t know how to do it. Any advice to keep her safe (with my supervision of course) while flipping rocks? I don’t want her to grab a copperhead by mistake.

Im in germany so nor sure if this applies but when young I learned that male frogs and toads protest (noises) when you hold them from behind under the front legs. A reflex to tell other males that they are no girls in the mating season.

The toads in the mountains probably get so huge because for the most part they are away from human interference like roads and pollution. If they manage to live a few years and get large enough they usually don't have to worry about garter snakes either but if they live near a permanent body of water they have to worry about water snakes and snapping turtles. The female toad that I had as a pet for 30 years got to be really huge because she never had to worry about predators and was also well fed.

I've always been told snake bites can make you sick. you ever get an infection or anything from any of the ones that pop you in the arm and stuff?
@NKFherping
@NKFherping 2 года назад
I’ve never had an issue with it, and I’ve heard several credible snakebite experts say that it doesn’t happen. At least with small snakes, any gaping wound could get infected but it isn’t the result of the snake itself.

I hope that fancy green glove is fang proof. Surprising those big, handsome toads didn’t pee on you. As always a most entertaining video. Oh yes, the pink “lady-slipper” you filmed is a native orchid, genus Cypripedium.

Typically how long would it be for them to loose their skins when the eyes are that deep blue? A day or two, or still weeks away?
@NKFherping
@NKFherping 2 года назад
Usually it takes 1-2 weeks to shed from when they start becoming blue. Depends on species, moisture, and probably some other factors I don’t know of.
