Ah you are such a natural at these videos!! It's so joyful and refreshing to see a truly lovely "normal" person just... "normaling" :D (I mean that as the biggest compliment, in that you're not being all boring and presenter-y, you're being warm and friendly and authentic!!). Absolutely loving seeing all your utterly gorgeous juicy art, feeling very inspired so thank you!!
Snap on writing things down before sleep. It’s like unloading my brain so I can sleep and not worry about forgetting something. I’ve even been known to wake up grab the notebook and pen in the middle of the night and make notes without turning the light on. Gets it off my mind though it can be a bit hard to read the scribble next morning!
Love your work so much Emily. The Teapot People would make a great children's picture book series. My fav part: seeing your work tables - I can totally relate!!!! It's a beautiful mess for sure.
Love your everyday life as an artist and human being. The paintings are so beautiful! Those teapot people really tell a story. That would make a beautiful children's book. ❤
I remember when you were painting the teapot people and posted them in your Instagram stories. I love these soooo much, they remind me of the borrower's 😂and all the adventures they might be getting up to🥰♥️xx
This "Newborns to be protected" piece is so touching *-* And I love how vibrant your huge mural piece is! I found your book by chance at a museum and it's so fun and inspiring! I'm a big fan of Sandi Hester and she often mention you, so when I saw you started your own vlogs I got super excited to see what you are making. Your work is very enabling and inspiring to me, and, from the outside, your studio life looks like my dream life 🥰🥰 Thank you for sharing your everyday!
Hi Emily, I'm loving your videos! Thanks for being so authentic. I would love to hear about your journey as an artist and how you developed your practice, and how to "gather" inspiration for your paintings. Also would love to see the painted walls around your house, you can see bits of really fun colourful walls, looks amazing!
Got introduced to you through Sandy’s videos. I love how free your artwork and your studio space is. I’ve always been so stuff with my art and want to get to that free point.
Loving these videos, Emily!! I can also relate to the overly enthusiastic eyebrow plucking.😂 Thanks so much for taking the time to create fun videos for us!
Love your colors. Life in England seems worlds away from USA. Especially all the lovely countryside… How did you manage to complete so many HUGE canvas ??
You are so funny and your work is so lovely. There’s whole worlds in your work. You and your work are a gift to the world, keep enjoying your creativity and your lovely space! From artist to artist, Sarah.
What a lovely studio filled with beautiful and colourful artwork! I bought you and your sister's book this week and already did the make 10 dots and join them together exercise, videoed it and put it here on RU-vid! I can't wait to read the rest of the book! 😄
Loving the mahoosive painting in the studio - I'd like to just sit in front of it on a squishy sofa & stare at it for a couple of hours. Have a great adventure in the Arctic, say hello to the polar bears (from a distance...) x
you made me laugh out loud. i did the same to my eyebrow, but from the other end! i must have just forgot to stop. your studio is something to be envied.... wow. would love to just look around for hours.
I had a similar eyebrow experience but when i was done plucking it looked like i had three eyebrows due to a scar that runs through one.😂 You faired much better than me 😆
Hi Emily love your work, where you influenced by Ken Done the Aussie artist? He was huge in the 80s in Aus, my work has always been influenced by him, although I am soooo tight, need to loosen up. Happy painting. Xx
Really loving these vlogs! And your work is a juicy colorful inspiration!!! Also, no worries, the eyebrow patch will grow back. Take it from me, I was an overplucker in the 90s, hehehe ;)
