HUGE Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire Leak Reveals Tons of CUT Pokémon!! 

Pokemon Company: This scrapped Pokemon was an electric type that was referred to as an imp, but stole electricity from storms and buildings, had horns that were very important or central to their design, and a very interesting herd/family grouping identity. Pokemon fans: “It’s Impidimp because it’s an imp!!!”

If Plusle actually had an evolution, I hope it would have set the trend for other Pikachu-clones to evolve as well.

By far that Lottery Pokémon is the one that intrigues me the most. The fact it’s suggested that it could evolve into ANY Pokémon is just fascinating. Also the Grass/Psychic Pokémon at 13:50 sounds like it has elements of Calyrex.

I've always felt Rayquaza's lipstick kind of looked like a beak, I could totally see it being adapted from an earlier white bird dragon. It would make sense, given that Rayquaza is the embodiment of the sky/atmosphere

The second leaked pokemon is probably a rodent, given that some of them are known to chew on specific plants to clean, or "brush", their teeth.

The unidentified flower Pokemon sounds A LOT like a Floette or Flabebe, especially with references to how the bond between them or their trainer helps them. The Grass/Psychic was simply swapped to Grass/Fairy to keep the same light-hearted nature of the Pokemon intact but with the franchise's newest type which some say is based on a hypothetical "Light-type".

The one that sucks electricity could’ve been inspiration for Rotom

On the dragonfly mon: if you look at beta yanmega, it too looks like a leaf-pond-ish mon with green tones, this is probably an earlier development of the line.

The entries for the scraped Pokemon sounds really cool,kinda wish they showed what they looked like

Quetzalcoatl White Rayquaza sounds absolutely amazing.

The Spirit Pokemon's description reminds me of the kodama forest spirits that were in Princess Mononoke. They're spirits in the woods that can guide lost travelers and when they shake their heads it makes a xylophone like sound. No horn tho 🤷

Wow...the cut plusle evolution is a major lose... it would have likely changed the nature of the pika-clones going forward, and not just leave raichu forgotten.

HoopsandHipHop Flygon is a Spirit Pokemon because some of It's Dex Entries say It's The Desert Spirit Pokemon and here's an example from Diamond, Pearl and Platinum "It whips up sandstorms with powerful flaps of its wings. It is known as "The Desert Spirit.""

The normal one with the cradle reminds me a bit of opossums (they carry their young in pouches in their bellies when they are small and in their backs after they are old enough ) mixed with a rodent (due to the shearing teeth part - rodents have teeth that keep growing so they have to shear it.) It sounds like a reasonable mix, as opossums look like rodents, even though they are marsupials

Comment on sprite in the back of the thumbnail: When I first saw Plussle and Minun, I thought they like fusion danced into Pikachu.

The thought of plusle having an evolution brings an odd idea to my mind; what about an evolution where you fuse a plusle and minun together ala white/black Kyurem or Necrozma? That sounds really cool to me.

they probably never got talked about because we don't have any sprites, pictures would make it way more exciting. also, Imps are usually really small, so I wouldn't be surprised if the electric type eventualy became joltic

298, the shrub one, sounds to be like maybe it was intended to be a mimic, like Sudowoodo or Voltorb, in the overworld where you'd perhaps go to shake a berry tree and find out it was a Pokemon instead!

The white dragon could be a young drampa. Psychic bug could be lurantis. As for plusle, I bet it was something like morpeko, it could switch from positive to negative depending on how much energy it had.

Considering how some of these pokemon may have found new life in Gen 5 kinda explains why some Gen 5 pokemon looked like evolutions of existing pokemon. Yes, I'm referring to Alomomola.

the 'Elekid' relative pokemon with the electric horn reminds me of an oni! And the 'lottery' pokemon actually reminds me a lot of milcery, as it seems to evolve various ways depending on item held and how much you spin or what time you spin. It's obviously speculation but i feel they could have reused that idea for milcery and alcreamie, possibly. Maybe not the same idea/pokemon, but maybe a similar concept!

That Sceptile dex entry is wild. Looks like he may have had a vastly different design

These Pokemon sound interesting and I feel like some of the Pokemon that were cut needs to be real like a Torkoal pre evolution that would be cool and cute.

Is it just me, or does the black stone Pokemon's two Pokedex entries sound like actual Pokedex entries for different Pokemon? I swear I'd heard similar ones before... Hm, I wonder if the Lottery Pokemon's concept was reworked into Milcery/Alcremie, by making it so that you can influence which form it evolves into instead of just lottery-style?

