We are Katie, Bob and JoJo (11), a family of 3 sharing our van life with you! We also have 2 older kids - Sam (24) and Jamie (22), and their respective partners Emily and Aden, and Jamie's daughter - our granddaughter Astrid!

Tropical holiday tip (or any holiday, really)...get to your location and get the beach toys (like a boogie board) and other items at a local thrift/reused store -- usually WAY less expensive than bringing them and save luggage space. I live in a beach community in Florida and most of those items can be found at my Goodwill. Also, many AirBnb or private condominium rentals come with beach toys for the guests to use for free.

Thanks for the tip! It's such a good idea! We need to remember this for next time! We did something similar years ago when we went skiing in Lake Tahoe, a friend told us to go to the thrift store and get our skiing gear, then re-donate it at the end of our holiday which is what we did! It must have saved us a fortune!! 💚🤗

Oooh can’t wait to see where you’re going! I love how the snacks are essential! I’m the same snacks are the first priority 😂 especially with the prices in airports! Lunch boxes/bags can be useful on holiday too for storing left overs to bringing food out on a day trip! 😊❤️

I think that’s hilarious. 4 years being a long time for you. I went on my first international holiday in 20 years last December. Took me 4 years of saving as a single parent and I took my two teen sons to Disneyland in California/ Universal/ San Diego ……etc. I know many people who have never been overseas.

Another fantastic video Family Freedom. Home Bargains is an excellent store when it comes to prices. I also like B&M Home Stores with garden centre so both B&M and Home Bargains are my favourite discount stores beside Lidl and Aldi. Love 🥰the video and love 💞Family Freedom.
