The ps5 really isn't that big of a leap from the ps4 pro and third party developers are still porting games to that system. Third party support should be even stronger for Switch 2.

Greed can be the only reason why cyberpunk released on last gen to begin with and that's where the majority of the issues were for that game. Or how about the numerous games that the ps4 struggled to run at 30fps while the ps5 ran at 60 with no issues and at higher resolution plus higher graphics settings? You aren't seeing games like Alan wake 2 on ps4 at all...Spiderman 2 would make the ps4 explode.

@@novustalks7525 not true, for starters joycon drift will likely be fixed, has more up to date technology, the switch undocked is essentially a portable ps4 and docked it’s probably a ps4 pro in terms of power, that’s because of DLSS lessening the burden on the hand held device console. I don’t understand why their needs to be a gimmick? It’s the same console but more powerful, I’d argue that’s definitely a major upgrade, besides the switch is such a success so why would they move away from what already worked? You have to remember that when the Wii U existed it didn’t do so well and it didn’t exactly have an active userbase as developers weren’t making games on it. Nintendo went from a console that completely flopped to a console that they’d consider a major success which is the switch, why would they deviate from what made them successful? Combining the console and handheld market into a hybrid system is the sole reason the switch was so successful, why would they do something different, their is a saying that says don’t fix something that isn’t broken, the switch did have some issues regarding performance did their games and drift and in these areas it’s a major improvement that first and third party games can benefit from but they don’t have to create anymore gimmicks because thus far this is the pinnacle of nintendo consoles.

Famiboards uncovered most of these specs via investigating shipping data. The specs were all above people's reasonable expectations, including the RAM speed & size, and storage speed & size. It's shaping up to be an incredible hybrid console.

Well performance is the decision of the developer. Monolithsoft can make a game that runs flawless in 60 fps without one stutter or they put everything or more in graphics, biiiiig worlds with high fidelity full of details and have it run like Xenoblade 1 on Wii (that was impressive for the hardware but had stutters). With that hardware most Nintendo games will probably in 60fps though, its big jump in power for them if that "leak" is true.
Good news. It'll be as powerful as a Xbox series S. It has more RAM, the same amount of terraflops, uses the Nvidia equivalent GPU architecture as current Gen consoles. The only disadvantage is the weaker CPU, which will mainly affect framerate.
Switch 2 will probably sell a fair bit less than Switch 1 because that’s usually how sequels go, but since the Switch 1 has astronomical sales the Switch 2 will still be a huge success
I think it definitely depends on the games, if Nintendo drops another massive Mario Kart game that sells 50 million+ then the console sales will come as well
Something in that spec sheet that caught my eye was the "Video game console protective case model "made of plastic" I really hope Nintendo has the forsight to make their own slim yet very protective cases for this thing, like the one for the Switch Lite. I hated having to go through the entire Switch generation of 7 years to find the kind of cases I wanted since day one and even then they were not exactly what I wanted (exactly like the Switch Lite case) as they were close but had some defect about them.. It wold be good to also have a tablet only case where you place that part in a hard plastic, transparent enclosure and then atteach the controllers on the side to continue to play on the go comfortably and without fear of scratching.
Damn I have over 200+ Switch games ranging from hard-core to family types & I barely beat them. So if Switch 2 is going to be awesome then I'll be buying over 200+ games for it as well. Of all the past Nintendo systems I bought, I never bought that much. Nintendo really made the best system ever & I hope they keep making games.
OJ I don't think games will be an issue, Nintendo always does good games doesn't matter the hardware, all what better hardware will allow is for more of their games to hit 60fps or higher resolutions or have more physics, more NPC's... But the games themselves the gameplay will always be Nintendo's bread and butter. Also better hardware will allow 3rd party company to port more of their games to the Nintendo Switch 2, I think that's the biggest advantage better harder will give to Switch users.
OJ they also "Leaked The Dock and Logo as well and its 2 different one One looks like a White Nintendo and the other looks like like it has a Glass Frame and the Logo is the same as the Switch Logo except it has a 2 in the middle

If the Switch 2 still has physical games it must have better capacity. What I mean is that we should not have to download the rest of the game to a microSD card. As for memory the Switch 2 must have at least a 1TB internal memory.
I’m not sure if I buy the leak. It’s just a Switch XL. I think Nintendo likes more separation between generational products. The Specs seem a little too high honestly, but Nvidia and ARM are probably a generation better than AMD at low power.
Of all the leaks we have had to date, this one seems to be one of the most reliable, but still, it should be taken with a grain of salt anyway. Anyway, if this is indeed the Switch 2, I'm pretty excited to see what games might come out on this console.
I’d kinda quit gaming for a few years after PS3 disappointed me. I literally thought my friend’s Wii U was just an accessory for his Wii. This is definitely not facing that issue.
If those images are real, this will Nintendo's most uninspired console generation yet. This literally could have just been a Switch Pro and that's disappointing for people looking for innovation or that Nintendo magic. For me, there was more excitement in the PS5 controller than this. I bought the Switch day one, but I don't think I will upgrade to Switch 2 on day one unless there's some killer launch software. However, I don't think Nintendo will be able to recreate the 2017 launch, and a new 3D Mario is not going to be enticing enough to jump in day one. I predicted that the OG system would sell over 150m units when it was first revealed, but I think this system will be closer to around 100m units.
Not sure how accurate this is but I can't wait to play the games on whatever it ends up being! I'm skipping PS6 til maybe the end unless I see a LOT of high quality Single Player games again, and I suspect Microsoft will be leaving hardware so all systems go for Nintendo!
Same, i'm playing almost only japanese games and for that the hardware, performance and image quality will be enough. And japanese devs will be big on that console. Even the old Switch is getting games from devs now that hated Nintendo before, like Yakuza and Falcom games. And for western games it will get more ports than Switch (and most games will run on base PS5 for eternity, i mean most games still run on PS4.

