Not Russian, they’re Greek…thanks! Also, the screw down cases were recessed but also, they were only a temporary solution until my magnetic cases came in from Amazon. All is well!
I like when a home owner gives you a price and you give them more than the offer. You are a kind man. And throwing the kid and extra 10 bucks was cool too!
@@quasar9111 he’s going to garage sales and asking them their prices. If they knew what they had, yes it would be sold for more. As some people say “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.”
I love it when people are honest. when someone asks for an amount of money and you know you will score well on it and you give more , thats total respect and makes you a very decent person in my opinion . Its only a 10 and you know you will make decent money , but , you don`t have to do that , thats just generosity , and giving the lad some money too . Thats just pure class brother . Much respect ! Subbed !
This guy running the garage sale is a born salesman. He keeps pulling out more and more things for Anthoney to see. Those Garfield comics in those different languages are pretty neat!
Haha 100%, exact thing I thought. Dude locks in the big sale then keeps “finding” a bit extra to add. Genius level tactics, strung the hell out of the sale
@@valerioskonosov6609yeah I too recognized it as Greek. No particular reason other than I recognized some of the unique letters. I would have happily bought those for 10 because it's Garfield and the novelty of them.
I would have waited a second before saying deal.. like I was thinking it over. That way the seller won't think they got suckered and then try to upsale you on future purchases
@@listen2lucki he's not saying the guy would change the price. He's saying that how he agreed so fast on the 10$. It might affect how the seller sells the other items
The guy selling is obviously living comfortably and doesn’t want to deal with the hassle of digging/ looking up what everything is worth. He made some money middle manning it to some who has the time.
I'm most impressed by how you handle their property with respect and even though you could have gotten an item for cheaper you gave him more for a fair price.
Benign Username: Yes. The power of nostalgia is amazing. The older I get (I'm in my 60's), the more I appreciate nostalgia with things like music. For me, I'm not into collecting all that stuff, but I can certainly understand how it will appeal to lots of people depending on when they grew up, and what they played with.
Its really nice to see a grown man just enjoying his toy collecting hobby and spending his hard earned cash on something that others would find ridiculous. Really wholesome, seems like a really nice guy!
It's a sign of good business - for the buyer. A salty dealer will always make a lot of some garbage, to get around to buying the real 'steal' for next to nothing just behind or next to it. Something like this: "Hey, do you want to just throw that old thing in with it? Might use it for spares or something? May as well take it off your hands while I'm here - going to another sale soon, so may not have cash later !"
I’m from the uk and we don’t have ‘yard sales’ but we have got ‘boot sales’ which is where you put things u wannna sell in your car then go to a field with hundreds of other people and sell stuff out your car and I’ve been to many and I must say these yard sales seem to be so much better. The stuff you’ve found is awesome
I used to do a lot of flea markets myself, not selling but looking. Yard sales are easier for the seller because you can just put it all out there and not have to haul it around. I travel throughout the US rather extensively for work and many of my off days I comb through antique stores looking for deals. I’m not a seller, I’m a collector and while I’m not motivated by profit occasionally I come across something that is too cheap in price and too valuable to pass up. On a recent trip to Illinois I found a massive shop located in what was at one time a train depot and spent hours there. Considering I’d flown and not driven my eye was mostly on things I could take on an airplane with me, but they had a gorgeous intact National Cash Register from 1913 I really wanted. The price was fairly accommodating compared to what it would go for where I’m from - like less than half. However, in searching high and low through the place I came across a couple of railroad stock certificates from 1908 that bore the signature of the 25th President of the US. Not a mimeograph, but a genuine signature. I did some quick internet work to compare the signatures and make sure it was legit, and bought the pair for $50. I turned around and sold them for $2200, which was enough for me to take the time to drive back out with a vehicle and purchase the register. $50 and a weekend of my time got me something that would have likely run me close to $5000 had I found it where I live.
Some of these comments are silly. This was not a collection, it was a storage unit unit buy that he had been selling slowly for 5 years. He was over having the stuff in his garage. I took a gamble because he wanted me to buy it. There was WAY more trash than treasure. C’mon!
