I spent a week in Poti, Georgia when I was in the USN. Great people, great food. Had a good time there. We were on a special deployment in the Black Sea and spent an entire summer hitting Turkey, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Romania and Georgia. One of the best deployments in my 25 year navy career.

"Georgian food is one of the most underrated and tastiest on Earth". Absolutely agree! Happiliy here in St. Petersburg we have many nice Georgian restaurants. But once I would like to visit Georgia again and enjoy the original food. But not only food. It is a lovely country with a great culture and very nice people.

Wow, I can feel the peace of Georgia, lemonade with tarragon, bottled, how interesting. Pomegranate on top, how unusual, in Mexico they have a famous dish, creamy, topped with pomegranate, loved this program. The Siberia one made me depressed! Excellent!!!!

Some of the best Georgian restaurants I've been to were in Ukraine, oddly. Amazing food! I spent a week in Tbilisi and just couldn't find a restaurant that blew me away. Maybe I just went to the wrong places, though. If anyone has some recommendations for my next trip, I'd love to hear, because I do love Georgian food! :)

I used to play Eve ( spreadsheets in space!) with a guy called "vikinge". He was from Tbilisi, and was studying in France. Every time I logged in we would talk about his home, the people, but mostly the food! I think he might have been homesick from time-to-time. That was when all we talked about was food! He taught me about Georgian wines ( the oldest viniculture on Earth) and teas! Your video has put faces ( well, plates?) to names, and I am so happy! Thank you!

@@MattandJulia but I could see it seemed overbaked and made via oil and its wrong way of doing it. When i see the colour of mchadi i can tell whether its tasty or not and i can definitely say first mchadi looked awful

Love and appreciate your videos. I’m heading for to Tbilisi next month myself. What was the name of the restaurant you went to close to the end of the video and which area of Tbilisi is it located? Also, why are the restaurants only take away only on Saturdays? Is that due to Covid or is it that a normal, cultural, Georgian thing?

Thank you so much, you will love it 😊 The resutarant is called, Pasanauri, it is near Freedom Square 😊 It was a Covid thing, finished now though 🙌🙌🙌
