I love the NHL. I've been a hockey fan for an extremely long time, but hearing news like that really pisses me off. No one deserves to come back after hiding something like that.
Bowman sucked as a GM! He only had the job because of his last name. Dale Tallon built this team. I agree with you. They shouldn’t be allowed back in the NHL. Plus to drop this news on the opening day of free agency is a despicable maneuver. The NHL has no shame!

Oiler fans aren't happy about this talk of Bowman being considered for the GM's position. If the cover up of the Kyle Beech incident wasn't enough to disqualify Stan Bowman , his record & reputation is vastly overrated. If Oilers owner Daryl Katz hires Stan Bowman fans will boycott & it will be a public relations disaster. Smh.

This is where Mike (Top Shelf man) shows what a high quality human being he is. He's not just about hockey and he's 100% right the NHL is run by old school dinosaurs who need to go. Sexual assault is a violent criminal act that needs to be dealt with appropriately. Quinnville and Bowman did not take it seriously at all.
Kane is a GOOD/ productive player when healthy. Had this guy been able to play in S.T.F. the Oilers would have won. No one leaves a team where the CUP is within grasp !!!
Kane will likely require hip surgery of some sort and possibly be placed on LTIR which will save them cap space. He will be the Oilers’ Mark Stone and probably be back in time for round 1 of the playoffs.
I dont always agree with your hockey takes but 100% agree on what you said about the kyle beech stuff. Anybody who feels differently go back and listen to keith ballard and nick boynton, others on the team and staff knew and even poked fun at beech about the situation after it happened. Because we'll never be able to put faces to names those are the only 2 guys on that team i have any respect for. Sorry not sorry, all that "leadership" and they all failed that kid.
If the Leafs trade Marner to Vegas it better not be for Pietrangelo, although it is an okay idea. One problem, hes 34 turning 35. Youre trading a 27 year old superstar forward (with an extension, if this gets done Marner and the Knights would negotiate a contract before hes traded) for a 34 year old D. If this was 30 year old Pietrangelo, fine... but hes not. Pietrangelo is even coming off of a down year, it would make the Leafs D core *so* old (Tanev is 34, Petro 34, OEL 32, Hakanpaa 32, Rielly 30, McCabe 30). Vegas would need to add a *ton* to Pietrangelo for the Leafs to consider it in my opinion. I think a better target would be Theodore, (also eligible for an extension, could be a double sign and trade) is younger and nearly as good as Petro, and will be better for longer. Marner + Liljegren for Theodore + Nic Roy + Brisson and a 2025 2nd round pick? Maybe a little more or less on either side but I like this more than Petro. It would be shocking if any team trades any major asset for Marner on a crazy expensive expiring deal.

Leafs still could use Piertrangelo yes older but a great veteran as Leafs want the cup in 2 years. Throw in Kolesar at $1.5 million and this could work. Kolesar is a big guy Berube type player. Marner Robertson and if Liljegren is included then yes if Roy is included Leafs can add a pick.
Pittsburgh Penguins would take Evander Kane I am sure. Kyle Dubas said today that they're still looking "to add either a good, young forward, or take on another trade like the Hayes deal". Meaning Pittsburgh would probably take Kane, if Edmonton adds a sweetener to take him, like St. Louis did with Kevin Hayes. That would be time sensitive though, cuz Pittsburgh is nearly full.
Vagas disapointing their ex players is going to make players not want to play there. It be funny Marner goes there. I hope he does. Vagas and Him deserve each other.

Montreal and Ottawa did nothing bottom feeders like Buffalo. Leafs redid their defense and goalie nice job. Still worried about the bottom six of the Leafs; like in Edmonton where they could not get into the Finals until they had a decent bottom six. Pietroangelo sounds interesting but if Vegas can include Kolesar it could work. Leafs would add Robertson and Marner. Leafs then could add Alex Nylander because size comes in Kolesar a Berube type. Alex is very small.
They are not trading Marner for Pietrangelo. Wtf kind of trade is that? They are now set on D. Theodore and a good solid forward is the only trade to be made.
The Sens should resign Pinto,it just depends if his agent throws a big road block or not.Pinto should be payed second line salary.Once Ottawa signs him then they can look at the other players to the puzzle.
Why would Vegas want Marner when they have Eichel? VGK are winners, not Marner/losers. Or maybe Marner just needs away from the Laffs and I'm wrong. Eichel got away from the Sabres like Reinhart did. As a Blackhawks fan it was shocking to hear what happened to Kyle Beach and others, and the terrible things that Quenneville, Bowman, MacIsaac, Cheveldayoff and others actively did to cover-up sexual assault and giving recommandations allowing the sexual assaults commited by the sick Brad Aldrich to continue amassing victims. To me, that is NEVER exuseable. I don’t think they should be allowed back until the couragous hero Kyle Beach and the other victims are comfortable with it. If that turns out to be never, I’m fine with that. Yes, these guys did amazing things to get my beloved Blackhawks their first Stanley Cups in my life-time, and to me, I think people should be given second chances, but they should never be allowed to get back into manegerial positions again, IMHO, and yes, I include Cheveldayoff in that group. I still cannot fathom why he was spared, based on what we know about what happened. I’m totally with you, TSH. That was really deflating and disappointing news to me too…

Why are the Rangers pushing to move their "captain" Trouba? Makes zero sense. They are not under a cap crunch. Their blue line is one of the best in the league. I'm glad coach Q is back in the NHL. Everyone deserves a second chance. He's a hell of a coach. Anyone who's butt hurt and bitching about it, obviously wasn't there plus what would y'all do in that situation? It's not something that happens everyday. How would y'all handle it? That's right. No one knows. It's easy to sit here and judge someone when you know nothing about what went on..gonna piss some people off here but I really don't care....how do we know if it's even true? Kyle beech was a grown man it's not like he was a helpless kid who was over powered and forced into it. If you have to have a sexual relationship with another man to advance your career, you probably just plain suck at hockey....same as coming out years later and accuse someone of being racist, with absolutely no physical evidence. If you can't make it by working your ass off and earning your roster spot, that's fine, but don't ruin someone's whole life and career years later. If it did happen....IF..then I agree the video coach should be in prison.
Complete Bullshit! Sorry but it happened to me and a much younger age and my voice worked just fine. 18 isn't a kid and you don't make it to the NHL by yourself. He had plenty of people to turn to. Furthermore, your disappointment cause of someone else did the crime and your upset cause they are not being held accountable. For taking someone's word that they would deal with it, on a player who isn't on the team. So isn't around to remind you. Should have never been suspended in the first place.
@rodneyhickman825 it was the trainer. Was hired by the team, not the coach. Coaches don't hire trainers and doctors, etc, the team does/president of hockey operations/Gm. Coach is responsible for a 23 man roster and if your not on it. He's not responsible
