HUGE HOME DECLUTTER! | I Didn't Realise It Was This Bad!! 

Absolutely love this, so much more relatable and realistic (to me anyway) than most other declutter videos where they basically just get rid of PR packages. And we are not judging you for your Monica closet, we all have somewhere that we stash random things and think oh wow when did it get this full. So motivating!

Girl EVERYONE has a "Monica closet" in one way or another. (We call ours "the garage", so sad!) I loved watching this because you were keeping it REAL and not trying to sell anything or pretend. Refreshing! As a side note, I'm American and your accent is lovely to listen to. :) I have a small house and this has motivated me to go attack my hall closet today! Cheers!

I know you did this months ago but I have to say how realistic you are in showing what a great person you are and how difficult it can be to keep our belongings under control. You have motivated me to go through some things that I have been putting off. I have a dresser in my bedroom that I have not a clue what is there and most of it has not been touched in years so that stuff can be trashed. In my kitchen I have absolutely got to go through all of my spices and get rid of probably at least a third of. My main problem is having severe pain as well as chronic fatigue syndrome which means that I have to get really realistic about how much I can fully do in one day at a time.

This video makes me realize how far I've come in decluttering in the past 2 years. Example, I only have a handful of makeup products now.

I personally don't have a spending envelope in my budget for this reason. If I really need something I have to actually budget for it. This way clutter stays outside my house. So wasteful to just buy stuff instead of experiences. Great video 👍 you got this 💜

No need to feel embarrassed Jess! We all have a lot of cupboards like this but OMG it’s so satisfying when you go through it 😆 De cluttering is one of my goals fir this year too xx

I feel like its so theraputic to do a good clear out but also Im usually always gobsmacked with how much sh*t I appear to have that I dont use thats just stored everywhere too! 😂

Decluttering taught me that you literally NEVER need more makeup. I havnt bought makeup for 2 years now because i dont allow myself to anymore. I have 5 foundations, no i dont need to "try" a new one!

Love a good declutter I did this in lockdown with my kitchen cupboards and have storage boxes in them now labelled so much easier to find things! Love it 😊 xx

So refreshing watching someone in the UK decluttering. You totally described all my hiding places & my "Monica cupboard". You've done an amazing job. Inspired me to have a go at getting rid of some tomorrow. I hate taking things into charity shops. Today I picked up 5 more items of clothing for my 3 year old. Does he need them... No. I just had to look whilst I was there. Would be so much easier to do a drive by, drop off like in the USA. Thanks for sharing.

I just cleaned out my drawers yesterday. I put everything on my bed too. I couldn’t believe all the stuff I had too. I feel better about throwing things out too. I love your channel.

Noones judging cause were all here for the very same reason! Things get out of hand in our homes and noone likes to admit it or deal with it. You've admitted it and filmed it for us and you did great tackling that!!

You could put a reminder in your phone for 1st December that you have Christmas bedding you can put on (and where you stored it) then you'll get to use it next year!

I've thrown a lot of stuff out filled 5 bin liners for the Charity shop some clothes with labels still on and a lot of stuff out of the kitchen now to start on the room. Happy New Year sweetheart 🥰 xxx

I declutted my garden on New Year's eve took the broken patio chairs and a broken line to the tip so much space now in my garden wonderful x

Great job !! 💕 I have started this year too cleaning out everything, got stuff that’s been in closets or in totes for 20 years or more ., WHY ??? Why am I keeping this crap ?!? The trash man is going to hate me in the next few months .. but it’s ok .. it’s out of my house ! I’m just sick & tired of keeping stuff I don’t need or I don’t use .. it’s crazy 😜 But it feels so much better getting it out & having the extra room to use for things I really need .

It's a great feeling when you declutter, so far I have done 1 cupboard in my kitchen, but need to do all my clothes there are packed of stuff I don't wear and I keep buying more why?? great vlog give me the go to start cleaning out everything xx

I just took down the trees and decorations and put them all away. My little house feels huge at the moment. I find when I come back from Christmas trying to find spots for my new items etc makes me reorganize and declutter. It feels so good to have it done but there is definitely a darkest before the dawn moment when there are no words to explain….

Thank you for sharing. It couldn't be easy to show everyone your Monica closet. But your bravery makes me want to check around for my Monica space. I do declutering every six months or so, but the stuff keeps growing back. No matter how good I get at one place, there is always a cupboard that has at least few things that I don't need anymore.

Great declutter. A suggestion: get a bik to hold your seasonal stuff like your christmas Halloween eetc so it is all together and u can find your fake blood and spiderebs:)

I have to tackle the downstairs room in my house...the upstairs is great, but the down stairs....it needs love.

Please empty those make up containers and bring them to sephora.They have a recycling campaign in most stores.The same goes for bottles made of glass for make up perfumes etc.

Congratulations on a job well done, it totally happens we get busy and things pile up you got through and didn’t let it keep going which is important it’s like spring cleaning 😉

Definitely no judging... just relating. I feel that most people have a Monica Closet of some sort where they just shove things and forget about them. As far as the toothfairy box, you should get a clear plastic tub and start making a memory box, keep all those things from childhood and any other sentimental items that you don't really want to part with in it so that you can keep them. Just remember though one tub per person and it has to be able to all fit, if it is overflowing it is time to go through it.

I won’t judge (I haven’t watch the full video), but in my experience if is just me I just have a set of 4 plates of each stile, cups, forks, spoons, mugs and knives. For food storage bowls I do meal prep so one per day and 3 extra that are bigger and 1 smaller for sauce.

Don’t worry; we all are having clutter somewhere😉 it’s about realising and doing something about it-well done !!,

Great video..now that spring is here in Canada, I'm working outside but after seeing your video, i might take time to do some drawers of mine that are junk drawers..your video is really realistic..but fold your sheets and lay them flat and it'll look much neater....good job!

Bet you feel good after all that decluttering. Those beds are good for storage, I may have to invest in one, as our flat has no storage space. I love declutterering now and then but my other half tends to hold on to things. He won't part with a load of DVDs, even though we've seen them over and over and same with his CDs. Jess it is so hard to part with things but sometimes you have to be ruthless. Trust me, I have to work hard at it too but you will feel so much better. Plus, if you return to what you've kept in a few months you might find yourself throwing more. No judgement, I'm as bad lol.

It lated one week then I couldn't be arsed! My Richard has more clothes then me...he is a clothes hoarder... Thanks for this video. It did inspire me to declutter! I'm a new subscriber now! I have one big problem though with decluttering, I worry about wasting things or adding to the landfill. I wonder of those seven bags you took to the trash was any of that stuff donatable? I know you donated the linens to the animal shelter. Thank you for that. I just worry about being wasteful and it makes me freeze with decluttering sometimes.

Good job but.. Shame you are taking it all to the dump and not trying to recycle as much as possible. Tip.. Use bins/boxes for your stuff as physical boundaries. Label them. Then when full, you have to declutter for buying anything new. PS you are definitely not a hoarder! .. You have just let things get out of hand because you do not have any organization, and methods to regularly go through and declutter.
