When I travelled alone through Italy a month and a half ago I met someone very special. We randomly talked for whole six hours on a rooftop in Milano and connected very well. The next day I had to go to Florence and he travelled to germany. While in Florence we texted a little bit and both of us wanted to meet again. So he decided to come back to Italy for me to go to Rome together the next day. Obviously I was super happy and excited to see him again and to spend five full days in Rome together. That was crazy because we literally met for a few hours one night but I trusted him. I remember being so so happy when he arrived! This is just the beginning of our story because the next day we spontaniously decided to go to Amalfi to swim in the ocean for a day which turned out to be a 3 days trip and then I decided to come to germany with him instead of going to Venice. The days spend together turned out to be the most beautiful and happy ones and he is truly a so wonderful person to be around. After these two weeks he sadly had to go to Asia again for university and family. And I live in germany. Now we're sadly apart until next year but we both know we will make it together. I love my grandpa. People always view him as stubborn and careless person, kind of like a main character from the book A Man Called Ove. He was a unaffectionate father to my mom like he never said i love you to her. But ever since I was a child, he always cared for me so much and love me in his own unique way. He would always sit me down next to him and show me pictures of mountains he took from his previous hiking trips every time I visited him. At first I wasn't interested and wonder why he had to show me so many nature pictures which looked all the same to me lol. But hearing from my mom, my grandmother, and my aunts, that was his way of communicating with me and trying to teach me things that were valuable to him. I love that I'm his favorite grandchild and I love how he tries to hide his excitement when I go visit him. I haven't seen him in years since I moved to different country. But I get to see him next year so I'm very very excited. My mom and my dad split when I was young but she took the responsibility and raised my sisters and myself as a single parent and never relied on anyone else. Idk if my dog would count but he makes me so happy. He is a 6 year old shih tzu and I feel so grateful to have him. Two years ago he went through a ruff period where he got really sick, it was pretty bad. I remember one day they attached a blood bag to him that we had to keep changing. He was in so much pain he was constantly crying and he didn't want us to touch him but he still wanted us to be close to him, it really broke my heart. The doctors didn't know why he was suffering until they accidentally found out while giving him surgery. Turns out there was a thin bone like thing in his body and they think it got there because he must've been digging his face in grass and it must've went in. After he recovered he was so happy like his old self again. I love him so much and I'm so happy and grateful that he is ok. So yeah, I LOVE dogs, especially my dog of course :)) insta is kavsrandom

Something I love about my brother is that he’s my best friend and he’s so genuine, loving, caring, and kind. He’s eleven years older than me and normally with an age distance like that siblings don’t tend to be that close but we’re inseparable. I was home alone & decided to broil nachos for dinner (because it sounded easy lol). I was watching the Kardashian’s waiting for them to cook and after a while turned around to see black smoke escaping the oven... I opened the door and a huge flame escaped. So panicked I ran to my neighbors house & burst through their front door screaming “my house is on fire!!!!!” (Very dramatic I know). I don’t remember much after that other than them leaving their family dinner and filing in one by one to help clear the smoke & stop the fire... about 5 minutes later once I began to calm, the grandma (who apparently was there for family dinner) walked in the house saying “don’t worry, I called them... I called the police”... sure enough not one but two fire trucks pulled up to my house with about 5 guys frantically running to help. I was SO embarrassed that all I could do is cry 🤣 stupid chips & cheese was SUCH a bad idea!!! Anyways, I love my neighbors.. they don’t judge me for my stupidity 🤣🙌🏻
I spent a lot of time caring for my grandfather before he passed away and we'd always just sit and read the newspaper together each morning. We were very similar and had a close bond, but prior to him getting sick I hadn't been able to see him as much as I would have liked. So I'll always be so thankful that I was able to care for him and get that extra time spent with him. Also, congratulations on your wedding!