Assuming any of it is legit we have dodgy 3d printed shell same with the specs. No point talking what things will be like with this. Plus Nintendo probably rarely talk specs I still think it will be sub 4k.
It will be fake 4k with dlss and upscaling, like all current gen consoles in most games. I mean the PS4 Pro was sold as a 4k console. And its not untrue, technically it can deliver 4k, just not in any modern AAA 3d game. Even PS5 is sub 4k in practice and PS5 Pro will be sub 4k in most AAA games too. Even most PC graphiccards need upascaling and games have it even built in.
@@currywurst2434 depends there was a digital foundry video where they said there not convinced 4k even with dlss as dlss isn't magic and takes up processing power. We will see when they officially announced after all Nintendo released the Wii as an SD console while others were going HD. Personally I don't care either way gamings personally fine even without 4k. Just makes dev cycles unnecessarily longer and expensive.
I'm impressed with the specs. Looks like they are finally listening. Nintendo wants third party like COD to run like a breeze. It'll also sell systems. Think of the ports , games like MGS 5 or Elden Ring etc finally coming ton switch. Maybe even the Remasted versions of GTA 5. They could just literally take the PS4 Pro version .
Please, just give us friend messaging and internet and customizable home screen. I'm glad they stuck with the Switch design but I had utility gripes (messaging/internet) long before performance annoyed me. To be clear I don't mind the performance of the games I play, I mind so many games didn't get a Switch version because they simply can't.
Weren't the parts planned to be produced in Vietnam and not china? Nintendo forecast made a good video how this manufacturing plant is literally under water because of the recent floods, therefore I highly doubt that this "leak" has any credibility.
The only reason Nintendo is keeping any secrets is because it generates Publicity. Is Nintendo going to change what they are doing with the Switch if this news is real or fake? Nope. And they have no reason to change anything. There are already systems with more power available in the hand held market. No new ground is going to be broken either. The only thing of note is that whoever is going to be building them once confirmed will get a boost in their stocks... but the hedges are going to be first always because no matter what... insider trading is going to happen it will not be punished unless you are a regular plebeian.
While i can appreciate why ppl are so thirsty for switch 2 news, I personally couldn't care less. I'll get excited once nintendo officially shows the specs and release.
Nah man if I can I'll be getting the switch 2 day one. The switch ended up being my favorite and really only console I play this gen and after the news on ps5s new price there is no way lol

NIntendo won't charge $400. They wil want another immediate smash hjit. This time they wil risk not making as much money per unit, mabe sell at cost or close, $350 for base verson switch 2. And a $00 Oled version perhaps too
I have no interest in handheld mode so id pay a premium price for a dedicated console version of the switch 2 if it could be more powerful than a series s. I wont believe any rumor no matter how convincing but we shall get something official soon enough. Im predicting a cross gen version of metroid prime 4 for launch and mario oddessy 2 in the launch window. Probably holiday 2025
They would never do that because all games would have to run on the handheld version for it to be the same product. And they’re not going to make a whole separate SKU just so a smaller hardcore segment can play Mario at 120fps instead of 60
Even if its not real it will be similiar. We know the chip since the Nvidia leaks and we know its a hybrid and the Switch successor. It could be weaker than this leak says if its in 8nm production node, but it will still be a big jump from Switch and fantastic for Nintendo IPs. Can't wait to see what wizardry the Zelda, Mario and Xenoblade teams give us with more modern PS4+ hardware.
I just checked his tweet and he never debunked it. The only incorrect detail regards handheld at ps4 pro/xbox one x levels and docked at near ps5 levels. Handheld is apparently ps4 levels and docked is ps4 pro/xbox one x level of graphics.
If these leaks are correct Nintendo will absolutely win this generation too. The power of it potentially being between a PS4 Pro and Series S means most third party games can easily be ported to this up coming system. Like I can absolutely see stuff like Baldur’s Gate 3 coming to the system if those specs are correct.
9:05 The next mainline Pokemon games (not Legends Z-A since it's cross-platform) will truly feel "next-gen." Scarlet and Violet had atrocious performance, to the point that I couldn't play more than the first couple hours.

Depends if you like the Switch and Nintendo games, or strong handhelds etc. Personally i am hyped because Nintendo DEvs get hardware that will let their worlds shine. Everything above PS4 in docked mode is a big jump for Nintendos devs and IPS.
@currywurst2434 ever since the steamdeck came out I dropped my switch hard, it's only appealing for playing multi-player games with the wife, I mean I just beat botw last summer and I'm not gonna lie it was good but having AAA, emulation on one device is key and I honestly never looked back, to me, the one device everyone should mimic is the psp, all you multimedia and games in the palm of your hand with great games
@@WaterFire574 They confirmed that the renders were fake, but claim the other two pictures are real. Why should anyone trust them when 78% of their claim is immediately debunked? The remaining photos don't look legitimate either. The controllers have no fasteners, reinforcements, or backing and the circuit board has no circuits. There's ZERO reason and factory worker would have these parts in this condition.
