Huge CCT Lavender Farm + Manukau Heads Lighthouse in South Auckland, NEW ZEALAND 

Happy new year everyone! We actually shot this in mid Dec but we interrupted our regular schedule with last week's "Christmas special" first :D
We were staying out in Karaka (a rural area in South Auckland), house and dog sitting for our parents so when they finally came back from their holiday we decided to make a vlog out in that area because why not right? Since we were in South Auckland, we also figured we should make a visit over to Manukau Heads Lighthouse too in Awhitu Peninsula.
Our day began with a quick stop for some food at the General Store & Cafe. They have a great menu to choose from but also tasty and filling cabinet food as well. On top of that, you'll find friendly staff, a convenience store and even beautiful fresh flowers there too.

Only a short drive away was a lavender farm that's recently opened up to the public. CCT Lavender Estate is a certified organic lavender farm in Karaka, South Auckland. It's a family friendly place with a café there too and during this summer the lavender fields are free to visit (i.e. no entry fee).

NB: Dec-Feb seem to usually be the best time to visit lavender farms in New Zealand especially if you want to see the lavenders in bloom.
