Being involved in a fight on a cruise ship should be a minimum of $1k fine, charged with assault, and banned for life from that cruise line. There's no excuse for this BS. People have paid a lot of money to be on a cruise. I have to laugh when people complain about Carnival limiting alcoholic drinks to 15. This video is why they limit you. SMH....

Just got off of Celebration Sunday. It was quite crowded, with long lines, but everyone was very friendly and civil . That is how it should be. The people involved in the brawl on the Paradise should not be allowed on any ship again as they cannot or will not control their own bad behavior.

As a 72 year old experienced cruiser who has never cruised on Carnival I don't get it. Is it because cruises are less expensive and shorter cruises. What could possibly get people so angry. I am almost sure alcohol consumption is a huge factor. Need bigger fines and Jail time

I am your age and cruise often on different lines .however the only time i had a issue was on Norwegian when a drunk woman was obnoxious. She was trying to start with me and i walked away not going to let a fool like her get me removed from my trip.however if i would have seen her off the ship it would have been a whole different story. Lol. You would have seen hands thrown.i am old but fiesty.😁😁😁😤😤😤

I agree with Carnival’s policy on fighting. The ‘hope’ would be that the former passengers would learn from this experience and choose to walk away IF they cruise a different cruise line in the future.

Absolutely.. they should be shared across the board.. going with family and having your kids be around this behavior is crazy!! I don’t take my family to witness this behavior, if I wanted them to see that I’d take them to MMA or WWE matches.. not sure why people seem to think this is ok.. just flat out stupidity!!

I had a trip booked in 2018 to the eastern carribian then 5 hurricanes hit. We were rerouted to a mexico rout. I never wanted to go to mexico. But that turned out to be one of the funest trips ever! Don't ever be upset over things you can't control. It could turn out to be the best time of your life! BTW just got back from an eastern island and its was wonderful too, and much safer. 😁

If this people fighting like this on an airline they would be charged federal felony and fined big time and banned from the airline for life What people don't understand is a cruise ship is a form of regulated transportation. It's going to have a huge impact on the amount of cruisers but not because they are showing the true cost, but because people can't afford life anymore and cruises 🚢 will be one of the first things people give up.

The cruise lines should come up with a universal list for anyone banned just like the faa has a no fly list. It looks like it happened late night so maybe cut the alcohol and partying to an earlier time 🤔 This happens outside of every nightclubs late night on land..there is always a group of fools making noise for whichever reason so maybe the fun needs to be cut a little earlier than the usual. At the end of the day it falls back on your upbringing. We need to strive to raising our kiddos a little better for the future.

The other day I posted on another cruise guru's website that the crowd I cruise with would make Ronald Reagan look like a long haired hippee. Then the video of this fight went viral. I've been on several Carnival cruises, and I have never witnessed anything like this. (Knock wood!)

These people are one of the reasons why the prices will go up and I will never cruise on Carnival. The shorter less expensive cruises tend to attract this type of crowd.

Agreed, We do sail on Carnival but try to sail on the longer sailings. No 3 or 4 day cruises for us, for this reason.

I do like the pricing change for its intended purpose. I’ve found that sooooooo many that are looking at ‘vacation’ costs; including cruises; that they don’t really look or understand the total cost involved. This change helps those who don’t do the research that travel agents and ‘crazy researchers’ like me😂 At the same time, it does require more time to drill in to identify cost changes. That’s fine for me as I’m just looking at mine, but I can only imagine the exponential increase in time cost to you and other agents.

This is an indication of the times we live in. Inhave worked for cruise lines for 20 years and the amount of fights and the violent nature is th fault of the individuals. Too much violence in our world. Creeps into everything including vacation.

I have a question though…. In the video they separate them and send them on their way. I don’t see anyone actually escorted by a security team member…. So how are they fined and banned if they just separate them and let them go?

Potentially missing price drops is a near term issue. Long term, transparent pricing will lead to lower prices and fewer surcharges. It certainly did with the airline industry. Although, my worry is that cruise lines (like airlines) will start including even less with your cruise fare in order to show lower prices.

beryl is supposed to be down to 65 mph once it get into gulf of mexico due to windshear , saharan dust, and going over land masses...hopefully the forecast is a good one

I thought people who spent a lot of money to go on a cruise would want no incidences like this. These people should be banned from all Carnival Corporation Cruise Lines. Carnival's competitors should also ban those that fight on the ship. Itineraries may changed for safety purposes. Cruise lines should include how much it would cost with all costs included.