I don‘t really see the first speculation. I would rather say, that it might have something to do with Solrock and Lunatone. Both of them don‘t really chance their faces as well, plus this would actually go a really long way to Solgaleo, Lunala and Necrozma, with Necrozma being this black rock creature as well.

That legendary white dragon sounds like it could’ve been a beta version of rayquaza and Reshiram put together. Maybe someone liked the concepts for it but just not together and decided to use those same concepts as two different Pokémon instead of one. Also the black rock type Pokémon at the beginning could be Rolycoly as well. Especially if you consider that they took inspiration from the idea that it likes bathing in the rain and using that to decide that one of its abilities is steam engine.

305 seems to be a gremlin Pokemon. Gremlins are thought to ruin machines. They probably took it and changed it to an actual imp instead of a gremlin.

The blaziken data states that at one point it could fly, so maybe the latías/blaziken design could’ve been blaziken’s final design before they changed it.

That Hawk Pokemon sounds like Staraptor since it's Japanese name is Mukuhawku and it's strong enough that you could run 4th gen solo

Alright, fine. I've had the idea of a multiplication and division variant of Plusle and Minun for a while now, so I guess I'll finnally add them to the Aavinian Pokedex as Aavinian forms or something.

I love the 3rd Generation my favorite of them all and these videos I love to see very interesting that we don't know alot about the development I really hope down the line we can get videos of behind of the scenes from GF so many scrap ideas for lore, pokemon designs, trainers, and plots.

Beta forms of Shellos and Gastrodon are actually found in the data of Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald. There are actually unsused cries too. I had no idea about Pokédex entries though. This was made before I seen the whole video and im expecting a beta Shellos and Gastrodon Dex entry.

Thanks for the indepth tour of this scrapped content; I'd never heard this discussed before either. I love the Gen 5 connection theory and of the Pokémon mentioned, I liked the sound of the Black Stone, Shrub Sprinkler, Lottery and Red Spider Lily Pokémon.

I'm surprised that there is no mention of Shellos and Gastrodon here both were originally intended to be Generation III pokemon.

In Japan, Pokémon hero’s came out in July of 2002 so idk how long it was in the works but latios and latias must have been finalized a bit before the release.

The lottery pokemon probably had multiple evolutions determined by various factors to seem random. This is especially likely because in gen 3 wurmple relies on a vary similar mechanic in evolution. Maybe when they scrapped the lottery Pokémon they used the feature f or wurmple instead.

The plusle one for me. in my original sapphire i raised a minun to lvl 100 made sure it was max happy and tried every stone on it because I didn't know it didn't evolve. It along with my swampert and flygon were my first ever level 100s

Second one sounds like opossum like rodent creature as from biological stand point it matches

you can probably do cross research with myths and legends to find out more details like what real-world plants or animals they are related to. That grass type with the unrequited love sounds like it would have a real-world flower associated with it.

Only reason I’d say that Sightseeing Pokémon isn’t Latiken is because it only has a Dex entry in the May 2002 build Pokémon Heroes was released only two months after that in July of 2002, which definitely had to have Latias before that

The Foster Pokemon doesn't completely sounds like a monkey, as what species of monkey can run that fast? The Shrub pokemon sounded similar to Ludicolo. Electric type Heracross, perhaps? The Grass/Psychic pokemon could be some kind of sloth pokemon.

Who knows, maybe some more scrapped Pokemon will be sort of revived in later gens.

Probably, when gen 5 was in making, the pokémon company inserted scrapped pokémon from the past, given that they needed a high amount of new ones for the region (until the league) not to have older ones

I noticed a theme is some of these scrapped Pokémon entries, namely things that involved the sky, water, and relations. The foster Pokémon sounds like it was going to be a counterpart to the Slakoth line, maybe a monkey Pokémon that carries Slakoth but it was scrapped to build up on Slakoth into Slaking. The black stone face Pokémon sounds more of a baby form of Nosepass but I can see it being shelved and reworked into Roggenrolla. The sprinkler shrub Pokémon sounds like a reason to have a water grass type but must’ve been dropped since Lotad feels more genuine to pass as a water grass type. I do really wish we got to see the hawk Pokémon because it sounds so cool and pairs perfectly well with Winona if it was a non evolution pure flying type Pokémon. The white scale/dragon or flying Pokémon sounds immediately like something I want and the bug psychic Pokémon sounds very curious to me, maybe an idea that came after the Volbeat and Illumise idea.

Really cool. Definitely can't wait for the fan art of these ones.

