I think it’s the sense of accomplishment that gets relayed through the videos. Most of our jobs don’t have such a clear cut positive result most days, and we get to see that each time a cow walks better leaving the crush.
I feel some how I have “graduated”....from blackheads, cysts, lipomas, callouses , and where I learned more than I wanted to know about toe fungus .....to watching cow manicures....
The real thing to note, is that a channel with up close HD cow dung and a man getting peed in the face by one, is one of the more wholesome and heartwarming channels on RU-vid. XD
Cows are considered as living gods here in India, I am thankful to you for treating these cows right and making their lives really better....... god bless you my friend!
He is a real hero in today's times. Why? He "burns" for his profession, he wants to explain and make transparent what and why he's doing this or that. He makes one interested in his work. Something I really miss when people trying to get apprentices. They should see his videos to give their offers more incentive. Keep it up!!! A female subscriber from Berlin! 😉
I don’t know what powers brought me to your channel, but I decided “why not” and watched a video. I think I might be 5-7 videos in now lol, and I have subscribed.
Don’t know why I watch these vids, as a city dweller, lol. I grew up on a farm so I guess there’s that but mostly I’m SO impressed with your skill and knowledge. You are very good at what you do.
Lol, cow patties were the best toys ever. When they dry make great frisbees or they are good dodge balls semi dried so you can pack balls from them like you do snow balls :D Guess farm kids just grow up a bit different. Dirt and shit wash, blood dries and wounds heal. Family you have one chance to take care of and be there for, miss it and you'll miss out on the important stuff in life.
I don’t know about you, but I keep watching because Graham is so great! He’s so personable. He gives an interesting education to a topic about which I know nothing. I love how grateful Graham is about his life, how much he loves his family, And especially how much he loves his work and knows he’s living his dream! WELL DONE Hoof. GP👍♥️🤗
I loved the look you got when she was walking away as if she was saying, "Nah, dude. You ain't getting me back in that thing, EVER!" I love that you care about these cattle like they belong to you.
Man I feel like I would need to wash the cows hoofs before doing anything to them Edit: Y’all I understand ! Sometimes he does sometimes he doesn’t. He can’t really do it and all that jazz. I get it now.
There’s no point, as soon as the cow puts its foot back down it’ll be dirty again. Though I do agree i want to wash it too, a good scrub would make it a lot easier to see what you’re looking at.
You mentioned silage. I worked on a research farm straight out of school, looking at different grass species. We made silage and when done some of that stuff was so nice it was difficult to resist gobbling some of it - but we often had to get out of the way of the animals as they rushed it. Definitely the food of choice for sheep.
Too funny! I've been trying to get a recipe for 8yrs because this older woman makes a jam that tastes exactly how good silage smells. I've been begging since she was in her early 80s but no deal. It's a recipe her great grand made 🤤
Stifler -"I got peed on.. ", Graeme -"Tastes a bit lemony, with a hint of oak.." I'm dyin', man!! 😅😆😂😆😂 That sweet lady's got the BEST OF THE BEST caring for her feet, hands down, my friend! Awesome tutorial of the steps you were taking while working on that terrible twist and damaged claw. #LOVETHEHOOFGP 🐄🐮🐂💜
Quite lemony, a hint of oak - 😂😂 what I love about your channel is, your enthusiasm, passion and your smiley outlook on life, just shines through your videos
Hi! Just wanted to let you know that I've noticed someone on Facebook stealing your videos and not crediting you what so ever. I don't remember what page they were but just keep your eye out. They had a few compilations of the "bad hooves". I just dont this k its right for them to take credit from such a lovely and honest person like you. ❤
RU-vid recommended did not disappoint. I have worked around a lot of livestock that we had to euthanize over problems like this. Glad to see there is a solution other than execution. Thank you for what you do and I will gladly subscribe.
Dealing with hooves in an industrialized farm setting must be tough. I'm always struck by how every hoof seems to be coated in feces, so it's not hard to imagine why a defect or crack in a hoof almost always ends up getting infected and causes problems eventually.
I love your channel and what you do! This morning I went on Facebook and seen some girl who ofcourse just wants “clout or fame” reposted this video and tried to shame you for what you were doing? And Ofcourse all the uneducated people hopped on their with their negative uneducated comments. Keep on doing you and keep on helping these beautiful creatures! You’re doing a great job and service! Love the vids!
Good on you for helping the poor girl. I hurt for them when I watch you work on some of your more dramatic cases. Thank goodness there's someone like yourself who can come along and help!!!! 🐄🐮👍💓💛💚💙💜🌈
I've been binge watching your channel for a few months now. I really like how much you CARE about the animals. It's not just a job for you and that is so admirable. The Scottish accent is just a special bonus. :) Keep up the great work. You inspire me to go do the work that would make me happy instead of just doing it for the money. Big hugs from across the pond (USA).
I love these videos but I also love just viewing the country side and imagining all the people just going about their daily lives. The world is large, but also so small. Keep it up from Vancouver BC
That is exactly what I thought too! It looks so magical but the reality is going just as is down there, in the Village.. and you look up and are looking at magic.. Graeme can make magic real and the other way round.. just love it..
I gained a sense of satisfaction watching this man work with his hands the compassion and the relief that he brings to the animal. He has a God given gift. Bravo
I love that I stumbled upon this channel many months ago. I love seeing how you help the cattle and keep them hoof healthy and happy. I really liked that you showed us what has happened with this cow's hoof. I find it extremely interesting. Hopefully you will keep her comfortable and she will have a long life.
