Now that's a spooky amount of books 👻. I thought the video was over halfway through but then they just kept coming 😂. I love those Dandelion Dynasty editions. I've just been too intimidated to start that series.

And I thought we'd already seen your September book haul! lol Night Shift is great! So many well written, crazy, pulpy premise horror (plus the Last Rung on the Ladder which is just plain amazing!) - Jurusalem's Lot, the Mangler, the Boogeyman, the Ledge, the WTF that is Lawnmower Man, and Children of the Corn, even Trucks somehow works - so varied and mostly bangers. I've learned there's a rare 2020 edition that includes 2 mostly unpublished stories - though the cover is much plainer, I can't help but covet, as I'm trying to get every King - I'm pretty happy with my 1st edition paperback showing the hand from "I am the Doorway". I also found an old "Bachman's Books" that does have Rage - it's interesting for those interested in King's journey (and the sad copycat deaths related to it), but as stories go it's far from his best - fair enough because he was 19 when he wrote it and overdoing the edgy. That's the only Bachman I've read, but I've just started the Stand (uncut) and I'll read more of them after that epic.

«Dandelion Dynasty»!❤ In September I bought «Navola» by Paolo Bacigalupi (Fantasy inspired by Renaissance Italy) and «The Blood Dimmed Tide» by Stephen Aryan (The Nightingale & The Falcon #2, Historical Fantasy inspired by the Mongol Conquest of Persia) for my 2025 Spring TBR, as well as my digital Indie preorder of «Dreamer, Awake!» by Liam Hall («Liam’s Lyceum», Post-Apocalyptic Cyberpunk/S&S(?😅))! I have mentioned this before, but I also bought the Bernie Wrightson-illustrated «Frankenstein» and «The Secret History» by Donna Tartt as gifts to a good friend I am planning to visit abroad: Illustrated Gothic Horror and Dark Academia is right up my friend's alley!

Patient Zero - Ray Porter reads the Joe Ledger series, I recommend listening to it. ♥️ After reading Hell House you might find those other haunted house books lacking. The only one I haven’t read but that’s been sitting on my MBR forever is Kill Creek, for no reason, it looks good, I just haven’t gotten to it. I like Chuck Wendig. I think I might have started with the Miriam Black series (much shorter books) lol I’ve read 4 of his chonkers & recommend the audio of The Complete Double Dead. JD Barker - I read an arc of A Caller’s Game & liked the twist then searched the back catalog and found 4th monkey. I use thrillers as palate cleansers as they’re usually under 15 hours and are compelling one-sitting reads. I have a list of auto buy thriller authors. lol You have horrible luck with damaged books. Hope you get a quick replacement!! Great haul! I’m also buried in new books. I keep thinking I’m gonna wake up tomorrow and have no interest in buying books 🤞🏻 …. 🤷🏼‍♀️

@@AndrewsWizardlyReads going way back …. I think Patient Zero was my first Ray Porter. If this is your first Joe Ledger - audio! These aren’t zombie books … and right when you think the series is going to fizzle out, it spins into overdrive. While they’re a little longer than the typical thriller … they’re usually a new monster type threat in every book. Plus … I like the animal companion that shows up here & there, Ghost. 😁 Hope you like the series! Ray Porter reads them all.