Theory: The “Foster” Pokémon isn’t a Chansey or Kangaskhan evo/pre-evo. It’s an Aipom evolution. Other than its prominent tail, what else is a very prominent feature of Aipom? Its stupid smile. I could imagine a female-only evolution that makes it fast as hell but terrible at defense, maybe getting the ability Strong Jaw.

That electric imp Pokemon having been reinvented into Impidimp is just a huge stretch. "It was the imp Pokemon and it sounds like it was mischievous." Yeah, that's a given. Its an imp, which are known for being mischievous. Saying that means it was redone into Impidimp is like saying "oh, maybe the hawk Pokemon was redone into Hawlucha! I mean, its a hawk, and it can fly!" The similarities with Impidimp are as small as the similarities between Pikachu and Bidoof, as both are based on rodents. To me, the electric imp Pokemon sounds like it was inspired by Rhyhorn's horn acting as a lightning rod in the anime. But with the horn going into sockets sounding a lot like how Elekid having a plug for a head, it seems to me like they thought it was too similar of a Pokemon and even the reference wasn't worth the idea, so they scrapped it and just gave Rhyhorn the Lightning Rod ability for the reference, with other minor parts of the idea possibly being used elsewhere (helping them decide Electabuzz needs an evolution? "We need a new electric type still" leading to Electrike and Manectric? Hard to say). Edit: should have listened longer because the same happened with the archaeopteryx Pokemon. That dex entry sounds nothing like Archen and Archeops, and being called a living fossil doesn't help, as I believe that's currently used to describe Relicanth. While not impossible as an early version of Archeops, it would be so far back that "beta" wouldn't fit. More "pre-alpha concept", because literally all that seems shared is that its based on an archaeopteryx. Seems more like they scrapped the idea and just came back to the "how about basing a Pokemon on an archaeopteryx" idea later on. Shared inspiration does not mean "early design"

#299, the cut musical Ghost-Type, reminds me of a kodama #334, the bird that carries people, reminds me of an albatross. They're massive birds that can fly over the seas for days on end. The magnetic horns thing could be inspired by the fact that migratory birds determine their path/location via Earth's magnetic readings.

Game Freak must have millions of beta designs and Dex entries that they improve on when needed. They have to have a Pegasis Pokemon The "carry it's young in its back" sounds more like an opossum, I don't think monkeys clean their teeth with rocks. A Hawk Pokemon? I hope it's Flying/Fighting. The cheerful person raising a Pokemon for a beautiful flower description sounds almost like Liligant. "The Lottery Pokemon?" it sounds interesting and you could have an entire region filled with these, if they evolve into any known Pokemon. "White Dragon Pokemon"? That sounds cool. The Archeopes beta sounds cooler. Bug/Psychic type? That's interesting. I was hoping to see a Ancient Power Normal/Psychic evolution for Keckleon. Maybe see an evolution for Torkoal, like Fire/Rock, it's nice to know one day it might get a pre-evolution.

I think that the flying pokemon with the horns might be latias vs the fighting latios/blazakin fusion we have seen the concept art. That would be amazing. Maybe it would have been the blue flying/psychic(both strong against fighting) and then have the red dragon/fighting(both aggravated types) we saw in the concept photo. That would have been amazing!

The first entry sounds like claydol. "The face is always the same and if you look at it you get calming effect."

Theres possibly more evidence to the possible cut Tympole was actually Tympole. In OR/AS when you get the National Dex and the unique hidden Pokemon start showing up. Tympole is one of them that appears in SEVERAL areas. Which does add some fuel to the idea that it was a cut gen3 Pokemon.

Tbh when me and my brother were kids and first played Ruby and Sapphire, I loved Plusle and he loved Minun so much we both used them on our play through team. (Honestly they kicked ass. They were the glue of our teams). But anyways we used to pretend that they both had an evolution which were; Plusle evolved into a bigger version of itself but everything that’s Red is now Orange and his + (Plus) symbols on his cheeks and tail is now a x (Times) symbol. Minun evolved into a bigger version of itself but everything that’s Blue is now Purple and its - (Minus) symbols on his cheeks and tail is now a divide symbol. Then more recently when Mega Evolution came into existence, my brother and I, decided they both get a Mega except they both get the same mega like Latios and Latias or Appletun and Flapple having the same Gigantimax forms. Anyways when either Mega Evolves they become an even bigger version of themselves (well taller than humans now) and everything that was the colours of Orange and Purple respectively are now Green, and where the Times symbols and Divide symbols are on their cheeks and tails respectively now are = (Equal Signs) symbols. So both Megas are the same yellowed bodies with the tips of both their ears, electrical sacks on both their cheeks, and each of their tail symbols Green w/ the = Equal sign as their symbols. P.s.