You did such a great service to that cow Graeme. I just love how every part of your videos is thought through. The editing, your voice over, from the beautiful ending to the music that is included. Every part is wonderful. Thank you for such great experiences. You live in a wondrous land. ✨
Greame I wanted to tell you thank you for talking James into doing youtube your brother is like you he's amazing I've never seen anything like it you and James are so frecking gifted it's not even funny anyway sending Much love and your whole family and good vibes your way and May God continue to bless you
You’re an amazing individual. Looking at that horrible mess is gross yet you look at it, diagnose the issue, formulate a treatment protocol and the implement it. That’s great stuff. I especially like the concern for the animals comfort and recovery as much as possible. That’s why we visit your channel regularly Graham; because of your empathetic and skillful treatment of the cows. How’s Bessie (812) fairing lately? Haven’t heard much. Thank you. 😎👍🏻
We own a farm and iys all fun til you are milking in a pit and they pee and poop its terrible..but its worth it..alot of people hate Dairy Farmers..we do 100% grass-fed organic our cows are worth about $5,000 each.. the last thing we would do would be abuse our cows.. they can pee and poop on us all day and we still love them
I've just discovered your channel,I'm in so much pain from an infected tooth that I just had a root canal on !! Watching your work with these animals makes me realize I'm not so bad after all 🤗🐄
I should really stop skipping foreward, cause i went from him useing the knife to the entire claw having a red substance covering the hoof and i was just like "oh god what happened"
Definatly appreciate the level of care you proved. I watched a new channel recently that was slightly alarming to me because of the poking a jabbing the trimmer seemed to be doing at a sore in the foot. So much so the the cow reacted every time. Your level of care is so much better in my eyes, so much more full of heart and compassion. Maybe I'm wrong about the other trimmer since I'm not an trimmer or ferrier myself and you're really the only channel I watch of cow hoof trimming. Either way, keep up the great work!! Your videos bring a smile to my face and I'm always happy to see the new ones pop up!❤
I feel so bad for this poor girl imagine how much pain she’s in 😔 but thanks to this sweet sweet man who’s so amazing and helps cows she is all better!
Your work ethic humbles me. Your work is so important and I love to see how well you employ your vast knowledge and expertise to benefit bovine. You are an asset to the industry. I salute you.
It is wonderful to see the work you do, correcting the problems and injuries the cows have developed. Most gratifying for them to be in less pain and discomfort!
Great video. I really liked the explanation with the props of the hoove and calcified bone at the end. Really helps to see the real problem underneath.
Just found your channel. It’s really interesting how different cow and horse hoove care is and in ways similar. It’s fascinating to me to see how you solve problems. I live on my aunts horse farm helping them run it and my aunts BF is a farrier and has been for 30 years or more so I have learned a lot more from him plus we have had a few horses get laminitis and that’s quite a challenge too. That’s also his specialty so it helps. The local vets call him out to clients when they can’t do much but pain relief. Rick usually get the horse more comfortable and teaches Owen how to manage it. It’s also cute you bring your son out to work with you at times. Just watched one before this where you had him along. Cute as a button! Lol smart kid. Thanks for, sharing what you do with the world. I don’t think a lot of people understand how much work (and money) it is to care properly for large animals.
You worked your magic again Graeme. This poor cow must have been so uncomfortable with her hoof in such a bad way. Thank goodness her owner got you on the job to help her out. Another great video as always.
Every time I turn around another of these dang videos by Hoof GP is in my feed. All of my other videos are on the back burner and I'm hopelessly behind because I CANNOT TURN THIS CHANNEL OFF! And yes...I subscribed. 🙃🙂🙃
We've all been there when it comes to working with cattle. Still funny to see it happen to someone though. Thanks for the technical breakdown with the calcification example. Really outstanding info.
Love your new intro! There's enough edgy out there, your new intro is like opening a letter from a friend... Glad that farmer has you on board for that bovine gal; she will surely be the better for it.
I'm so sorry you got peed on Graeme... But I couldn't stop laughing! My husband looked at me like I had 3 heads because I was laughing so hard!! 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for your awesome videos!! 👍
What I like about your videos is that you take time to explain what you are doing, so we can benefit from your experience and expertise. Through your work, I am learning about how we treat one of the most beneficial domesticated creatures on the planet. OK, "dog" is perhaps #1 on that list... but the gentle disposition of these creatures should earn them one bit of grace - to never take undue advantage of them. The "Golden Rule" applies here, and you are exemplifying that principle. As you said, the cows help us in so many ways that they DESERVE comfort and safety and care.
That video made my evening! I love your positive attitude and kindness! I wouldn't be surprised if TV will knock on your door to make a serie with you very soon!👍 The Toe bro for cattle.. 🥰
I wish i had some cows so you can come and take care of them. It my 2nd day that i star watching your videos and honestly you have my respect !!! GREAT JOB !!!
I noticed that, too! Nice! Graeme, if you ever get to Fargo, North Dakota, you will need to check that store out! And I just found your channel here - LOVE IT!
Like many others, I have no idea how it happened. RU-vid said: "Wanna see something cool?!" and here I am. Subscribed... will be looking at merch a little later on.
Did work this job with an old vet for quite a time its hard work and deserves more rrspect tmthen farmers give to it. Good job man cows shure lovexa good hoof job!
