This is a Doll Gold mine !! I would have made a offer on them all ! You passed up some really valuable ones . I know money is tight but WOW I sure would have got a few of them.
I went in blind. I did a lot of my learning afterwards. Totally bummed. I absolutely left a TON of valuable dolls behind. At least now I know what to look for.
That auction made me sick! The dolls went so cheap and I sure wish I would have been there to buy some! I have collected dolls since 1985! There were alot of good dolls!
i went to a auction and i got 80 dolls for 60. most had 2 per flat. for a dollar. some where horseman dolls from 1940d. most in better shape than the ones in this video. it was a score
Im not even sure how to respond. They are inanimate objects that were auctioned off. The entire estate was done in 3 hours. I turned the one's i did buy into creepy doll head lamps and sold them in my oddity shop.
my favorite doll is the bisque in the box with the vintage dolls, the bisque is an antique I wish you would have taken it out so we could have a better look at that beauty.
@@collectivetreasurespickina373 You did great! You have a value of $3 to $4000 good for you....the one doll is great, and the pipes and the mannequin are big winners.
i know this is old but i love the reborn dolls and the baby dolls . its sad the person wont be able to see her dolls any longer, i feel for the people who have to sell stuff like this. im glad my collection is dinky compaired to what ive seen on you tube. so sad, people die then thier families have to sort through the stuff.
And most of the dolls sold for pennies on the dollar. The reborn with the caved in head was not my favorite. I am still learning about dolls and their value other than the repurposed creep factor. I sell them easily for that on my oddities Etsy shop. Since this auction i have been doing much more research on doll values and what to look for.
In an auction setting it unfortunately doesn't matter what the value is much. Its worth what the buyer will pay. And it seemed with that big of a property that they just needed to clear it and fast. I believe even the house went up for auction.
Youre making me picture dead crows laying in a doll beds. Love it😎it’d be cool if mannequin boy just stood outside in your yard😂i have a lady on my front patio who scares the fedex guys every time
*sigh*. This estate was completely cleared, whole house, barn, and garage in 3 HOURS! You only have roughly an hour/hour and a half to search through everything. Nothing was damaged by myself and I didnt get much of a chance to buy. Maybe you should avoid watching auction videos or please stay away from Goodwill bins videos. Sheesh.
i got 80 dolls for 60 dollars at a auction last year. some were horseman dolls from 1940s and in good shape with the outfits and all. most flats had 2 dollars in one box. some were 80s cabbage patch which i got 2 dolls per one dollar on most flats. i want to sell all of them but i will keep the cabbage patch as that is what i like the most.
Ok does anyone know anyone who collects dolls.? My mother has been a collector for long time. She passed away an now I'm looking for homes for all of them! Lots of Ashton Drake an hemming way ect... All in original boxes. Probably around 200 if them.
so we brought my friends 3 year old fraternal twins to this...regrets...they BOTH went home with large baby dolls the one in pink at 8:32 and that thing is fucking massive! its the size of a three month old baby! they got another with a bunch of joints, why my friends said yes idk but if these kids start talking creepy they can find another babysitter
Stuffed animals are another thing I have started looking into this last year. Ive done pretty well on some. Just boxed a pair of Mickey/Minnie plushies from the 80's. Sold for $30 + shipping. Not bad considering they were a cheap garage sale pick up. You should do well on the bears! Good luck!
The reason I gave you a thumbs down is how you handled the old dolls. They get brittle with age and you put stress on the dolls taking them out. Not good.
That seems incredibly unfair considering this was an auction setting. These were mostly thrown into large totes and bins by the company. I bought very few of them.
There was 2 auctioneers and the crowd was split. There were quite a few people there. One lady bought a majority of the dolls. They kept giving her bulk deals and weren't giving the rest of the crowd a chance to bid. They were just trying to clear them as fast as possible. It was kind of frustrating.
@@collectivetreasurespickina373 I would have been highly upset at that! I sure wish I could have went but I would have needed the money plus drive thousands of miles! The barbies are not my thing but they are very valuable. The lady that bought them knew there value.
@@kathleenwhite2236 i don't know anything about Barbies. And i went into this auction really not knowing much about the dolls. I have since done some research and am bummed I didn't try harder for certain bins while there.
