HUGE NINTENDO DIRECT INCOMING?! $60 Zelda Ports, Chris Pratt Mario Movie, Metroid Prime and More! 

Expectation: New mainline Mario, New Donkey Kong, Pikmin 4, Goldeneye Remaster, Breath of the Wild 2, More N64 Classics on Switch Online. Reality: 20 minutes of Splatoon 3 footage, new courses for an 8 year old Mario Kart game and DLC for Switch Sports.

I’m currently not paying for Nintendo Switch Online. All online multiplayer should be free.

My Metroid sense is tingling. I think we’ll finally be seeing Prime 4. It’s been far too long at this point to not have anything to show, even after development restarted.

idk why people always complain about price when you have the option just not to buy them. If people stop buying nintendo ports at 60 $ then Nintendo wouldn't be charging 60$ it's as simple as that.

adding crystal and Minish cap on a gba emulator on NSO would be AMAZING

star fox could implement a mass effect approach, have RPG elements to customize vehicles and the combat is done on an open field/or onrails with various vehicles available depending where you are in the story, you could also be limited to one vehicle only depending on weather conditions. It does not have to be full open world, you could get main story missions with various side missions available and have the classic galaxy map to select where to go.

With Metroid Prime, I think it's more likely that we just see Metroid Prime 1 or the whole trilogy revealed in the September Direct and released either later this year or early next year, while Metroid Prime 4 would be shown off next year in either an E3 or September 2023 Direct, and then released sometime in 2024

This is blasphemy to certain Nintendo-focused RU-vidrs out there but the only Metroid Prime remake that makes sense is a remake of Prime Hunters. Also as someone who's never finished a Metroid Prime game before, I'd rather get the HD Trilogy than that rumored Metroid Prime remake.

This hasn't aged well at all. There were no mention of the Zelda ports and Metroid Prime 4 in the Nintendo Direct at all

The pattern seems to be updates on stuff announced & one new surprise. It's very rare big N goes full 4 or 5 major new first party announcements in a single direct, just enough to let shareholders know, yes we got games.

I feel like this is never going to happen but I would love OOT and Majoras Mask ports

Outside of the games you mentioned, a new Fire Emblem and 3D Mario I think have a good chance. Like I think it's time now to start seeing the next new installments in these franchises. And if the 3D Mario team really has been working on a 3D Donkey Kong like the rumors have been claiming, then maybe for 3D Mario we'd get Odyssey DLC. I mean if Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which wasn't even a new game when it came to Switch, can get DLC 5 years after then Mario Odyssey probably could too

I am going say this they tease the mario movie this coming September direct and with full trailer be reveal at this game awards like sonic 2 did. I believe a Donkey Kong game is coming out next year maybe a teaser if not a Feb direct of next year will be reveal, if we are counting the rumors that a DK game is being developed by odyssey team and it finished just recently and this game is part of Nintendo plans getting Donkey Kong series back in nintendo mainstream along with a DK land in universal theme park and a DK spin off of mario movie could be happening if the mario movie is successful in the box office.

If they needed to have anybody voice Mario who was not Charles Martinet, then it should have been Danny DeVito. That raspy, kind of goofy voice would be perfect for Mario. Plus, Zelda Wind Waker and Twilight Princess HD bundled at $60 or Metroid Prime Trilogy HD, also being $60 (considering the Wii game is $100+ on eBay) would be fair prices.

I try not to buy into rumors. Sometimes you get a gem, like when Jenna Coleman (voice of Melia) accidently confirmed Xenoblade Chronicles 3 a few months early. Other times you get "There's a new Switch coming!" and it turns out to be a Splatoon 3 OLED Model. Honestly, I don't know if WWHD/TPHD are coming as much as I want to see it. I'd be shocked if both games were announced. "Hope for the best, expect the worst" is my motto for rumors.

If not a WW TP bundle I'd only buy TP. I'd get WW maybe a year or two later, I love it but not enough to spend $180 on the 3 in such short succession

the funky kong tax put in place is because the switch cartridges are more expensive to produce than disc, they did the same $10 increase for Minecraft and terraria as well. Don't know why they have to do it for the digital versions tho :/

I would pay 40$ for WWHD and TPHD. Personally I would rather have them separately than in a double-pack but either way I'm getting them. Will definitely be getting MP1 remastered and of course BOW2(plus I'm hoping we get a remake of either Oracles or Minish Cap) My ccs will take a huge hit but it's for a good cause.

With Zelda Ports, I have trouble buying the ports of the new games. As a child, I saved up my allowance to buy Twilight Princess, game of the Year edition for 20 bucks new from Gamestop. 20 dollars for Twilight Princess on the Wii. So if I have to pay 3 times the amount to have it on my switch, I might just pass on that port and buy a wii with TP for the wii again

While I think a real direct is likely, this is still Nintendo we're talking about. So all the rumors may be bs and all we're getting is a mini third party showcase.

I can't see us getting a Direct this month after June, but I'd love to be proven wrong. I mostly just want news on the next two Strikers characters as well as BOTW 2 news or TP/WWHD ports. Would also love some surprise announcements for 2023.

You can emulate wind waker for free in better quality than you could ever pay Nintendo to produce for a game we’ve ALREADY played. In the span it’s taken to get no solid info on botw 2, we should have already gotten 2 brand new Zelda games.

tbh while i have never bought labo and im not gonna but fucking cardboard ever in my life a lot of the ideas were really cool and creative uses for the ir and gyro sensors. it is just very good and interesting engineering imo
