@@RonHamilton-h3r Unfortunately if I go too slow then many people end up complaining, so I tend to tell people to use the pause button and rewind if needed.

The transferring of apk'sbetween devices installed with explore I didn't have any problems as I did with downloader or transfer files to my tv. My firestick was the newest 4k max. It was aslo getting the sideload problem on older firesticks as well after they updated. You have to download the files to your non firesstick device, download explore to your non firestick device and your firestick then transfer the apk's to your firestick by way of wifi On both devices. You have to you the scan function through explore on both devices at the same time. Link them then start your transfers.

Thanks for this, got my beloved Xplore up and running at full steam ahead, now to find out what other pitfalls I'm going to find. I can get Mouse toggle app started but can't get it to actually operate so it's looking like another touch keypad and dongle again. I'm glad I came across your video, very much appreciate your help on this problems. Big thumbs 👍 up for the post.

so i have a brand new fire 4k max but i dont have an old one to transfer apps or have any apps to transfer because i never did this before do you tink it will be fixed over the next few months for the new os so it can the apps can work again
es file explorer permissions are also blocked all of them are. And this does not unlock permissions. It still only allows media so i cant uninstall any bloadware apps.
I understand Amazon have fixed this problem with permissions now please make sure your firestick is up to date and go into Manage Applications select the application, select Storage then All Files
It will never officially give you this option, but some are saying it does seem to be working for them, however, I would expect Amazon to put a stop to this shortly.
That's too much work. Just load explore on your stick and your phone or whatever else and transfer apps from your phone (as I did through the wifi in the explore apk on both devices) to my new 4k max. Did this last night after receiving the stick yesterday. All the old side load apps still work. The new 4k max will not install arm64 apk's though.
Its a great app is x-plore, thanks for letting us know this works to transfer apps, but I am not sure this would help with apps that need certain permissions on the firesticks, no matter how you got the app on the stick you will still face the problem of permissions once its installed.
CHRIS ....PLS with new Firestick 4K MAX is impossible avoid sleep mode. After 30 minutes the firetv go in sleep mode and the screen became black, so no screensaver etc.. you must touch remote to see again FireTV menu. Old known command "settings put secure sleep_timeout 0"...trough ADB not work anymore on this 2° gen.... can you try to find a solution? THANK