Wow. Your lucky. After my gpa passed someone threw my shoebox full away. Still hunting for just one card from the first series at yard sales or flea markets
Hey hit me up I have thousands of dollars worth of cards my mom collected them since the day they came out and they're all in actual mint mint conditions all protected in laminate sleeves
Awww the Greek Garfield (it says "For Smart Kids" on upper left corner) must have been right before Greece (and many other countries in EU) dropped their national currencies and adopting the Euro (judging the time period loosely based on the comic's price of 500 Drachmae - 500 Δρχ.)
i used to have that exact same leech figure as a kid, i literally havent had that memory return to me for so many years until just now when i saw it..incredible
This is such an American nostalgiac thing.......yard sales!!! Going with my mother in the late 70's and through the 1980's.Just great memories. She would give me like $5 and I would immediately look for the baseball card guys.Truly the best memories of my childhood.Thank you so very much for the video.Keep them coming.
That chess set caught my eye from the first moment honestly, even if the top is a little busted it's still really cool and a set I would be interested in playing a game with
Love how a seller gives you a price and when you know it’s worth more then what they’re asking you’re indeed giving them extra , ! New subscriber will be watching your content moving forward🎉
I’ve never seen a yard sale like that. The ones around here are usually just a few VHS, some old kids clothes, a box of books, and maybe some shower curtain rings sitting on a crooked square card table in the middle of an overgrown lawn.
@@tiggywinkle1000 elaborate. Instead of trying to sound like a genius with every reply you make, you should really try to use words that an everyday person would understand.
He’s a good guy. A lot of people would have low balled. 200 bucks for that? He can probably turn a profit but idk how much. The guy would have let it go for 100

@@crc0889 You are right in the fact they are the closest thing we have to a thrift store etc. Although most of the thrift stores over there are massive, some supermarket size, crammed full of stuff, cheap prices, great variety etc. UK charity shops are a waste of time tbh.
That chess set was a nice score man. My grandfather had that exact same set before he passed. A few years after he died we had a garage sale and his set was actually in the garage and someone saw it and offered us $150 for it after we told him it wasn’t for sale. We decided to just hold on to it though.
Nice haul. Fair prices. $3 for the first sale... Lol wow. I used to do what you're doing. Ebay became a hassle. Now I started my own estate sale company. Very successful. I'm blessed
Honestly the fact that he covered his costs several times over, had items to donate to a charity, AND a Leech He-Man figure and those Garbage Pail Stickers! Do a follow up on the HV Garbage Pail Stickers. I don't know the process of grading, have you had them graded?
I just wanted to tell you I enjoy watching you shop. You are friendly and respectful to others. I also like that you’re respectful of the sellers’ property too. You don’t throw the items back onto tables or leave folded clothing in disarray. And most of all Elliot is a very well mannered youngster. Happy Shopping !!
This looks fun and nostalgic but if u don’t have an antique store n online store like this guy you would be just another hoarder. It’s a lot of work to catalog, package and list all this stuff. And there’s always a ton of backlog to catch-up with. The cycle will be complete when they end up in storage and someone else has their go.
@mr me yeah but you got to start somewhere you can’t just be all of a sudden be making $2k a week just reselling , some of the biggest businesses started off making peanuts but it’s the constant reinvesting and almost torturing yourself to save as much as you can get to ahead that’s how real businesses are started hey 10 years from now if you have a successful business you could be making $2k a day with no problem
But the effort to evaluate them all for a rare find & then have to act as a vendor might not be worth it even to get several hundred to a few thousand dollars… not for ordinary professionals, this trinket trade has to be in your blood (and rely on some RU-vid revenues.)
@@j_freed ??? Just look at the valuable ones and sell them as a lot. If all cards are valued at $500 then post the lot for $400 and wait. If I had $50,000 worth of Pokémon cards I'd just post a picture of them all and put them up for $40,000.
Man... this is so nostalgic... I was a little collector when I was a kid in the 1980's didn't even open the boxes most of the time because I worked as a kid doing chores for neighbors to get money so I could buy them. I mostly had G1 Transformers and Ninja turtles but I also had a lot of the toys and cards you showed here, i.e The He-Man toy. Unfortunately my family had to suddenly move to Germany due to my mothers side of the family and my brother ended up selling my dog and everything in our storage due to his addictions. I never got to see any of my things again nor my dog. I know I'll never be able to regain my childhood, hold and play with my toys or my dog ever again but watching you look through these places is like digging up long lost childhood memories, diggin up some tears along with them haha. It was fun to watch. Thanks Froggy.
Sad some of the crap that kids go through. Hope you have been able to sort things out in your head. Loosing a pet is horrible as an adult and worse as a child. ❤
The very first garage sale makes me want to go back out and hit more garage sales again! Thrift stores can’t compete with that quality at those prices!!!
