Awesome episode and phenomenal offseason Kronos! The team looks AMAZING!! 1. The fans are excited to see how Patrick performs on the 1st line, as well as how Svensson does as the undisputed 1RW. First crack at it for both players. 2. Matheson is barely good enough offensively/defensively to play in the NHL. Thought he'd benefit from a year in the AHL, then coming up as an ~83ov next season to compete for the Calder immediately after the draft… However, the lineup looks incredibly good with him in it the way the GM showed. Plus, if he grows throughout the season like Quenneville/Dowd/Svensson did before him, we'll be in business regardless of where he is now. 3. TRADE 1: Rocky Bhowmik (extended for 8 years at @85% of his contract demands) to a team that needs a top 6 winger in exchange for an elite prospect or an unprotected 1st round pick With Matheson cracking the NHL roster, there's no top 9 role left for Rocky, and at 84ov, he's way too good to play 7-10 mins a night on the 4th line + PK. He has 5 stars hands, 91 offensive awareness, 91 defensive awareness and is only 24yo. He'll definitely get stunted if we pigeonhole him on the 4th line, whereas he could become an 86/87ov+ player with top 6 minutes. It's the reverse Kennedy: a player dying for an opportunity to thrive in a bigger role elsewhere. He was okay in the regular season for us last year, but produced minimal offense in the PO despite playing 3rd line minutes + PP. Given the offensive weapons we have onboard and his current shortcomings (still can't skate or shoot), he'll never get a better chance than that, yet deserves an opportunity to prove he's capable of more. Also, Brookbank is the exact same player (Rocky started his NHL career as a 22yo, 75ov) and is much more suited for a 4th line role moving forward. Therefore, we should sign and trade Rocky. That way, the player gets his big payday and an elevated role, the AI team acquires a unicorn 24yo top-6 grinder for at least 9 years and we receive an A asset in return for an expandable piece. 4. TRADE 2: Stanton to a team that needs a top 9 forward for a 3rd round pick Despite what their overalls say, there's no doubt Tukio is currently the better and more rounded player of the two. In fact, out of all the prospects that came up and ran with their opportunity over the last few years (Quenneville, Dowd, Bowmik, Patrick, Barker, etc.), Tukio is the most similar to Svensson. Same height/weight, both amazing playmaking wingers poised to start their careers on the 3rd line and work their way up from there, etc. Tukio is 100% an NHL player and should not play a second in the AHL. In fact, he should get the nod over Matheson for the last PP spot to start the season, since his offense is much further along. 5. The Ottawa trade at the draft: Meh… Sure the Sens lost out, with Pickering hitting FA, but it was marginal enough deal to slide. Since OTT likely has a stacked roster already, we can always throw a 3rd or equivalent prospect their way to balance things out if the GM feels like it. 6. Good call by the GM to avoid picking up extra bodies despite the names available in FA. There are some huge extensions coming (Hoffman, Patrick, Quenneville) and we just might be at the onset of something special with the team we have as is. 7. Can we check out TBL, PIT, BUF and OTT’s lineups? Thank you again for the amazing episode and full apologies for the harsh criticism in the last one. It was a tough loss, but at the end of the day there's no guarantee a change would have made a difference. Plus, as you said, we're still in a prime position to win and have had very little to complain about with 3 Cups in 11 years. So thank you for the amazing series, take care and see you in the next one! 🙂

Thanks for the suggestions Alex! 1. I am excited to see our performance as well!! 2. We can keep an eye on him... If he struggles I can always send him down but no harm in starting him up in the NHL! 3. I sadly agree. I was SO excited to have Rocky on the roster but he doesn't really have a place anymore. 4. We can absolutely bring up Tukio! Excited to see what he can do! 5. I agree I can send a 3rd their way 6. It was definitely a weird free agency but I don't think a huge addition is what this team needs right now 7. Absolutely! No apologies necessary Alex! You make the series so much more complete with all the suggestions and time you put in. It really elevates the series!
