Do you remember hearing about a scandal that shocked you?

I went back and forth between History Channel, TLC, Animal planet, and a couple of others for most of my youth and early adulthood. It really fueled a lifelong love of history, science, and documentaries, in general. It really annoyed me when they all started introducing "reality" TV. It would be one of the reasons I dropped cable, as an adult, years ago. It was inexcusable, in my opinion, and ridiculous to boot!

Forgot the Disney cruise ship worker who disappeared and Disney covered it up entirely.

Eaten alive has to be the dumbest tv idea ever. I bet he thought the same thing when the breath started leaving his body but not coming back! What the hell was he thinking???

I'm not sure if anyone's mentioned it, but "The Wizard of Oz" was produced by MGM, not Warner Bros. J'accuse.

I can attest to Rick’s questionable business on American Restoration. The company I worked for was renovating an old building and purchased 2 items and agreed to be on the show. One of the items was ‘camera ready’ when I got there. That was not our agreement. There were several promises not kept, pitiful shipping resulting in damage to both items with no support when reported. In addition I had to hire an attorney to get the items delivered. Once the show was filmed they tried to jerk me around for months. The whole experience sucked.

The cannonball through your house?! Wow! just wow! Try to explain that to the family while they're sitting at home just watching television.

Some of this is drama, but other things are quite serious issues. Disney trying to stop the LA times from accessing their movies after the LA times wrote a critical article about Disney trying to influence local politics for example. That speaks volumes about the role Disney wishes to play in the future of America.

The news channels did not make mistakes everything they do is deliberate. but some of their stuff gets caught by the public.

They wouldn't have all these problems if the would have kept the History Channel ABOUT History..all those crap shows were ruinous and nobody I know every really watched them much.The historical docs that were the creation content were ,in the beginning,pretty much the main reason I ever paid out the nose for cable TV back in the day.

I don’t exactly comprehend the controversy involving company mergers and which came first, Babylon or Deep Space. My mind has already been amazed by one man’s vision of a 5 year show, including many intricate and seemingly unconnected plot lines that all came together, showing a complete cause and effect for everything. To me Babylon 5 is the best SciFi program that ever existed and the characters were engrossing and likable even when their misdeeds were revealed. I felt I walked the halls of Babylon 5 and had dinner with J’kar and Captain Sheridan. My heart stuttered at the bravery of the Narn Warriors and mourned their deaths. Ivanova was a woman I would have loved to have had for a sister and Marcus, the doomed lover, for my own. I was grieved and sad at the end when the station was stripped and dark and gutted, preparing for demolition. Surely, in real life, it would have been preserved as an historical site. Babylon 5 will always be first in my esteem, especially in comparison to the one dimensional characters and haphazard episodes of Deep Space 9. Star Trek: TNG falls short of Babylon 5, but is well ahead of Deep Space.

Interesting fact, there really are chemicals to alter weather to cause storms. Developed during the 50's at the same time as atomic weapons. Those chemicals were agreed to powerful to be used even in war. The outcome was too unpredictable.

James Baskett sang Zip a dee doo da in the Disney movie Song of the south. I worked as an arborist at Crown hill cemetery in Indianapolis where Mr. Baskett is laid to rest. I would take my lunch at his grave site and sing the song I learned as a child. I like to believe James Baskett knew I was there. RIP Mr. Baskett. I am old. I remember seeing Song of the South as a young child. My main remembrance of this show is that it was boring enough that I, and whoever took me, chose to leave before even the half way mark. So no need for anyone unable to secure and watch a copy of this snooze fest to be sad. You are being spared a tedious experience.

LOL I found out in my teens that If I fell for an actor, he'd be gay. Nothing in my life seems to have changed that.