Yeah I was reading through some of your guys comments. He does seem like a really good guy. Especially giving away brand new items to total strangers in a Walmart parking lot 👍👍
I sincerely hope you realize this was a Blessing from God, specifically FOR YOU !!! It was no coincidence or any amount of good luck that made this happen. You told the gentleman in the video “thanks for dragging the stuff out for you to look at and it being perfect timing”. I couldn’t agree more with the “timing” comment. You were RIGHT where you needed to be RIGHT when you needed to be there! Also…the SPECIFIC ITEMS that pulled at your heart strings when you found them also reaffirms this was a spiritual moment (not just a money making moment). Thanks to The Good Lord. You’re a Good Man and living a righteous life. It brought me so much joy to see your blessing (miracle) b/c you were so excited and thankful for what you ended up with! Thanks for sharing your video!
I used to love doing yard/garage/storage sales with my Grandmother in the 70's to 80's after early mass. Always came home with some really cool toys...at the time I had no clue at values. We once found a complete non-played with set of the 12" GI Joe and Planet of the Apes figures along with quite a few of the play sets. Should have kept them un-played with :)
Everyone has that thought now but the whole reason these things have value is that people played with them making memories, cherish those memories and now are nostalgic. If nobody played with them there would be an abundance of complete sets and no demand for them. I think it's way more awesome to have played with and enjoyed them.
This took me back to the good old days in the states, where me and my family will go around the area and search for yard sales every weekend. I really like this kind of secondhand shopping spree, I like Goodwill and Salvation Army as well.
Im not sure why youtube recommended this video to me, but DAMN am i happy it did. That was amazing to watch and extremely motivating honestly as its something I wanted to get into for a while (i of course know this is an extremely rare exception but would be nice to see a few collectables and either build my collection or make a small bit of profit.) You also have amazing character which is easily shown by you offering fair deals / willing to pay more than the guy asked since you knew you was getting good deals and also giving the kid $10. Well deserved sub honestly. Keep it up
Thanks so much, I really appreciate that! This was definitely a good find…but you’d be surprised how many deals are out there if you spend 3-4 hours every Friday or Saturday morning. Good luck, bro!
Omg awesome finds bro I remember years And years ago me and a friend went to a storage auction and won a unit for 200bucks and inside was loads of boxes full of 1970s action figures in original packaging that hadn't been opened. And we sold the contents for 75k it was such an amazing feeling. 👏
@@FroggyFlips it was so amazing cause everyone just thought it was a load of old boxes 📦 but my friend happened to spot something in one that looked like a toy so we took the gamble while no on else did and it paid of.
I’m binge watching your videos. I am just amazed at the prices. Usually when I go to a flee market, or garage sale, I can’t find these prices. This is addicting to watch. Thank you 🤗👍🏽👏🏽 📺
It's a fun hobby, I do estate sales sometimes, but you really have to know what to keep an eye out for because there's just so much little off the wall stuff that people will pay for. The coolest find I've ever had was an original redline Hotwheel car in the package. It was a purple Barracuda.
RU-vid recommendations giving me something I never thought I’d be interested in, but here I am, now subscribed and about to watch another video of yours😆
@@zthreetwo9874 I had a Gameboy Advance my brother gave me when I was a kid and I sold it in a garage sale a few years ago with all my games. I'm so upset I did that I regret it a lot. As a kid when I sold it I didn't realize how much I would regret it when I was older
The vintage shirts you picked up in the beginning was a complete steal! Gotta get up myself and go to some Garage sales, wow. Scored a 200$ shirt easy with that nascar all over print tee
Hey Froggy, great finds there. I'm a big card collector and have been collecting since age 5, I'm 37 now. Those screw down cases are nothing but trouble, they are known to cause issues with paper loss and overall damage to the cards. I'd suggest taking them out and putting them in a 35pt one touch with a penny sleeve on the top to protect the surface. Top loaders are also good for protection but don't display as nice. Just a tip / heads up. Great finds on the ADAM Bombs, you've definitely made your money back and then some there.
I was just at the dump unloading my trailer early this morning. The person next to me had a uhaul truck full of cards of all types rookie cards signed all cool must of been about 2-3 tons on cards. Sadly I had to head out, no time to look 🥴
You collect Pokémon cards cause iv got some that I don’t think I could ever find again and I have some condition wise that you can’t even find anymore iv valued cards on what iv seen sold in close condition to what I have for 2500 it could be way better cause iv seen some of the cards I have bring psa 10 grades that mine is better condition and goes for like 3k alone and for the misprint of a misprint card I valued at reg price of the regular misprint price of 450 the extra misprint tho with swirl should be valued if I had to guess just by looking at misprint cards I’d say probably like 1k for that card I’m trying to sell everything so I can have some money to go move to Florida so I can get my paperwork done and get to Canada eventually just need to be able to do all paperwork I’m from Florida so it would be easiest to do it their
I think there’s enough profit to be made that you can keep the cards and still make a decent profit. At some point, it would be really cool if you could make a follow up video with profits.