Living away from home it's always nice to come back once in a while and see my family and friends. When my nieces were born I experienced a new level of love. I guess no one can truly explain why babies or children can make us laugh even when our world is falling apart. Now, for a story: My best friend Hailey is someone I have always been close with. We have known each other for about 17 years and have only grown cloer over that time. She is a huge inspiration to me, as she fights all of the plights that come with Hyperthyroidism. We both have severe mental health illnesses (depression and anxiety) that we deal with daily, and watching her overcome the things she has overcome is truly inspiring. I love her sooo much and can't imagine a world in which she didn't exist. No one should have to grow up without a best friend. Congratulations on your wedding, your love is infectious. My mom has always been my best friend. There are endless stories that come to mind when I think about how much I love my mom, but one that stands out is her and I driving me to college. I was crying so hard because I didn't want to say goodbye to her, but I knew I was ready. She has been there for me through the ups and downs. She has been there for me when I was having chemo treatments for 3 years, to even now. On the car ride up there we went through moments of laughter and just thinking about everything we have gone through up to that point. We even cried together, because we were playing our favorite songs through the years of her raising me. I would not be the person I am today with out her. I will never be able to repay here ever for everything she has done. It truly is quite beautiful how many different ways we can love in the world. I am the only girl child and I have no male cousins, so growing up my mother and I have been inseparable. All throughout high school I would constantly cancel on plans and I would really never do anything because I know my mom would get sad without me being there so i would always stay. Although i kind of missed out on high school experiences I am so glad to have gained the bond with her. One day she won't be here but friends and memories are forever to come so I always choose her. When I turned 20 i finally started going out and doing more things and our relationship weakened which was super hard on us both. Now that I'm almost 21 i have started spending more time with her again and it reminded me why i did it all of those years. She makes me a better person daily and I think that is super important to be around someone like that if your friends are not doing that for you. I love my best friend so much, we’ve been friends for almost 5 years and we’ve become pretty much inseparable. She’s kind, loving, and is always there for me when I need her. She’s always there to listen when I’m going through something and she knows exactly what to say to make me feel better. She knows me better than I know myself and I honestly could not live without her💕
I know it’s a common answer but she was the first thing that came into my mind when you said to comment a story about someone I love. I love my mom so much. I’m an only child so I’ve never experienced what it’s like to have any sisters but my mom is like a whole package. She’s my mom, my sister, and of course my friend. She had me when she was young, while she was in university and I’m so thankful that she gave up her time in school to focus on me. For someone to give up their dreams to focus on raising someone is a big deal and I look up to women who do that. Once I was big enough my grandma took care of me and my mom went back to school. She and I always had always loved children. She became a teacher and I’m finally on my way to become a paediatrician, I’m not sure which field but I knew from the beginning I was meant to do this especially because I love kids and I wanna help and teach them as much as I can. I’m starting university in the winter, I live in Calgary and in a few years I’ll be moving to Vancouver to finish school. I was extremely scared of moving into a different province all by myself but my mom helped me push through to follow my dreams. I could write a whole essay about how much I love and look up to my mom but I’ll end it here. A small story about someone I love is my sister - who is also my best friend. My sister is five years older than I and growing up, we've always been together. Of course, we've always had our ups and downs but no one understands us like we do because we have gone through all of the hard moments in our lives together. My sister and I lost 3 of our grandparents in such a short time span not too long ago. My sister is just about the nicest person I know apart from my mom and she pretty much is like a second mom too. When I was dealing with my depression in the time I lost my loved ones, I was ignorant to a lot of things. Two months ago, we lost my uncle who was like a second dad. The friends I thought would be there for me weren't and I wasn't in a good place. That is when I thought about everything in my life and realized that my sister was truly my best friend in the world. Being young and at times immature and too caught up with everything else, I did not see that my sister was a real one. She has never backstabbed me and she always sacrificed so many things for me just so that I could feel better in the toughest of moments. She always bought me Harry Potter things so that I could find a smile in moments of stress and pain. She always gave me rides as a kid without a license and still does whenever I need it. She is everything. When my uncle died, she took charge of everything and didn't allow herself to grieve so that she could make sure everything was handled with the funeral and everything else. one person I love very much is my sister. We're only two years apart but I remember growing up we weren't very close. It was my senior year of high school and for my public speaking class, we were tasked to write a speech about someone we admire. And of course, I waited until the last minute to write it so I quickly wrote it about my sister. I made it super sappy and added some funny stories to make it interesting. The next day I got up and started presenting my speech and as soon as I started talking I started crying in front of my whole class (most embarrassing thing to do I know). My best friend that I got so so close with in college actually went to the same high school as me. We reached out to each other our freshman year and our first awkward hang out just blossomed into such a wonderful friendship everyday! And honestly in our junior year of college, we both are so thankful to have each other everyday. We are housing together off-campus and every time one of us comes home we peek out of our bedroom knowing it's the other. My best friend is always there for me for anything and she has taught me so much in how to be a better person. I honestly love her so much, even though she is such high maintenance sometimes. Me and my grandma can go to Marshall’s for hours. We talk and laugh and kid and spray perfume in the air and smell it. One particular time I loved was a few weeks ago. We first went into the scarf section and looked in the mirror as we had our scarves strewn across our shoulders. We drifted towards the stationary section of writing utensils and diaries and such. I spent about 30 minutes picking the right journal and she took about 5. That’s what I love about us, she’s fast and I take a longer time to decide so she balances me out. We soon came toward the coat section and she tried on full on winter coats as it wasn’t even fall yet. We made our way towards the sweaters/ ponchos. We tried on ponchos that we loved and I was walking around and found a chair in home section. She found me an adidas sweatshirt that we decided to get instead but I was in love with that chair. My mom is the someone I love. I am the only girl child and I have no male cousins, so growing up my mother and I have been inseparable. All throughout high school I would constantly cancel on plans and I would really never do anything because I know my mom would get sad without me being there so i would always stay. Although i kind of missed out on high school experiences I am so glad to have gained the bond with her. One day she won't be here but friends and memories are forever to come so I always choose her. When I turned 20 i finally started going out and doing more things and our relationship weakened which was super hard on us both. Now that I'm almost 21 i have started spending more time with her again and it reminded me why i did it all of those years. She makes me a better person daily and I think that is super important to be around someone like that if your friends are not doing that for you.
