HUGE GUINEA PIG VLOG | failed bonding, supplies haul, & pet room rearranging🐽✨ 

Hi everyone! I edited this video with a new editing program so I apologize if this video is edited poorly and awkwardly (hence the 3 seconds of black screen at the beginning). The quality also looks weird and I'm not sure how to fix it but I will figure it out for the next video! This video took me days to edit and I hope you guys enjoy!!

As sad as I am the bonding between Kevin, pumpkin and spice didn’t work, it gave me a lot of insight into what to look out for when I try again with my girls. I haven’t had any tornadoes the first time I tried so I’m hoping it’ll work the second 🤞🏻also Kevin’s hay nest was so cute I love when mine do that!!

I love when you have 40-50 minute videos! They are always entertaining and I like having them playing while I do animal chores 😄

So I have two boys and they seemingly randomly started fighting with each other in a similar way that Mocha and Latte are (but for different reasons) and one of the most helpful things I have found that has prevented them from fighting again is “honoring the hierarchy” in a way. My oldest is the dominant so I “honor” that by giving him treats first, letting him explore free roam/new clean cage first or giving him general attention first. I didn’t do this before but doing this has honestly helped me deal with their teenage years and preserving their bond. I hope this helps!!!! ❤️❤️❤️🥰

I appreciate the fact that you included the bonding even though it wasn’t a good match. I rescued a pig one year ago today, she’s been alone her entire life and I’m soon attempting to find her a pal. This taught me some signs to watch out for. All of your pigs are sooo cute!

Hi. I've only recently found your channel but I have guinea pigs myself and have had for about 15 years now. I've found the best bonding technique ever is to separate the piggies with cubes in a c&c cage, so they can still smell and see each other, and then leave the set up like that for however long depending on the pigs. I had the most aggressive pig ever once (I think she'd been neglected/abused) and she would attack any pig near her and even try to jump over the cube to attack my two other piggies. I had to keep them separate for around two months, but after that time I removed the separating cubes and there was no rumbling, no jumping,no fighting. I think I cried. The three pigs then lived a happy and peaceful life! And I've tried the technique since then with other pigs and it works every single time. X

Besides the fact that the bondings didn't work out, this was my favorite video of yours! I loved how it played out. I know that all of this waiting is hard, but you will find the right one for mr.Kevin!

I order bathmats from Amazon and they last the whole week (and don't really smell when I go to change my enclosures) and they are the size of a midwest cage. They are a game changer for me.

I relate so much to the struggle of trying to bond piggies. For the first time in almost a decade I have a single piggy, because she is just So picky about who she lives with. I have tried to match her up with 3 different pigs and each time she has been very aggressive. Because I'm in Scotland, there aren't very many rescues near me, and none that will let you introduce pigs before adopting, especially since I refuse to adopt from the SSPCA because I've had bad experiences with adopting pigs from them before. Because of that it's a nightmare getting her a friend, as I can't just adopt a bunch of sows in the hopes she'll like one. I'm planning on starting a herd next year when I move into my new place as I'll have a lot more space, so I figure I'll try to bond her with each sow as they come in, and hopefully then she will take to one. I know she Can live with other pigs safely as she did so successfully with one of my pigs for about a year, but I guess when her cage mate died she decided no other piggy was as good as her first friend.

Emotional video..I’m sorry you’re having a difficult time with your babies, but I’m so glad Mocha & Latte are back to normal!! ❤️‍🩹 Kevin will either find his perfect buddy or he’ll just be a happy loner pig 🤪 I’ve had several single boars living happily side by side over the years! It actually took about 3 years for my current pair of brothers to re-bond after some hectic “teenage rivalry” They always got along well during floor time, but became super aggressive if I tried to put them back together in their enclosure..one day I decided to just take out the grids that separated them, and to my surprise they were instant bffs again..it was crazy! At this point they are so bonded that when I have to take one of them (Van Gogh) to the vet for teeth trims, the other little guy (Marcel) gets super depressed..it’s heartbreaking 💔 You got this, Alyssa!! Don’t give up hope 🧡🧡🧡 And btw, your pet room is freaking amazing! You could literally charge a fee to have people visit and see what proper pet enclosures are supposed to look like!! 😆♥️ Well done!

I have the same c&c cage for floor time, but when I'm done I fold it up and put it in storage.

I don't think you want to use that metal brush on the fleece. I would use the rubber kind of brush instead. I bought the "Carrand 93112 Lint and Hair Removal Brush" on Amazon it works pretty good.

Introduce spice and Kevin on there own without pumpkin and when things settle down put them back in there cage for about 10 - 30 minutes and then try again, but you have to make sure u put them back in there cage as soon as things settle otherwise they'll get too stressed out causing more fighting xx

I have rats, I know they’re different than guinea pigs, but something I use to help with bonding is putting some imitation vanilla on their bum and back when introducing them. It helps make them all smell the same and reduces territorial aggression.

One of my friends had to guinea pigs and my blankets so went to the shop and I got them blankets and toys just to help them out and I said I'll be there for every time they need me

i had the same problem i was looking for another addition to my hear and when i was at the shelter Ozzie was being so domanint with ther others it was not the best desison but we tried about 7 diffrent pairs of guinea pig and solo pigs

Maybe you could try to bond Kevin with a baby guinea pig? He could perceive the baby as a less of a threat than an adult, since baby guinea pigs are so small. This could maybe work out better than bonding him with an older guinea pig, plus the baby would probably be submissive to Kevin.

Loved this video! I just subbed! And yes that is a horse brush! It’s for getting the dirt and mud of of them and deshedding them in the spring. Also don’t be scared of them they are fabulous animals! Some can be young and unpredictable but most of them are gentle! I have 2 horses myself.

Maybe instead of trying to bond kevin with two guinea pigs that are already bonded try and bind kevin with another guinea pug that hasnt bonded with other pigs

I don’t know what your garbage situation is where you live. But where I am you can compost the soiled hay. I’m in Canada and all animal bedding can be composted, cat litter, paper bedding from small animals, and hay. Something to look into maybe? 😊

Does anybody have tips on how to bond with guinea pigs? I had mine for 5 months already and there still scared of me.