What an amazing haul! The foreign Garfield comics are actually from Greece, published in the mid-90's if im not mistaken. Cool how they made it all the way there. :D
Nice haul! I had to giggle because he kept bringing more stuff out to you. Thankfully you came prepared with cash! And the Garbage Pail Kids cards! Sweet! I loved those as a kid as well! Congrats on all your good finds!
I don't understand a damn thing about any of this "nerdy" stuff but I do understand money and sentimental value, this was a real neat experience, thanks my guy!🙏
I know all kids have their moments, but it's really hard to believe that Elliott misbehaves very often. He is so well mannered, considerate, soft-spoken, thoughtful & polite! I get it though, even if it's only once a month, if you can deter it with a "Timeout" chair than it was a $1 well spent!!
The first video of yours I’ve seen and you are such a good guy. You have my respect and by the looks of it hundreds of thousands more. Such an honest hard working dude.
Great haul! I still have some Series 1 Garbage Pail Kids cards from my youth. For the Adam Bomb and Blasted Billy, I would take them out of the screw down holders and put them in One Touch magnetic holders, as screw downs can damage cards, and these being stickers, might cause the sticker to lift off the backing when you take them out.
Divide the sets out. They’re easy to figure out on eBay. They can be wrapped or unwrapped, sort and sell over the winter while things are slower. Easy money!
Tried selling my Fantasy of the Crystal chess set about 5 years ago. Listed it for $75 (based off resale values of $100+) Got one offer for $30. Going to hold onto it and eventually set it up to display. It's really a beautiful set.

I think this was a fair deal for both sides. Obviously selling every single item will net a lot more money, but that also requires a LOT of time and energy. Sorting through things, listing them, packaging them, driving out and getting them shipped out. Not everyone has the time or energy to deal with that. The seller even mentioned how he sold some stuff on eBay and that there was some decent stuff in there, but it became a hassle. He passed the hassle onto someone else and made a little money in the process. It's a win-win situation. I'm sure he was glad to get the space in his garage and a little cash in his wallet and it looks like you made out well, too.
Congrats on the GPK finds. I was buying them up in the late 90's-2015 but rarely came across series 1 or 2. I have thousands of them. I got all series 3-15
Absolutely has to be the best finds I've seen u get since I started watching. I also loved the 🗑️ Garbage Pail kids 🗑️ cards. U got some gems there for sure!!! Congrats 👏🥳
Holy shit! I still have all my garbage pale kids cards at my mom’s house. You just made my heart jump into my throat! Everyone of those first series I know I have and then some.
The whole concept of yard sales feels like a win win situation where on one hand you make some money even if it's not much, on the other hand you're selling stuff that you don't give any use to, plus you clean up your house which is a great relief and ultimately a form of gaining back some health
Mannnn, I’m so jealous of your garbage kids cards. I always keep an eye out for them when I’m hoping back and forth to yard sales but have never found any in my 8 years. I always get hopeful when looking.
The price of the stuff from the first garage sale astounds me. Here in Australia, those vintage tees could easily sell for $50 each, lots of the other stuff on the rack could have sold for $30 easily.
I guess it's all about how much you value your time. If you wanna go through everything you own when you move you might wanna spend that time, but some people would rather get rid of it all in a weekend and use that to rent the truck
yeah that lady was definitely under prcing everything. In this day and age in the US I'd be happy to pay a dollar per baseball cap/shirt. You could resell those for easily 10 bucks each, and those vintage shirts like you said could go for a lot more. Or, you get a bunch of clothes for a buck each lol
What a great haul. I'm still waiting to run into a sale like that one of these days. The kind that make you say "Do you accept electronic payment?" Lol
I had one this year. Stumbled across a sale that hadn't been advertised on Craigslist. Tons of PS2 games (yawn), tons of Xbox 360 games (yawn), tons of Gamecube games and a console (I"LL TAKE THEM ALL HOW MUCH???) Had to drive to an ATM and get cash. Selling the last games now. Had the best ones resurfaced. I should get about 8x what I paid.
