I just played this game for the first time today, and man I wish I would have watched this review first.. Thankfully I got it as part of thrash humble bundle package so those Doubel Dragon and River City Girls will hopefully come through for me.
I’ll echo what others are saying: hope you are well ChiGuy, and some of us are concerned for you due to not hearing anything. From what I saw, his twitter says as of March 2023 that he will be back “next month” but of course nothing happened with that and he hasn’t tweeted since. Hope you are alright my man.
The game was never entirely fixed. It's too late and it would need to be rebuilt from scratch. Blind squirrel rushed thing out and instead of porting the actual engine to modern platforms, they used godot to translate some of the GPU reliant code. This is why this games is so broken, it's because it's basically using a translation layer. What's worse is that godot has no official nintendo switch build which means, blind squirrel had to port it themselves. When you take that into consideration, it's no wonder why it's so broken and so much worse than the wii release. This is unfortunately a game that is better experienced with emulation and mods.
I bought this on the switch for 2020 for 20 dollars. I'm replying to this since waiting for the SMT V PC port . And I forgot this has a framerate issue . Even the switch can do a stable frame rate .
Unfortunately, the Wii U was very underrated! It sucks that the Wii U failed, but even though the Wii U failed, I still use it in 2024. The Wii U was like the Windows Vista of Nintendo consoles.
Can I ask how the seizure glitch was even discovered? Because the amount of random stuff you have to do to activate it makes me think little timmy grabbed the switch and pressed random buttons.
Steam should stop promoting these garbage launchers like ubi and ea, and let us enjoy games. I mean i am purchasing from steam so just steam and the game should suffice, why pore garbage on it? Steam should take steps or a time will come when people stops buying games from steam.

Also to the defense of "you can't judge a movie you haven't seen yet" i say nah, cuz that's what the trailer is for, it's to make me interested in the movie while also showing what they have to offer, if i didn't like the trailer then most likely i won't like the movie, and why would i waste my money and time on a movie i will probably dislike? When there's a whole lot of other movies I'm more interested in.
The only few things I hate about this game are as follows: 1) Navirou... He's a talking, tan soccerball I wanna kick. His Japanese VA does well enough to match his annoying attitude to tolerate but still... I wanna kick him and see if I can't beat the Guinness world records. The fact he straight up _lies_ and tries to use the MC and their grandfather's good name and skills *_for his own credit to seem impressive to anyone listening to him_* and doesn't catch any flak for it except to simply be ignored for comedy? And not just that, but anyone who tries to correct him or speak the truth, he flatout overrides, talks over them and does what he can to keep that lie up.... _multiple times in multiple cutscenes._ 2) Abuse of stupid anime tropes... Oh Lord, this one... Ena is especially guilty of a few such as blaming herself for not being strong enough, when in reality we never get to see what she's even capable of. We don't even get to see her slap someone silly, so for her to spout about strength when she's literal to no involvement in anything but just being _there_ or safekeeping Little Ratha's egg? There's also the slight "Talk No Jutsu" from her when the person she reasons with was pretty evident that they didn't lose a few marbles but *_the entire bag._* it's not that big a deal because the person was pretty much non-existent in the important scheme of things. 3) only a slightly minor problem, but it's still within the reason of questioning. You get to face Rogue Hunter/Riders aka the bois who legit attack and raided a Hunters Guild building and you have to rely on your monstie to attack them? Had I my way, those Rogue Riders would've been left bisected and deal with a small talk with the Guild Knights in terms of overreaching my responsibilities.
At least wii u commercials are FUN to watch and a lot of the switch ones are soo booring. O yeah and plsssss watch the wii u europe ads these are really good
